World Wetland Day is celebrated annually on February 2nd to raise awareness for these critical ecosystems.Irish Peatlands Conservation Council is an NGO that takes action to celebrate and protect peatlands in Ireland. Founded in 1982, the IPCC has worked on many projects involving communities to conserve peatlands.
