Episode 9 Melvin 'Ted' Carr The host for this episode is Charlie Worroll from the podcast, Crimelines. Join Charlie as she hosts the first Beyond Bizarre True Crime episode of 2022! Charlie discusses the very bizarre case of Melvin "Ted" Carr. In April 1977, Ted's wife Harriet walked into the garage of their Indianapolis home and found Ted dead on the floor. A hose ran from the tailpipe of his car, which was running, into the trunk. The trunk was open. Harriet peered inside, and ran out of the garage shrieking in horror. In the trunk were three bodies – a woman, a teenage girl, and a 2 year old boy. The women, who had clawed their nails off trying to get out of the trunk, had died of carbon monoxide poisoning. So had the child, and Ted – who had a gun in his pocket. It turns out that Ted had abducted the trio at gunpoint and sexually assaulted the females. And this was far from his first offense. The surprising contents of the trunk were just the latest in Ted's very long string of criminal acts. Some of his suspected victims have never been found. Episode 12 Patsy Wright This host for this episode is Justin Rimmel from the Mysterious Circumstances podcast. Join Justin as he discusses a case that is beyond bizarre – the murder of Patsy Wright. In 1987, Patsy and her sister Sally owned two lucrative wax museums in Texas. This story is perfect for Beyond Bizarre, as Berdella was the owner of Bob's Bizarre Bazaar in Kansas City. His curio shop was not what he is famous for, however – it was his torture and murder of six young men between 1984 and 1987 that earned him his fearsome nickname. When one of his captives, who had suffered horrific abuse at Berdella's hands, managed to escape and alert police, authorities unearthed unspeakable horror in the home of the Butcher, including photographs of his sexual assault of young men, evidence of grotesque methods of physical torture , and a skull buried in the backyard. Listen as Lindsay and Jenn relate the tale of the infamous Butcher of Kansas City. Episode 19 Dylan Redwine Join the host for this episode, Eric Carter-Landin from the podcast, True Consequences as he presents a story that is beyond bizarre – the murder of Dylan Redwine. In 2012, Dylan was a 13 year old boy whose mother was obligated pursuant to a court order to send her young son to visit his father, Mark Redwine. On that visit, Dylan disappeared. His father reported him missing, and 7 months later, his body was found, without his head, in the Middle Mountain area of Vallecito, Colorado. When his head was found by hikers 2 miles from Dylan's body in 2015, it told police all they needed to know. Dylan had died at the hands of the one who was supposed to love and protect him. Listen as Eric relates this tragic and repellant story of secrets, murder, deceit, and finally, justice.
