Time for your FRIDAY THE 13TH BONUS EPISODE!! We're welcoming back our horrorhound friend and amazing tattoo artist Zip and Whitney is taking control of the narrative to talk about another installment in the storied Friday the 13th franchise, Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan! A group of high school graduates set sail on a cruise ship from Crystal Lake in New Jersey that somehow connects to the Atlantic Ocean and gets to Manhattan... don't think about it too hard, and it's fine! They're terrorized by the ultimate stowaway, a resurrected Jason Voorhees, who picks them off as the ship takes nearly the entire runtime to reach NYC. We get to spend about 20 minutes in Vancou... I mean... MANHATTAN, while the film received the franchise's typical MPAA neutering, we get to see a few better deaths than we have seen so far in the series.Find Zip and book him for tattoos, painting or sculptures at both @zip_tattooist and @zip_painter on Instagram.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
Whitney and Jack swear by The Cowboy Way, but Derrick had never even heard of it until they started talking about it. Now, we'll see how it holds up! Unfortunately, this film is not available streaming anywhere legally, but if you're so inclined to set sail with your friend "Troy Rent", it is out there. We typically won't do a movie that isn't available in any form, even physical, but this is one of the movies that Jack pitched the month's theme for, so we're getting into it anyway. Woody Harrelson and Kiefer Sutherland play rodeo roping partners-on-the-outs that get wrapped up in a human trafficking and slavery scandal run by Dylan McDermott while trying to save their old friend Nacho. They have to travel from New Mexico to New York City, and the fish-out-of-water hijinks ensue. We also get graced for the second time in two episodes with the gorgeous visage of one of our favorites, Ernie Hudson! Not to mention, quite possibly the greatest dummy death in show history.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
"The war on drugs will never be won as long as people can pee and poo in a bucket." - JackLara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life, aside from being a mouthful, tries to raise the stakes on the first entry by sending Lara on a globe-spanning quest to stop a mythic device that could end the world, but mostly settles for repeating the motions of a video game without the player’s sense of control. Angelina Jolie’s effortless confidence does a lot of the heavy lifting as the film hops between exotic locations, elaborate traps, and villains who feel more like obstacles than characters. It’s slick and energetic, yet oddly weightless, an adventure that looks impressive in motion while never quite convincing you there’s anything truly at risk beyond the next action set piece.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
The Haunting follows a group of emotionally fragile strangers, portrayed by a surprisingly deep cast, who sign up for a sleep study in a massive, aggressively haunted mansion... which sounds like a completely normal research opportunity. As the experiment quietly collapses, Hill House reveals itself as a gothic nightmare full of moving walls, tragic backstory, and architectural choices that clearly resent human happiness. The film leans hard into atmosphere and spectacle, letting its ghosts, secrets, and crumbling sanity do the heavy lifting while the characters slowly realize that this house is not interested in their personal growth or survival.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
Speed 2: Cruise Control raises the stakes by putting the “can’t slow down” concept on a luxury cruise ship, where former cop Alex Shaw and vacationer Annie discover their relaxing getaway is being hijacked by a disgruntled tech villain with a grudge and a keyboard. As the massive ship barrels forward with all the agility of a floating shopping mall, the heroes scramble to outthink a plan that involves both cyber sabotage and very old-fashioned collisions. The result is a glossy, overconfident sequel that leans into spectacle, proving that momentum is a flexible concept when you’re dealing with something the size of a small city.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
Ep 187: Twister - JAN-uary

Ep 187: Twister - JAN-uary

2026-01-0502:21:58

Twister follows a group of storm-chasing scientists who treat tornadoes like both a research grant and a personal vendetta. As rival teams race across Oklahoma farmland in increasingly dented pickup trucks, divorced meteorologists Jo and Bill get pulled back together by unfinished emotional business and several extremely aggressive funnels of destruction. The film barrels forward with roaring weather, flying debris, and a sense that every conversation can wait until after the next near-death experience, turning natural disaster into a loud, fast-moving test of science, stubbornness, and nerves. Turn up the surround sound and tune in!Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
This is a REPLAY of our livestream from November 18th, 2025, where we discussed the 2025 adaptation of THE RUNNING MAN!We went to the theater to see the brand new adaptation of the Richard Bachman (aka Stephen King) classic story, directed by one of Derrick's favorite directors, Edgar Wright! Down-on-his-luck father Ben Richards, played by human capybara Glen Powell, enters a brutal televised game show where “runners” must survive 30 days on the run while being hunted by professional killers. Desperate to secure funds to care for his sick daughter and escape the oppressive dystopian state, Richards becomes a symbol of defiance against a corrupt system built on spectacle and fear.
Jack threw together a little trivia game for Derrick and Whitney, quizzing us on past episodes using the worst reviews of various episodes that he could find on Letterboxd and IMDb. See if we can remember what we even watched and have some laughs together on this trip down memory lane! Immediately following the trivia, we have a special clip show including unused stingers, favorite jokes, and Jack's special edition of the ramblings of a madman!Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
Our intrepid hero, Din Djarin, finally makes his way to Mandlore to search for the Living Waters and redeem himself from the shame of showing off his sexy Pedro Pascal face only to be kidnapped by a nightmare creature and its up to Grogu to enlist the help of Bo-Katan to save Mando. Along the way we learn some more about this history of Mandalore and the Kryze Clan as well as getting a glimpse of the Mythosaur, long thought extinct. Exciting stuff and we're talking all about it with our co-host from Bad Movies Worse People, Whitney! The Mandalorian Chapter 17, The Apostate, kicks off season three by reminding us of Din Djarin’s life philosophy—strict rules, no helmet removal, and constant quests. While Din tries to redeem himself in the eyes of his ultra-traditional Mandalorian sect, the episode spends much of its time reestablishing lore, reintroducing allies, and lining up objectives. It’s polished and comfortably familiar, but also cautious, leaning more on franchise maintenance than momentum, as if the show is easing itself back into action rather than charging ahead.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including these Han Took Shots First episodes early and ad-free, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com

We all know that Jack loves Sinbad, and since Rodeo Month was his idea, we should've known it was just so he could make us talk about another of Sinbad's films. This time we're talking about the HBO Original picture, The Cherokee Kid, starring, of course, Sinbad as well as Ernie Hudson, Burt Reynolds, James Coburn and Gregory Hines with a special early appearance from Walton Goggins! Sinbad plays an orphaned settler who sets out to seek revenge against the evil land developer and goon responsible for the death of his parents. Along the way he has to learn to be a mountain man and a gunfighter from two legends of the Old West, eventually confronting his parents' killer and his gang. Will Derrick like this installment of Jack Loves Sinbad? Or will it be another Houseguest incident?Prime: $3.79/$9.99 - Apple: $3.99/$9.99Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
Our mid-break special episode takes us back to Hogantown as we discuss Santa With Muscles! This one follows Hulk Hogan as a self-absorbed millionaire who bonks his head, gets amnesia, and becomes convinced he’s actually Santa Claus, much to the confusion of everyone around him. While wandering around in full red-and-white gear, he stumbles into a local orphanage threatened by an over-the-top villain, becoming its unlikely protector. Hogan charges through the trouble with holiday spirit, accidental heroism, and the kind of confidence only someone who forgot who they are can truly possess.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including ad-free main feed episodes, at patreon.com/worsepeople and it is 50% off until the end of the year!Find our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com

We wanted to give you a taste of Latchkey Vids, our TV recap show where we discuss forgotten or never-known television shows from the 1990s. This episode of Latchkey Vids was a very special presentation. Taking a short break from Cop Rock, WE bring you this forgotten British sitcom that only ever aired one time, HEIL HONEY, I'M HOME! That's right, it's a Hitler sitcom. Hitler and Eva Braun are living a very modest existence next door to their Jewish neighbors, the Goldensteins. The British Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, is coming to visit, and Adolf wants to ensure it goes off without a hitch, which, of course, it doesn't.

When those rules are broken, the Mogwai multiply and transform into a horde of gleefully destructive gremlins who treat Billy’s small town like their personal theme park of chaos. What starts as a cozy Christmas gift quickly turns into a battle against tiny, cackling agents of mayhem, forcing Billy and his friends to outsmart creatures wreaking havoc in Pennsylvania.
In this final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, “In the Name of Honor,” the Pyke Syndicate wages war on Boba Fett’s forces in Mos Espa, but Boba’s got backup: Din Djarin, the Mods, Black Krrsantan, and a very dramatic rancor entrance. There’s blaster fire, explosions, and a showdown with Cad Bane that ends with Boba proving old-school Tusken skills still work best. And just when things look grim, Grogu shows up to tame a rampaging rancor like it’s a sleepy puppy. The Pykes are ultimately driven out, solidifying Boba’s control over the city and bringing the conflict to an end.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including these Han Took Shots First episodes early and ad-free, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com

This is just a little taste of all the great content you can get at patreon.com/worsepeople!It took Whitney and Derrick a year to convince Jack to see this movie, and once he did, he was hooked. VIOLENT NIGHT is a Christmas action comedy starring David Harbour and John Leguizamo. David Harbour plays Santa Claus, who used to be a Viking, apparently, and he has to save a little girl and her family from a group of terrorists led by John Leguizamo, who take them hostage. It's violent (duh), bloody, and hilarious, and we're talking all about it!
In this episode, the second of The Mandalorian’s unofficial season 2.5, Din Djarin visits Grogu, and accidentally walks in on Jedi daycare run by Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano. He ultimately decides not to interrupt the youngling’s path while Luke and Ahsoka Tano discuss Grogu’s future. While Grogu is busy leveling up in frog levitation, trouble brews back on Tatooine. Cad Bane saunters into the newly christened Freetown like a dusty gunslinger, encountering Cobb Vanth and warning the town to stay out of the coming war. The confrontation ends with Cad Bane shooting Vanth, escalating tensions before the showdown with the Pyke Syndicate.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including these Han Took Shots First episodes early and ad-free, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
This supersized episode, celebrating our 3rd anniversary, revisits our second-ever episode as we discuss Cool as Ice! It follows Johnny, a mysteriously chill biker played by Vanilla Ice, whose strangely cinephile-related wardrobe alone could cause seizures. When his crew gets stranded in a small town, Johnny zeroes in on honor-student Kathy, whose life is about as rebellious as vanilla ice cream. Chaos, romance, and a lot of early-’90s fashion choices ensue as Johnny tries to win her over and help her family out of trouble, proving that sometimes the coolest thing you can do is show up, perform a guerrilla-style rap show, and say “lose the zero and get with the hero” with complete sincerity. We're kicking off season 2.5 of The Mandalorian smack dab in the middle of The Book of Boba Fett with Chapter 5: The Return of the Mandalorian! Chapter 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, “Return of the Mandalorian,” could easily be retitled “Meanwhile, in Din Djarin’s Show…” because Boba takes the week off. After completing a bounty, he reunites with the Armorer and learns more about the Darksaber but is exiled from his covert for removing his helmet, and then trades in his old ship for a souped-up starfighter with a surprisingly nice paint job. Finally, Fennec Shand recruits him to aid Boba Fett in the upcoming conflict against the Pyke Syndicate.Get a lot more from Worse People Productions, including these Han Took Shots First episodes early and ad-free, at patreon.com/worsepeopleFind our exclusive merch in our new webstore at shop.badmoviesworsepeople.com
