When Harry is in a very bad mood, his mother sends him outside to play in the fresh air. And his mother is right. When he feels the warm sunshine on his face, Harry's tail begins to wag—just a little. The day feels so good that Harry decides to walk to the park. There, he meets a squirrel trying to bury acorns, a little boy whose boat has drifted to the middle of the pond, and a duck with both feet stuck fast in the mud. In each situation, Harry seems to know just what to do to help. And each time he does, his tail wags a little more. © 2026 Old Mrs. Moody
While Christmas shopping at a new bookstore in town, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo find a Christmas book filled with pictures of Santa's workshop so inviting that they decide to jump right into its pages. At the count of three, they close their eyes and jump—and in the blink of an eye, they are at the North Pole. When Old Mrs. Moody accidentally starts a snowball fight with the elves, they don't mind at all. Instead, they invite their new friends inside the workshop to warm up. Inside, the elves hurry about making toys, and in the kitchen, Santa and Mrs. Claus make candy while singing "Jingle Bells." © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody

Mermaids are real! Just ask Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo. They'll tell you about the day they rescued a baby mermaid from the crab tank at the supermarket. While babysitting their friend Lizbeth's baby, Mable, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo realize they don't have anything planned for her lunch. Off they go to the market to find her something to eat. But when they pass the lobster and crab tanks in the fish department, Mable spots something incredible—a tiny mermaid swimming among the crabs! Knowing she doesn't belong there, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo work together to rescue the baby mermaid and return her safely to the sea. The story ends quietly, with a gentle mermaid lullaby sung by Old Mrs. Moody as baby Mable drifts off to sleep. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
Catbaloo shares a story from Old Mrs. Moody's life before they became neighbors. When walnut season arrives and ten tall trees begin dropping their nuts, Old Mrs. Moody calls her chickens to gather them. The hens are delighted and immediately begin imagining all the walnut treats they might make. But the walnuts are needed elsewhere, too. The squirrels who live nearby are busy gathering food for the winter, and before long, a noisy and comical battle over the walnuts begins. With Old Mrs. Moody stepping in, the chaos settles, and there turn out to be walnuts enough for everyone. © 2023–2025 Old Mrs. Moody
Old Mrs. Moody has a terrible cold, and while she waits to see the doctor, Catbaloo tells her the story of Anderson Kate and the Goody Goat Cart—a beautiful story of giving. Anderson Kate is a little girl who lives on the mountaintop. One day, she and her mother bake a chocolate cake for Grandmother's birthday. They place the cake in a little cart, pulled by two darling goats, and Anderson takes it down the mountain to the village in the valley where her grandmother lives. On her way, she hears the troubles of her neighbors and gives them each a piece of the chocolate cake. By the time she reaches her grandmother's house, not even one piece left. But wonderful things begin to happen on her way back up the mountain. At each stop, she discovers that one neighbor has exactly what another neighbor needs. By the time she arrives back home, everyone's needs have been met. Anderson Kate carried love, hope, and happiness all the way down—and all the way back up—the mountainside. I hope this story fills your heart with the very same. © 2024 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
Something is amiss at Uncle Henry's farm. The chickens have stopped laying eggs, the cows aren't giving milk, and none of the animals will eat their dinner. Even worse, they're all in foul moods. When Uncle Henry calls Catbaloo for help, she picks up Old Mrs. Moody and the two set off to investigate. But their trip is delayed when the car won't start, sending them on a short detour to Haney's Service Station. As they look for answers—on the farm and under the hood—they begin to see that animals, cars, and people all need the right kind of fuel to keep going. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo are raking and digging and hoeing—getting the ground ready to plant a community pumpkin patch. As they begin to plant the pumpkin seeds, Catbaloo is reminded of her favorite story about seeds. It's the story of Pipi Pumpkinseed—a wise big brother mouse. With no food at home to feed his nine baby brothers and sisters, Pipi must venture out into the world to find them something to eat. When he returns with ten pumpkin seeds, he gives them sage advice: They can eat their seeds, and have full tummies for one night, or they can plant their seeds and have full tummies every night—forever. But they were too hungry to care about planting, or the future, and they each decided to eat their seeds at once. But Pipi didn't. Pipi planted his seed. Soon his one little pumpkin seed grew enough food to feed every mouse in every house in the county! This story is a story about the incredible miracle of seedtime and harvest. There is a lot to be learned from Pipi and his little pumpkin seed. Come listen in and learn a little bit about gardening and a lot about hope, faith, and love. It was pure joy to produce this episode for you and your little loves to listen to together. © 2025 - Old Mrs. Moody
One morning, Old Mrs. Moody wakes to find she has shrunk to a tiny size. When Catbaloo brings an antique dollhouse down from the attic, Old Mrs. Moody finds a place to settle in. The house is full of small surprises, with working appliances and rooms that come to life at her new scale. As they search for a way to restore her to her usual size, Old Mrs. Moody wonders if she might stay small just long enough to spend one night in the dollhouse. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
A toad is singing show tunes in the creek outside Old Mrs. Moody's bedroom—and it's well past midnight. Unable to sleep, Old Mrs. Moody calls Catbaloo for help. Together, they decide it's not the toad's singing they mind, but the timing. They come up with a plan to build him a stage and help him put on an afternoon show instead. Soon the neighborhood gathers to hear the performance, and Mr. Toad finally has the chance to sing in a way that everyone can appreciate. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
At a used book sale at their local library, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo discover an old book about the Pony Express. When they linger over its pages, they find themselves stepping into the story itself. At once, they are in Sacramento, California in 1860, to witness the very first delivery of Pony Express mail. Old Mrs. Moody is chosen from the crowd and climbs the platform to grab the mail pouch as the Pony Express rider gallops by. © 2025 Old Mrs. Moody
If you keep very still in the woods at night, you can hear the forest settling into sleep. As the wind moves through the bramble brush and the animals grow quiet, Catbaloo and Old Mrs. Moody listen as each sound becomes part of a gentle lullaby for the baby animals of the forest. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
After a long day of work, a little excavator is ready for rest. As night falls, the construction site grows quiet. Dump trucks, bulldozers, scrapers, rollers, and diggers cool their engines, wash their windshields, fill their tanks, and prepare for morning. As the stars come out, it's time for the little digger to turn off his motor and close his eyes. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
On Christmas Eve, Catbaloo and Old Mrs. Moody prepare their home for the holiday. They bring in a Christmas tree, but when their kitten, Little Wilbur, breaks most of the ornaments, the tree is left nearly bare. As the evening goes on, friends begin stopping by to wish them a merry Christmas. Each brings something small and beautiful to hang on the tree, filling the house with warmth and company. By the end of the night, the tree—and the evening—are quietly transformed. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody

Charlotte enters her pony, Sonora, in the horse race at the county fair. Compared to the other horses, Sonora is small, and few expect her to win. As it unfolds, Sonora proves she has more than anyone expected. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo travel back in time to Kitty Hawk in 1903, arriving just as Orville and Wilbur Wright prepare for the first powered flight in history. As they help with the final moments before takeoff, the story follows Orville and Wilbur Wright and the determination and teamwork that made flight possible. When the time machine returns them home, they may not be alone. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
Road work begins outside Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo's houses, bringing dump trucks, excavators, and jackhammers right to their front windows. When the crew accidentally breaks the water line, the day's plans come to a halt. With no chores to do, Old Mrs. Moody and Catbaloo settle in, and Catbaloo tells a story instead. It's the tale of Marty Mole, a little mole who loves to dig. With help from his father, Marty learns that working hard matters—but so does knowing when to stop and rest. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
Old Mrs. Moody has somehow missed the story of the Bubble and Squeak Carwash—the biggest mystery Bixby County has ever known. While she and Catbaloo bake fresh peach cobbler together, Catbaloo begins to tell the tale. It starts with the Jones brothers, Jack and Otis, their mother, April Mae Jones, and a puppy left in a basket on their porch. One summer day, they take a drive that leads them into the Bubble and Squeak Carwash—and into a mystery that changes everything. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
A busy, boisterous crow interrupts Catbaloo and Old Mrs. Moody's quiet afternoon of knitting on the back porch. He flies back and forth, calling as loudly as he can, as if trying to get their attention. When they bring out a pair of binoculars to take a closer look, they see him carrying raspberries from the garden into the hollow of the sugartree. Curious, Catbaloo climbs a ladder to peek inside the tree. What she finds there makes sense of it all—and draws Old Mrs. Moody up the ladder to see for herself. © 2024 Old Mrs. Moody
