Description

Now in our fourth series, we're back and this time around we're talking 1980s films of all shapes and sizes. But not just that, we've got eps on 80s TV, and music videos and more! As ever our episodes include trademark features such as Recastarama (where we recast the film using current actors) and Who Am I (where we work out who we would be in the film). Lots of fun to be had. [Our 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s series are also available]

Today on the podcast, Kieran and I discuss the Barry Levinson drama-comedy 'Good Morning, Vietnam'. We also spend time discussing the career of the film's star, Robin Williams, as well as other Vietnam War set films / war films in general.

This week Paul and Kieran sit down to discuss the Michael Mann film 'Manhunter', and with that comes conversation on the remake of this, 'Red Dragon', as well as the other Hannibal Lecktor films (such as 'Silence of the Lambs'), the brillaint Bryan Fueller show Hannibal as well as the books from Thomas Harris.
Yet more festive fun today on the podcast as Kieran, Paul and I discuss the Frank Capra Christmas classic, 'It's a Wonderful Life'. And get this - it's their first-time watching this.
This week Paul and I embrace the festive season by discussing 1980s Christmas film, 'Santa Claus: The Movie'.
This week Paul, Kieran and I get in the Christmas mood... by discussing a Thanksgiving film. And that film just happens to be the fantastic John Hughes comedy, 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles'.
In this episode, which I believe was recorded around this time last year, Kieran and I- both longtime fans of the show, The Simpsons- sat down to discuss the first episode of the long-running show (as well as our early interactions with the TV phenomenon), 'Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire'.
Picking up mere moments from our last recording, this time around Kieran picks who he would have had as the winners of the 1983 Oscars, giving us both a chance to reflect on the fantastic films of 1982.
This week Kieran and I returned to the 'Easy Does It' format, this time with me picking who I would have had as the winners of the 1982 Oscars.

Since we're entering the festive season, today seemed like the perfect time to delve into the archives of my original podcast- the SpielbergPod- to revive this conversation from 2016 (!!!), which sees Jake and I discuss the iconic Christmas action film, 'Die Hard'.
In this episode- recorded in my absence- Kieran and Paul go it alone to discuss the Tom and Jerry short 'Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Mouse'. (FYI- I wasn't on a sailing trip during this recording, I was travelling from Cowes to London via the Red Jet)
Hello! Apologies that the scheduling of ERRP episodes has been a little erratic of late. I recently moved flats and as a result I am dealing with lots of change. Anyway, since I'm back in the office today and so have internet for the day, I am dropping a random 1950s solo episode, which I have ready to go. In this episode- recorded back in May 2024-, I returned to the 'One Perfect Scene' format with an episode on the 'Scottie's nightmare' sequence from Alfred Hitchcock's 'Vertigo' (and my thoughts- in particular- on the film's third act, following this recent rewatch). This episode was recorded as a Patreon exclusive episode (over at https://www.patreon.com/ErrP) but now it's free to listen to, for your audio entertainment. Enjoy!
In this episode, recorded in Winter 2023, Paul and I get into the festive mood (somewhat), by discussing 'The Stalls of Barchester' which was part of BBC's A Ghost Story for Christmas series.  Along the way I fall down the stairs and ponder whether my cat is real or imginary and Paul fails to meet Hugh Bonneville. We also found time to talk about this TV special. This episode was recorded as a Patreon exclusive episode (over at https://www.patreon.com/ErrP) but now it's free to listen to, for your audio entertainment. Enjoy!
Here's another edition of Easy Does It, which was recorded for the Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/ERRP) back in 2018. This week Kieran picks who he would have had as the winners of the 1977 Oscars.
Hello! In this episode- recorded in Autumn 2024- Kieran and I discuss the career of Davd Bowie with specific focus on the music video for his song 'Life on Mars'. This episode was recorded as a Patreon exclusive episode (over at https://www.patreon.com/ErrP) but now it's free to listen to, for your audio entertainment. Enjoy!
Since today is Halloween, Kieran and I figured why not returb to one of the big horror franchises with a discussion on 'Halloween II'.
For this episode I delved into our Patreon archives (https://www.patreon.com/ERRP) to a 2018 conversation where Paul got to pick who he would have had as the winners of the 1980s Oscars, in a little feature I called Easy Does It.
Hola! In this (solo) 'One Perfect Scene' episode- recorded back in August 2024- I discuss the safe robbery scene from Alfred Hitchcock's 'Marnie'. An amazing scene, with much to discuss from it's representation of queerness, it's superb photography and much more.  This episode was recorded as a Patreon exclusive episode (over at https://www.patreon.com/ErrP) but now it's free to listen to, for your audio entertainment. Enjoy!
This week it's another return to the archives from my original podcast, the SpielbergPod, with an episode recorded back in either 2020 or 2021. It sees Kieran and I delve into the world of television directed by Steven Spielberg, specifically his contributions to the anthology show Night Gallery- 'Eyes' and 'Make Me Laugh'.
It's classic ERRP this week - both in form and content- as Kieran and I discuss the iconic 60's fantasy film, 'One Million Years B.C.'. This episode was recorded (back in 2024) as a Patreon exclusive episode (over at https://www.patreon.com/ErrP) but now it's free to listen to, for your audio entertainment. Enjoy!
What a film we have for you today! This week class is in session as Paul and I discuss the teen movie classic, 'The Breakfast Club'.
