Description
Your fortnightly dose of honesty and positivity with Rachel + Jenny = Renny. Two practicing Humans and Coaches, the premise of our show is that we talk about everything from socks to self-belief, and all sorts in between. We each prepare 3 questions in advance, but the questions are a complete surprise on the day to the other presenter, so it really could go anywhere; and it usually does! We also have regular guest slots on the show, so if you are INSPIRING and BRILLIANT then we'd love to have you on as a guest some time.

In this episode we discuss top tips for people who find new beginnings scary, what we love (or don't love) about new beginnings, beginnings we found challenging, our favourite learnings from new beginnings, favourite new beginnings in our lives so far, and when our next new beginnings will be. This was a really interesting one to talk about, so we hope you enjoy it and we'd love to know what you think about beginnings. Alignment is a verb, otherwise known as a 'doing word'! It's a practise, something to do and repeat. In this episode we talk about what alignment means to us, how it feels to be misaligned, how you can tell if you're aligned to someone else's values, when we realised the importance of alignment in our businesses, and top tips to check in with yourself to see if things are aligned. We hope you enjoy the episode and we'd love to know what you think of it. Have you ever felt misaligned? We also ...
We thought it would be great to share a reminder of what we actually do, because we've realised that we talk a lot about Coaching in general terms, but don't often talk about the specifics of what we actually do and how we help people. So, here it is! In this episode we talk about 3 things people may not know about us, what people get from working with us, what our first job was, what our current focus is and why, how we got to where we are now and where people can find us. We hope you enjoy ...
We had a lot of fun with this one, because we've both got some pretty strong opinions about positive ageing. In this episode we talk about the importance of thinking young, why the skills of the older generations can be overlooked by today's workforce, how we can combat the apparent obsession with looking young, Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbeat.io/t/andrey-rossi/seize-the-day License code: IXCNEBVQPQVTC05X Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): https://uppbe...
If you've been listening for a while you'll probably know a fair bit about us already. However, we thought this milestone episode was a great opportunity to share our back stories and give you a closer insight in to who we are, at least who we think we are! You may think differently, so it will be interesting to see. Feel free to let us know if you see something we don't! So, we both talked about 3 things people may not know about us, what our first jobs were, and how we got to where we are n...
Seeing as the vast majority of holidays are booked at the beginning of the year, plus we both love holidays, we thought we'd do an episode exploring different ways of holidaying. We talked about booking holidays far in advance (or not), what we love most about planning a holiday, preferences between a 'doing' holiday and a 'being holiday, the most unusual destinations, whether we'd do a Race Across The World-type holiday, and what has inspired us most about holiday destinations. We also talke...
If you're even vaguely interested in the traditions and meanings related to Chinese New Year, then you must listen to this. In honour of soon entering the year of the Fire Horse, we discuss beliefs about the importance of the zodiac (in this case, the chinese zodiac); the differences between our new year and chinese new year; how we can use the energy and dynamism of the Fire Horse to help gain momentum in 2026; what we're taking on board from what we've read about the Fire Horse for 2026; ho...
Welcome to a really important episode for us, as we move to weekly instead of fortnightly. This is one of our themed episodes, talking around the topic of completing things and how that can manifest. We talk about how it feels to complete things, which do we prefer - starting or finishing something, how we cope with making a start on projects, things we are proud to have finished, thoughts on that thing of "you MUST finish your dinner" for kids, and our top tips for starting something new. If...
In this episode we discuss what we enjoyed the most about the festive holiday, our word of the year for 2026, what we're looking forward to in 2026, what we're letting go of from 2025, advice for anyone struggling to get motivated this January, and what we're embracing in 2026 that we know is going to stretch us. We also mentioned the book called 'Traction: Get a Grip On Your Business' - by Gino Wickman. Check it out wherever you buy your books. Then there were some upcoming events we're invo...
This is a themed episode where we talk all about the highs and lows of 2025. We cover our highlights, what we're leaving behind in 2025, this year's challenges and what we've learned from them, the best book/podcast/film we'd recommend, our message for those struggling at this time of year, and top tips for people as we head in to 2026 - the year of the horse. A huge thank you for listening this year and we hope you'll stay with us for what's to come in 2026 where you'll see us go from fortni...
In this episode we talk about tips for public speaking, the William Blake quote: "colours are the wounds of light", marzipan, the strangest presents, what we're letting go of from 2025 and our favourite coaching questions. All wrapped up with an interruption when Rachel needed to let a workman in to the house, so Jenny had a solo interlude. Hope you enjoy the episode! This was a fun episode as I was broadcasting live from The Thrive Tribe's Business Expo in Lincoln. Luckily, it all went to plan! As always, you get nothing but full honesty with us, so this episode was a little delayed and also had to be recorded, but it's still 'as live' and completely unedited. We hope you enjoy. We talk about broken bones, knowing when it's time for self-care, favourite moments from the summer, how much we care about what other people think, top tips for coping with September, and what you've done today to make you feel proud (yes, it was inspired by the Heather Small song of the same name). During ...
In this episode we started with a listener question: "if you could talk to your younger self, what advice would you give?". A great question and a huge thank you to Julie Priestley, MD of DBS Digital, for sending the question in. Check out her website here: https://www.dbs.digital/our-team/. We also talked about summer books (do let us know what you'd add to the list), podcast recommendations (see list below), washing lines, sound baths and letting go of stuff. Podcasts we recommended: The Re...

We also talk about our recent trip to PeakeFest 2025, which is a really awesome event (run by Nicola Peake) all about visibility in busines...

In this episode we're delighted to have Helen Seymour in conversation with us. Rachel first met Helen in 2005, in Cyprus, as Rachel was detached with XI Sqn where Helen was flying the Tornado F3. Helen went on to become the first female RAF pilot on the Typhoon and her career was a highly successful one. Alongside former colleague and friend, Nic 'Rosie' Stevenson, the pair have joined forces to launch On A Mission; a platform to share expertise, establish thought leadership, connect with div...
