'Sirāt has recently been nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Sound and made history with being the first all-female team to receive that nomination. Veronica had the opportunity to sit down with Laia Casanovas, one of the film's sound designers, to discuss what went into creating the pulse-pounding sound, the balance of intensity and quietness and how this became the project of a lifetime.
