Hasbro finds itself yet again in hot water for Magic the Gathering. A new lawsuit was filed claiming Hasbro's board and president Chris Cox failed to adequately provide shareholder value by diminishing the long term viability for Magic the Gathering from overproducing Magic Products! Connor and Wyatt the  @TypicalGeminiMTG  break down all the juicy bits from the lawsuit and discuss if we think it will stick.We also discuss the TMNT rares and mythics being fully revealed all at once after the cards found their way into Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease kits. Then Connor goes solo breaking down early previews and product announcements for Secrets of Strixhaven, and Marvel's Super Heroes!

Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease weekend is upon us and it is shaping up to be one of if not THE BEST set of 2026, and it's only January! Connor and Wyatt, the Typical Gemini, discuss the sets preview season, delays in shipping, and break down some of our favorite cards from the years first set!

We got a major update from Wizards of the Coast! Standards Banned and Restricted announcement has been moved up and Vivi is in their crosshairs!!! Unfortunately that B&R won't happen until November 10th... Leaving standard in a very stagnant position until Vivi Orinitier catches the ban hammer. Connor and  @TypicalGeminiMTG  discuss what impacts this may have and why they would choose to shoot themselves in the foot like this. I just got back from GenCon 2025! I go over what its like to play in a Regional Championship Qualifier event, partake in a Gavin Verhey Unkown event, and gush to  @TypicalGeminiMTG  about all the cool cards and cooler people I met! We also talk about how suffocating it is to be a Magic fan right now. We hadn't even gotten to the Edge of Eternities release weekend and we are already being bombarded with Spiderman cards, the Soul Stone, and even Avatar the Last Airbender promos! Just let me enjoy my space set!

We've been Edging for an Eternity and now Wizards of the Coast slings some web right into our faces with Spider man previews! The very same week we begin the Edge of Eternities prerelease weekend! I also enlist the help of  @TypicalGeminiMTG  to discuss the most recent earnings call where we learn the Final Fantasy set had $200 Million in revenue ON THE FIRST DAY!!! As well as some hints for where Magic's Universes Beyond will be going in the years to come!

The best selling Magic the Gathering set of all time is out and in (some) peoples hands. It's expensive, its beautifully designed, and frankly... its worthy of being the best selling in some ways.  @TypicalGeminiMTG  and I break down the limited environment, the commander decks, and talk about some of our favorite singles from the set!

The Best Selling Magic the Gathering set of ALL TIME gets not one, not two, but three Secret Lair drops with gorgeous art. Surely Wizards of the Coast won't manage to screw this one up... right? Sadly we were wrong. Between 5 hour lines, products selling out within the first hour, lines pausing, scalpers galore, and no transparency; this will certainly go down as one of the worst run drops of all time for MTG. We give you some tips to avoid Secret Lair line clogging, dive into Hasbro layoffs, give a positive update on the TCG Player union fight with ebay, and hypothesize when we will get another print run of Final Fantasy play boosters. Also we give a brief rant about how Marvel screwed up after Endgame and dropped the ball HARD with Thor Love and Thunder.... for some reason.

Ladies and Gentlemen it is not a fun one today. Ebay, who bought TCG Player in 2022, is laying off all of the employees in their Syracuse, New York warehouse, and moving the entire operation to Kentucky. Seemingly in an attempt to stop the Unionization efforts from the Syracuse TCG Player Employees!  @TypicalGeminiMTG  and I discuss the ramifications of this and if there is anything we can do as consumers. We also go over the rules changes to Sagas that will begin with the release of the Final Fantasy Magic the Gathering Set, The Secret Lair X National Association of Latino Arts and Culture: Nuestra Magia, and dating sims that let you... have relations... with household objects and the very concept of Existential Dread?!?!

Between the Through the Ages bonus sheet being available in 1/3 of all play boosters and in EVERY collector booster, The best value in secret lair drops we've seen in what feels like years, AND the general card quality for the set; Final Fantasy is shaping up to be the most pushed set in a long time!
