The craziest thing about running a business is that you have to learn by doing, and you have to do all this stuff in public: in front of other people, with them watching and (maybe) judging. Two things. First, you have to fill yourself with self-love to withstand any kind of wobbliness or criticism. Second, you have to keep doing it anyway because this is how you will gather real-time data and be able to make informed decisions about how to grow and scale. Thank you so much for all the love. Do you ever find yourself overthinking and overanalyzing, to the point where you can't even get anything done? Girl, same. In this video, I talk about how perfectionism is keeping us stuck, and in order to learn, we have to start doing. This means putting stuff out there that's messy, not fully formed, and half-baked -- but allowing ourselves to exist in these in between states and therefore being ALIVE and growing. All I want to do is be in the game and keep learning and keep growing. That's happiness. For this video, I turned off monetization LOL so I hope you don't have to watch ads and can just settle in.
I'll be honest, I've been frustrated with the pace of growth on Substack. It's slow. It's article after article, often landing with a quiet thud. For 2026, I'm doing things differently. I'm going to try writing a Substack that can be turned into multi-part video content, so that I can be my own promotion engine.
So a few days ago, I had someone comments on my YT and say that they're new to the business game - and wanted some tips on how to actually close clients. I was like, SAY NO MORE I GOTCHU. Here's my true, foolproof way that I really built my business, brick by brick, through free consultations, pricing transparency, and very little follow up. Enjoyyyy!
