After a typical string of losses, the Vancouver Canucks suddenly remembered what fun hockey was like. And while the math suggests the Vancouver Goldeneyes still have a shot at the post-season, three consecutive losses have put them on the bring. Anna & Chris discuss what the last few games for each will entail, and what each must do to embrace the season-ticket holder going into 2026-27.

With how long Anna & Chris have been at the podcast game, you'd think they'd have more successful weeks of prognostication. The Goldeneyes get the expected win, and give the Fleet a run for their money, while the Canucks lose a bunch... because that's what they do too. Fights, Playoff Chances, and revoked media credentials all make an appearance in this episode.

The NHL Trade Deadline has come and gone, the Vancouver Canucks remain in last place in the standings, and didn't make all the deals everyone hoped they would. Anna & Chris share their thoughts on the view deals they did make and if they are buying into the idea that they should be happy fans considering the Canucks are "already two years into" a rebuild.

While the Vancouver Goldeneyes failed to grab some final points before the Olympic break, the Vancouver Canucks succeeded in doing more than Anna & Chris ever imagined - they got 3 points instead of 2 as they wrapped up their pre-Olympic break homestand. The pair nitpick over the usual with both the Goldeneyes and Canucks, before they spend time wondering if Adam Foote could have one foot out the door. Oh, and as usual Chris goes way off the rails before Rewind even drops.

But to ensure the pair had something meaty to talk about, the Vancouver Goldeneyes pulled off an blockbuster trade with the Ottawa Charge just under the PWHL trade deadline.

Straight from the airport, Anna rejoins Chris to catch up on all the Vancouver Canucks and Vancouver Goldeneyes have been up to while she's been away. With both teams only securing one win over the past two weeks, which team do the pair think is trending in the right direction? And with the Canucks currently doing a hybrid retool/rebuild/rewind/reverb (it's only a label), does the potential of Kiefer Sherwood returning mean it's complete?

With Anna away, Chris puts out a call to the Smylosphere to have another voice join him to talk puck and finds that call answered by Derek. The two discuss the goings on with the Vancouver Canucks in a post-Quinn Hughes world, why the team is suddenly finding so much success since, and if this was the fastest rebuild in NHL history.

The Quinn Hughes era with the Vancouver Canucks has come to an end. Anna & Chris reminisce about the time when the Canucks had a Norris trophy winning player on their team, the fact the word rebuild was actually used in a team press release, and if this is finally the day when the organization accepts that a retool is out of the question.

With both teams scoring themselves a solid win over the week, which one of the two is closer to turning the corner? And the three wonder if the Canucks are going to be forced into a tank, kicking and screaming as they might be.

It was a tough week for the Vancouver Canucks, the Vancouver Goldeneyes, and the Anaheim Ducks. Why the Ducks? Well they lost to the Canucks. So maybe that's a good thing. The Canucks find a way to grab 3 points in 3 games on the road, while the Goldeneyes had themselves a pair of 5-1 losses. Anna & Chris wonder if either is close to turning a corner or if the forecast remains poor.

Anna & Chris share some big podcast news, announcing that the Vancouver Goldeneyes will now be featured alongside the Vancouver Canucks! The pair then dive into the performances of the two teams, with the Goldeneyes kicking off their season on a good note while the Vancouver Canucks get all their notes wrong over the past week. And with a new team in the market already generating some buzz, alongside another going on an absolute tear of the season, do the Canucks need to be worried?

In a week where the Vancouver Canucks chose to shoot the puck for a couple of games, and decided to reverse course and avoid shooting the puck in a couple others, it left Anna & Chris wondering... why?! The pair react to the wackiness of getting 4 points out of a possible 8, Petey's deployment and why you can't spell Selke without Pettersson, and how the team has decided it's best to be "in it to win it."

In a week that Chris predicted would be full of downs, the Vancouver Canucks decided to have a couple ups. Credit to Anna for having some optimism. The pair discuss the odd performance over the past week, with wins against Nashville and Columbus and a third-period cave-in loss against Chicago, and wonder how that sets up that week that will be. And with Demko undergoing "emergency maintenance," how does the team persevere through it all?
