In Part 1, we outlined the bulk of the cases connected to this series and discussed how many of the instances were remarkably similar in some ways, and how the areas where the crimes occurred often overlapped with each other. Join Mike and Morf for part 2 of the Connecticut River Valley killings. In Part 2, we will discuss a couple of additional deaths that may be part of this series, or at least were once thought to be connected, possibly. We will then delve into some possible suspects in the murders. In this episode we are talking about the Weaver family. Ward Weaver Jr., Ward Weaver III, and Francis Weaver are three generations of Weavers who displayed vicious criminality. We will be back with all new episodes starting January 3, 2026. Happy holidays! On December 22nd, 1981, 19-year-old Rhonda Annette Hinson headed to an office Christmas party. Join Mike and Morf as they discuss the baffling death of Rhonda Hinson. Witnesses came forward the descriptions of cars seen near Rhonda's car. Police had to figure out if these were people involved in Rhonda's death or people who stopped to see what was happening. What clouded the waters even more was that it was revealed that Rhonda was not supposed to come home that night, and only a few people knew of her change in plans. The police looked closely at Rhonda's boyfriend, Greg, and a friend named Mark, whose girlfriend said she saw Rhonda's sweater in his car before Rhonda was killed. That sweater was later found in Rhonda's car. 41 years later, two big questions remain. What exactly happened in the death of Rhonda Hinson, and who was involved? you think she'd be happy! she has free rent and food for life 🤣
The explanation for the unhelpful dispatcher doesn't make sense. Mike says the dispatcher didn't know who Amanda Berry was, but then that they had prank calls, so he didn't want to get too excited, but he says he never heard of Amanda Berry 😒😒. You can't have both.
How did he post bond but not pay the wrongful death claim?? And why did the police not search the yard instead of her poor son???
I cautiously listen to episodes where I have knowledge on the subject. living in the area this happened i followed along as this unfolded. very disappointed how this was presented. it was disjointed at best. morf-your pronunciations were awful, at points i had no clue where you were talking about. I'm no fan of Travis and what he's accused of doing, but would have a very different opinion if I only had listened here. locals: listen with caution.
He has now been convicted for her murder. https://www.dailycrime.com/murder-of-christina-morris-by-enrique-arochi/
This was more like a mystery, but really good!!
Genetic genealogy doesn't always have to be paid by the police. If the family wanted to truly clear their name, they could pay for the testing. Maybe the fact that they aren't paying for it speaks volumes.
It's way too late now, but too bad they didn't check the manifest of the flight and see if any male matched that description. I don't think she would have met some random person after leaving her flight, but maybe he was sitting next to her on the plane, and they got into a conversation, and he said he would share a cab or something.
Sorry Morph, but they don't feel shame. They feel superior and that they have to teach this person.

I'm an atheist, but I really wish there was a special place in hell for someone who makes the mother watch as he stabs her 9 year old son. Just boils my blood!
Why do this case when an excellent doc just came out on Netflix?! Seems redundant. Sorry.

How does someone tie shoelaces around their own throat and walk into a lake and not get any water in their lungs or even be able to do that?? Washington state police are just dropping the ball on this one.

Playing these games at a young age when the brain isn't fully formed can be an issue. Not only does it desensitize them, but they have no reasoning skills or thoughts of consequences to help them understand it's just a game, and real life is separate from this.
You both (and the police) focused a lot on Tommy Lynn Sells, but no one brought up Angel Maturino Reséndiz, the railroad killer. Did the Dardano's live near a railroad track? Leaving with the husband is a little out of his MO, but still plausible. Check out the podcast Dead Man Talking. It's all the tapes from Angel.
