Haley Gow is a multi-sport strength athlete with a lifetime of competition experience. Sal Sabatino made his debut in Grip Sport by winning Maryland's Strongest Hands 2025 beating several veteran competitors. 2025 was a great year for Sal as he competed often, going toe to toe with some of the sport's best lifters. He continued to get stronger and improve with each performance climbing up the ranks and finishing the year in the Men's Overall Top Ten (7th) for the North American Rankings. Sal has a competitive background in Strongman, Arm Wrestling, and is a certified closer of the CoC 3 (Captains Of Crush 3). Northeastern Regional Championships for Grip Sport International were held in Vermont by Vince Broderick. The events contested were 2 3/8" Napalm Nightmare, 2 Hand Flask, Inch Pinch, Meat Hooks Deadlift, and a Medley. Congrats to Jedd Johnson and Joanna Hull for becoming the Northeastern Regional Champions this year!

Eric Roussin joins The Grip Show to cover the results for the 13th International King Kong Grip Challenge. The events this year consisted of the 2.25" FBBC Crusher, Freestyle Hub, 1 5/8" Thumblaster (Arm Assassin), and the Little Bighorn. The competition reached participation from 43 venues across the world and had 350+ adult competitors. Including the youth divisions the numbers were not too far from 400 total competitors. Several World Records were set and even more weight class records have been bumped higher. Congratulations to all of those who hosted and competed. Thank you all!

Sebastian Pacey-Smith joins The Grip Show to talk about the first ever Canada Maritimes Regional Championship. The event was a success with 25 competitors showing up to test their grip. With a lot of climbers in attendance the lighter weight classes were packed and 15 GSI weight class records were broken when everything was said and done. Congrats to Sebastian Pacey-Smith for taking the Men's Regional Championship and to Annie McCaskill for winning the Women's Championship! The Grip Sport International Central Canada Regional Championship was hosted by Andrew Nguyen and Rachel Hartviksen on September 13th contesting: Mini Inch Pinch, Wrist Wrench 2-3/8”, Sarah's Block, and Crimp Plate 3/4. They join the show and discuss several key points to running a smooth grip competition. With 32 competitors attending the regional event (half of the pack being first time lifters) it will be interesting to see how they continue to evolve their competitions while introducing the sport to new audiences.
