On June 26, a small group of young people will be getting a taste of missions in a week long trip to the state of South Dakota through a program known as Apostolic Youth Corps. Among whom is your host. Over the next few weeks Jaken will be interviewing some fellow AYCers about their story, and what it is that has motivated them to do this thing. Today’s talk is with a 15 year old young man from the little town of Chapel Hill, TN. Listen in as he shares his hopes and prayers for this coming adventure.

Every year at our church we have a forum where we sit down and allow the youth to ask us any questions they may have. It can be as simple as "What's your favorite book of the Bible?" or as complicated as "How do you deal with the loss of a loved one?" (Spoiler alert: Both of these questions are tackled in this podcast.) This episode may sound a bit chaotic. It is an up close and personal encounter with the Reality of how being a youth pastor tends to sound: loud, chaotic, fun, and deeply rewarding. I tend to want these episodes to sound excellent, polished, and pretty perfect. This is none of those things, yet I think this may be my favorite episode ever. Give it a listen, and let it bless you!

Yes, we acknowledge Christmas is technically over, but as Matthew West says, “The Light of the world is still here.” Also we aren’t talking about much of the per se “Christmas Story.” We are however featuring Christmas clips such as our opening clip, the song “Where are you Christmas,” from the Grinch movie.
In “The Polar Express” a quote is debated a bit is it that “Seeing is Believing” or is it “Believing is Seeing.” The Biblical Christmas story contains quite a bit of this debate as well. Let’s talk about those who believed to see the appearance of Jesus on this Earth!
