Description
"Yeah! We're not trying to be Buddha over here, we're just messy humans trying to live well in our messy lives in a messy world!" - my husband when I told him my idea for the title.
This show is for people like us.
We're not looking for enlightenment, we're just trying to live with open hearts.
We know being human is hard, but we don't want to transcend our humanity, either.
Besides, if there IS enlightenment for us regular folks, it doesn't happen by trying really hard to get it.
If there IS enlightenment, it's back to work after the flash.
So we keep our feet on the ground.
We don't do spiritual bypassing.
We don't "love and light" the hard stuff out of existence.
We're not afraid to be a downer.
We go low. We feel big. We welcome the darkness. We can hang with the shadows.
We dig beneath the surface.
We challenge the unquestioned "truths".
We wade through the mess and through it all, we find hope...
...lasting, solid, workable hope we can stand on and turn to and USE in hard times.
This isn't airy fairy fluff, but we're into magical, mysterious stuff.
We ask tough questions.
We don't need answers.
We definitely don't want the EASY answers.
We say the hard thing.
We have unpopular opinions and we're willing to share them, in love.
We are determined to live,
to find strength and meaning in a beautiful, terrible world.
There is a mystic in each of us.
We seek the magic: in ourselves, in the world and in each other
We look squarely at the suffering: in ourselves, in the world and in each other.
We challenge old thinking.
We are building the new world, and we let the old ways fall.
We are willing to come to new agreements.
We listen.
We seek, though we never find: not what were expecting, anyway.
We do find more, though. We do find peace.
But there is no THERE - We don't arrive.
But we do get there together.

I hear amazing, fabulous people with powerful messages for the world say "I don't want to be polarizing." But what if "polarizing" isn't actually a real category—just a perception? In this episode of Unlightened, we explore the fear of being polarizing and how that fear quietly makes us shrink, soften our truth, and edit ourselves into bland neutrality. You'll learn why resonance requires clarity, why disagreement isn't a failure, and how to stand in your integrity without trying to control how others react. If you've ever held back your voice because you didn't want to upset anyone, this episode is an invitation to stop being beige and start being real. amandagoldlifecoach.com @tigermystics facebook: https://www.facebook.com/kickasswithbothfeet email: hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com email list (AKA VIP hangs/ Tiger Lounge) https://mailchi.mp/39a3f717e8e0/sign-up-for-the-weekly-roundup book a free consult: https://calendly.com/kickasswithbothfeet/consultation
In this episode of Unlightened, we're talking about altars and ritual. Not in a rigid, religious, "you must do this perfectly" kind of way. But as living, breathing spaces of return and creative expression and exploration. Inside Tiger Mystics, we create a group altar every round. Each person contributes an item. I build a physical altar behind me that holds our prayers, our intentions, our growth. There's a candle I only light for our calls. Objects that stay. Symbols that represent us now, and who we are becoming. And every time, something shifts. Because ritual isn't about superstition. It's about attention. An altar is a way of saying: "Oh. There I am." In the hurly-burly, frenetic swirl of life, it becomes a touchstone. A visible, tangible place to remember what matters. A sketchbook for your soul. A physical record of what you're devoted to becoming. In this episode, we explore: * Why ritual regulates and steadies the nervous system *why you might like to try altar-making if you haven't before, and ways to deepen your practice if you do * How physical objects can anchor your intentions * How moving objects in the outer world creates shifts and meaning in your inner world (and vice versa) * How to create a simple, meaningful altar (and what to do if you worry about doing it wrong) This isn't about aesthetics or rules. It's about being anchored. If you've been craving something grounding… something sacred but accessible… something that helps you come back to yourself— this one's for you. Light a candle and let's go. hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com https://amandagoldlifecoach.com https://www.facebook.com/kickasswithbothfeet @tigermystics Book a free consult if you're curious about working together: https://calendly.com/kickasswithbothfeet/consultation
Hey friends. In this episode I propose that being uncomfortable most of the time is actually the place to be. there are 2 types of discomfort. One is staying stuck, NOT living the life you dream of, and spinning around in the same ol' same ol'...for years. THEN there is the type that I want to invite you to join me in: and that is being uncomfortable ON PURPOSE because that's what happens when you go for it and grow into your best and favorite self. We're so scared of what MIGHT happen if we make that change, take the leap, go for that new thing. But I think it's scarier NOT to. And the thing we're afraid of is essentially, at the core, fear of feeling UNCOMFORTABLE. And you already feel that way anyway. I'm here to tell you the other side, the CHOSEN discomfort that is the price of admission for all the cool shit you want out of life? It's actually not that bad and ALL the BEST feelings are on the otherside of that. So let's go. Join the club: you can hang out with me here (email newsletter!) here (facebook!) and here.(website!) And email me with any questions or ideas for future shows. hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com I'd love to hear from you, and I'd LOVE to cheer you on in YOUR radical discomfort. Go get 'em, tiger.
This episode is different from the rest. I'm doing it more like I teach in Tiger Mystics, letting ideas just flow through me. ( I bring lessons and prepare for the classrooms, but it's a lot more fluid. I move with intuition, letting the energy of the group inform what we focus on and where we go) And the thing I want to share with you today is how to release old ideas of god that you've been carrying around. How to update your thinking about it so you can have an experience and a relationship with All That Is (whatever YOU call it!) I just want everyone to feel as good as possible, to feel how loved and worthy and cared for they really are. And if I can help break down barriers to that, I will. So enjoy this more flow-y episode, no script, no pre-planned outline or agenda: just talking from my heart to yours. This is a GREAT way to get a better feel for what Tiger Mystics is about. And doors are OPEN! til valentine's day. So grab your consult ASAP. It's not too late for you to secure your spot in this magical loving community and have your own deeply satisfying, transformational adventure with us . I really encourage you to book your consultation EVEN IF you're aren't 100% sure. That's the point: it's a chance to chat with me and just get your questions answered and find out more. No pressure. Episode 49: How to Create (and Master) Time What if "mastering time" has nothing to do with control, perfection, or squeezing more into your day? In this episode, I'm redefining what time mastery actually is. And it's not about productivity hacks or perfection. Mastery, as I see it, is about relationship. We're never DONE, but we can be really skilled, adept and at ease with time. I share how my relationship with time has radically changed—from feeling trapped, rushed, resentful, and constantly behind… to feeling spacious, grounded, and at ease—even on days that include five hours at the dentist. We'll talk about: Why time scarcity is more about resistance, obligation, and self-judgment than actual hours The difference between managing time and creating the experience of time abundance How busyness often acts as emotional avoidance (and why slowing down can feel like withdrawal at first) What it really looks like to choose your calendar instead of feeling victimized by it How spirituality, recovery, and nervous system safety can make time feel fluid, expansive, and even miraculous Practical ways to start creating more space without blowing up your life This episode is for anyone who feels like they're always behind, unable to relax, dreading what's coming next, or waiting for "time off" to finally feel better. You don't need more time. You can create a completely different experience of the time you already have. There is a pernicious belief that I hear ALL the time (hell, I still believe it too sometimes!) We say it like it's just FACTS because it FEELS like it's true, and you could show me alllll the evidince to PROVE it's true.... and it's still not Truth with a capital T. Even if is, that doesn't matter. And clinging to it, reinforcing it, repeating it and just believing it can't be helped, is holding you back. So this episode is here to help! One of the best tools I have in my kit, the best skill I've practiced and gotten really good at is that I can have a breakthrough whenever I want one. Any time, any where, I can get unstuck, feel better, and keep it movin'. And I want you to be able to do this to. Over my Christmas vacation, I was getting hemmed up in some guilt and dread. So I sat down and had a breakthrough about it in FIVE MINUTES. It was so helpful that I decided to walk you through exactly what I did and how I think about this so you can do it to. It ends up breaking down into 6 simple steps, so come on through and check this out. It's totally doable and something you can learn. You'll be glad to have this ability, I promise. Also, I'm hosting a free workshop to do this in real time, together. So you can come with something that has you stumped, something tricky, a problem or issue or place where you're stuck, and I can coach you and guide you to have your own breakthrough. You first step is to get in Tiger Lounge, my free facebook group. I'll announce the date and location of the workshop on Friday the 9th. Also, you're invited to hop on my email list here: lots of goodies coming in the new year, make sure you stay in the loop. Thanks for being here, let me know if you have any questions, comments, or ideas for future shows! hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com
Two specific types of shame and useful, actionable tips for easing that burden today.
Shout out to Mary Okon (@maryokoncoaching) for asking me to share my thoughts on Self-Judgment ( I LOVE that she made this suggestion and if you have ideas, I hope you'll share them too!) hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com This podcast is fun and very me, in that it starts with a riff on what "judge not lest ye be judged" means. (Not a threat or ominous warning, but universal truth to free us from our own self-judgment) Then I use a real-life recent example of something I went through where my own self - judgment was coming up, and I studied how I handled it to share it with you all here. You get 3 of my favorite analogies for relating to your inner critic when it acts a fool…(SETTLE DOWN, RHONDA) And 4 questions I ask myself to help me get out of my confusion, shame, or wishy washiness when I want to make a decision that is true to ME, not a "should"… I also decided to make this episode part one, and I let you know what part 2 (coming next week), will be about. (hint: radical. joyful. Flip the script to be amazing.) I also share some thoughts about shame being optional and how/ why that could be….but that it's ALSO true that eradicating shame doesn't need to be a goal - here on unlightened we embrace our humanity and feel our feels, so I'm willing to befriend shame…AND we are superhuman and Divine, so why the hell not let ourselves work a miracle and be totally free from that. Thanks for being here, for doing this work with me - you're making the world a better place the more you become more YOU. amandagoldlifecoach.com hang out with me on facebook!

In this episode of Unlightened, we're talking about something most of us secretly avoid: rocking the boat. Saying the thing. Taking the stand. Pursuing your dreams. Being the person who disrupts the comfortable little status quo because your soul won't let you stay silent anymore. If you're someone who cares deeply about integrity, authenticity, and doing right by people, this episode is your permission slip to stop tiptoeing and start telling the truth—even if it makes waves. We'll dig into the three truths that make boat-rocking less fraught. 1. You're a good person. The very fact that you're worried about messing up is proof that your heart's in the right place. 2. Integrity matters, and it makes you brave. When you honor what's real, you naturally become more willing to risk discomfort, conflict, or someone else's opinion of you. 3. You can always repair. If you step in it, you can apologize. You can make amends. You can clarify. You can clean it up. (That's what emotionally mature adults do.) By the end of this episode, you'll feel more grounded in your goodness, more trusting of your voice, and more willing to be the one who rocks the damn boat—because sometimes rocking it is the most loving, aligned, spiritually honest thing you can do. And you can't be the captain of your ship if you're worried about making waves.
The Self-Care Protocol (After You Feel Your Feelings) What happens after you feel your feelings? In this episode of Unlightened, we explore the sacred importance of emotional aftercare — how to tend to yourself once the crying, raging, releasing, or processing is done. Because yes, feeling your feelings is powerful, healing work… but it also takes energy. And your system deserves recovery time. You'll learn how to build a simple, loving "self-care protocol" that helps you feel safe, grounded, and supported after big emotions move through — and how following through on what you need can deepen your self-trust and make it easier to feel things in the future. We'll talk about why rest and recovery are non-negotiable parts of healing, and how to honor your body, heart, and spirit after emotional release. This isn't about numbing or fixing — it's about nurturing. By the end, you'll have a simple, compassionate framework for taking care of yourself after you feel your feelings, so you can move forward grounded, replenished, and at peace. ✨ Listen now to learn the self-care practices that help you feel, heal, and keep your channel clear. When life feels impossible—when you're grieving, in pain, or completely overwhelmed—it can be hard to know how to keep going. In this episode of Unlightened, we talk about the sacred simplicity of baby steps and doing the next right thing—especially in the moments when everything feels too big, too hard, or too heavy. You'll learn how to use this practice to find peace and momentum through the hardest seasons of life, and why those tiny, ordinary actions matter more than you think. This isn't about hustling or pushing through. It's about trust, willingness, and letting God meet you right where you are. By the end of this episode, you'll feel grounded, encouraged, and ready to take your own next right step—no matter how small it seems. reach out with comments or suggestions, or just to say hi! hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com
If you've ever been scared to feel your feelings because they might take you over and you'd never get out, you are not alone. So many of us are afraid of our feelings — afraid that if we actually let ourselves feel them, they'll take us over, swallow us whole, and never let go. But the truth is, it's the FEAR of our emotions (and resistence to them) that makes them feel so big and scary in the first place. In this episode of Unlightened, we're debunking the myth that your emotions are too much for you to handle — and remembering what's actually true. You'll learn four powerful truths to help you feel your feelings safely, compassionately, and confidently. If you've been trying to think or fix your way out of your emotions, this episode is your permission slip to stop fighting, start feeling, and trust your ability to allow it all to move through you and help you grow into the next wonderful version of yourself. you are stronger than you think, and infinitely capable. Let this episode remind you Who You Really Are 😘 comments, questions, or ideas for future show? email me at hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com
In this episode I explore the difference between pushing ourselves past perceived limitations, and forcing ourselves from hustle, shame, or anxiety. This inevitably invites a look at the difference between what healthy rest feels like, versus the instant-gratification relief provided from quitting or giving up. This is so important to explore and tune into for yourself, because it's the difference between staying stuck and small or becoming the most expansive version of yourself that you came here to be. It's about true self care, which sometimes has us pushing way past what feels comfortable or doable. But it's so so worth it. Enjoy! hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com https://amandagoldlifecoach.com
I thought this episode was going to be about managing physical pain… but it's actually about the ache of accepting help. From knee surgery to old trauma, I unpack what happens when we stop pretending we can do it all alone, why it hurts so much to receive, and how learning to lean on others might just be the most crucial work of all. It's painful AF, but only because old wounds have kept us small and isolated. If we're willing to go through the pain of receiving support, we come back into the natural flow of life and that is worth ANY pain. Walking through it is still hard and messy though, and I hope this episode helps. amandagoldlifecoach.com hello@amandagoldlifecoach.com
