It's an age-management and longevity clinic based in evidenced-based care with cutting edge technology to promote healthy aging into their 8th and 9th decades. She remains active in education as the division head of pediatrics at Pacific Northwest University, speaker, educator, and mom. They founded their practice with the end in mind. They want to provide the best care they can to as many people as they can, with ethics in mind, intentionally refusing to use any pharmaceuticals as a revenue stream, and with open doors to all levels of practitioners, with varying interests and passions about which aspects of healthcare they want to treat, with realistic work loads. Pinnacle Wellness rejects insurance-dictated care in order to spend more time with her patients, and have found success with patients who are driven to be healthier, who are finding they save money getting their health care with Pinnacle. They started in 2023, are about to open in multiple states. She has found a wonderful local marketing company to support her growth with consistent social media content in their brand voice. She has embraced functioning as a CEO and hiring experts in their field to support their growth to stay focused on the things that she values most. My favorite quote? Dr. Chhaya Makhija is a triple board certified endocrinologist and lifestyle medicine specialist. After her training, she worked for 8 years and learned things she liked and didn't like about corporate medicine. On her 40th birthday, during the pandemic, during a walk on the beach, she got clarity on what she wanted to do - spend time with her patients, and blend her eastern medicine knowledge with her endocrinology expertise. She realized this meant she had to start her own business. A short term locum tenens job in December 2021 provided her the financial bridge she needed to start Unified Endocrine Care in 2021. It was the first direct specialty care practice in California to integrate lifestyle medicine and endocrinology. She opened her doors in 2022 and expanded to a second location in 2025. Needless to say, it's going well! Dr. Carolyn Moyers, an OB/Gyn physician in Texas, took a leap of faith when she started her own practice three years ago. Now, Sky Women's health is busier than ever and she's experienced massive growth (44%!!!) in 2025. We can't wait to see what will happen in 2026 when she finally goes all in on this amazing practice. Hear how she made the shift from employed physician to business owner. During the pandemic, she couldn't shake the thought that "women deserve better". After meeting someone who had created a practice that fulfilled her vision, she started building Sky women's health during her two days off per week, in September 2020. That's right, she was exhausted, raising three kids during the pandemic, and took on more work. Yet, because it was aligned with her dream, she was not depleted, she was energized. She believed in her vision and made it happen. It hasn't happened overnight, but what's she's built is amazing and you can see the light in her eyes if you watch this video on YouTube.
