Rabbi Levi relayed the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, who argued that a stable and enduring moral life is impossible without a divine foundation. The Rebbe's position was supported by interpreting the simultaneous utterance of the Ten Commandments as a sign of the inseparability of laws between man and God and laws between man and man.
