On this weeks episode, Britton takes us through her journey from the very beginning. Growing up in Virginia, Wilson started off as a gymnast /dancer following her sisters footsteps. As soon as she shifted to track and field she learned the benefits of taking the sport serious. Last season wilson had a break out season, including becoming the first athlete to ever win the 400m and 400mh at the Southern Eastern Conference (SEC) Championships, World Championship God Medal etc…. Born and raised in New Jersey, McLaughlin easily fell in love with freedom our sport provides. “I always had hope that this would happen, but I didn’t think it would be like this,” she answered viewing her career as a kid. At the age of 17 Sydney made her first appearance in the 2016 Olympic Games. With that experience 4 years later she takes home two Olympic gold medals along with her second world record. Sydney not only is inspiring on the track, her spiritual journey is just as moving. She had her son just two years before the Olympic Trials, and booked her ticket to Tokyo as the top 400m sprinter. Not getting the place she wanted, she also faces some other very upsetting news.
