What's special is the cash value backing it. Good rule to remember - loan interest rates simply reflect the risk. If rates are low, then the risk is really low. I constantly get questions and push-back on holding so much of my client's net worth as liquidity in their Hierarchy of Wealth's Tier 1 foundation layer.
