🎙️ Tha Motiv8tor’s Table Podcast

From the battlefield to the boardroom—this is not motivation, this is survival turned into purpose.

Tha Motiv8tor’s Table Podcast delivers raw, transformational conversations about resilience, healing, leadership, and rebuilding from rock bottom. Hosted by JayR McIntyre, widely known as Tha Hood Motiv8tor, this platform goes far beyond inspirational talk—it confronts truth, trauma, and the real cost of becoming great.

JayR McIntyre is a U.S. Army Combat Veteran, Bronze Star recipient in combat, TEDx Speaker, author, and Top 50 Motivational Speaker in the World. He is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., grounded in service, leadership, and community uplift.

JayR is the author of three powerful books available on Amazon:

From the Block to the Board

Tha Elephant

A Good Heart Don’t Pay Bills

Each book reflects lived experience—unfiltered lessons on trauma, leadership, generosity, failure, and rebuilding when life hits hard.

JayR’s journey did not begin with privilege or opportunity.

He grew up in the heart of California’s gang culture, witnessing his mother’s battle with drug addiction before losing her to AIDS. As a child, he experienced homelessness and lived on Skid Row, learning survival before success. Later, he served three combat deployments to Iraq, returning home with the invisible wounds of PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury—battles that reshaped his life forever.

After the military, the war didn’t end.

JayR faced devastating business failures, financial collapse, and identity loss—only to rebuild from the ground up. He earned his MBA in Business, became a Doctoral Candidate in Business (Graduating 2026), and transformed pain into purpose—building a global platform rooted in truth, discipline, and resilience.

Every episode of Tha Motiv8tor’s Table dives into:

Rising after trauma and loss

Leadership forged under pressure

Entrepreneurship without filters

Faith, identity, and starting over

Mental health, resilience, and accountability

JayR doesn’t speak from theory.
He speaks from experience.

This podcast is for:

Those climbing out of dark seasons

Veterans carrying invisible wounds

Entrepreneurs rebuilding after failure

Anyone hungry to become the strongest version of themselves

This isn’t hype.
This isn’t fluff.

This is survival refined into purpose. 💯🔥

Podcast Title: Tha Motiv8tors Table Host: Dr. JayR McIntyre Summary: JJ Howland, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former radio reconnaissance signals intelligence Marine, joins Dr. JayR McIntyre to share how he rebuilt his life after military service. Raised in a wrestling family in Virginia Beach, JJ gave up college scholarships to join the Marines after 9/11, then lost his sense of purpose and identity once he transitioned out, spiraling into years of drinking, drug use, and homelessness. A near overdose and the look on his parents’ faces in the hospital became the turning point that led him into cognitive processing therapy at the VA. From there he rebuilt through fitness, a 30 day sobriety challenge that has now stretched past five years, and a return to wrestling that grew into his own gym in Atlanta. After watching one of his young athletes attempt suicide, JJ closed the gym to travel full time, now coaching wrestling and sharing his story of addiction, mental health, and resilience with veterans, entrepreneurs, and kids across more than 110 cities and 11 countries. Main Topics: ● Military life and transition ● Overcoming addiction ● Mental health and healing ● Becoming stronger after pain ● Leadership and accountability ● Building a new life after setbacks ● Why your story is not over Intriguing Quotes: “Your validation comes from you, not from external, not from other people.” (JJ Howland) “That small simple task is the one thing that started the process of getting me clean from drugs, getting me sober, getting me back in fitness shape, physically and mentally.” (JJ Howland) “Give more than you ever think about receiving.” (JJ Howland) “Everything that we do is a choice. If you don’t change it, you’re choosing it.” (JJ Howland) “Where do the healers go get healed? Where do the motivators go get motivated?” (Dr. JayR McIntyre) “Pain doesn’t define you.
