In 2011, 3 students were found dead within months from the North Port High School in Sarasota Co, Florida. On March 15th 2011, 16 year old Marcus Freeman passed away. That day, he was driving his girlfriend home when he got into a car crash and died from his injuries. A devastating loss but not the last the community would face. A month later, on April 8th 2011, 16 year old Wesley McKinley passed away. The next month, on May 4th, a student from the same school, 17 year old Brittany Palumbo was found dead in her bedroom closet. 15 days after the death of Brittany Palumbo the school board of Sarasota Co went to investigate the North Port High School. The Board had been asked to investigate a situation that involved the possible hypnosis of students by the school principal Dr. George Kenney. On May 17th 2011, Dr. George Kenney was placed on administrative leave. Parents and students alike began to accuse the principal of not knowing the dangerous side effects of hypnosis and aiding in their deaths. Back in 2001, Michelle Hundley Smith was a 38 year old married mother of 3  living in Eden, NC.  She had a 19 year old daughter, a 14 year old daughter and a 7 year old son. ON December 9th 2001, she left her home to go Christmas shopping for the kids. She was allegedly headed to a nearby Wal-Mart. She left around 8:30pm and headed to the shopping area in Martinsville, VA which was about 17 miles away from the home. She took her green 1995 Pontiac TransSport Van and went alone. She never made it home that night. 22 days later, she had not returned. She was reported missing on December 31st 2001. Oddly enough, there was another woman who vanished a few months prior to Michelle in the same area. 33 year old Angela Whalen Hudson vanished in Ruffin, NC about 20 minutes from Eden. Angela was last seen on September 20th 2001 by her husband Robert Hudson at her home. Angela had filed for divorce shortly before this and the day she vanished she was meant to have the 2nd meeting with her divorce attorney. 24 years after she vanished, no one knew what happened to her, just like Michelle.  Then on February 19th 2026, 24 years after Michelle vanished, it would then be revealed by the Rockingham Co SO that they had come in contact with the missing Michelle Hundley Smith herself. She was alive and well. However, her current whereabouts will remain undisclosed per her request and she asked her family not to contact her. This woman was not even yet a pre-teen when she vanished from the states, now she begged for help to return and escape her captor.  Back in 1997, Rosalynn McGinnis was 12 years old living with her mother, stepfather and brothers in Poteau, Oklahoma.  She was attending middle school on January 31st 1997 and never returned home. 19 years later, a woman showed up at the US Consulate in Nogales, Mexico. She had 8 kids following behind. It was July 2016 and the woman told the guards on duty that she was an American citizen and she had been kidnapped many years ago. Her name? Rosalynn McGinnis. By September 2017, a year after Rosalynn’s escape, the DSS confirmed that her captor had been located in Mexico. This was the first time any US authority had located him since 1997. His name? Henri Piette. Rosalynn’s stepfather. Rosalynn was trapped with her kidnapper and was forced to have his children as a teenager. Henri frequently moved the family all around Mexico and Guatemala. 19 years and 9 kids later, Rosalynn was finally free. She had survived this monster for nearly two decades. On December 26th 2021 police were called to a Texaco gas station in Garland Texas. Garland PD arrived at 730 W Walnut St that evening to find 4 victims. They all appeared to be teenagers. CCTV footage of the incident was located in the gas station. The victims deceased inside were found to be 14 year old Xavier Gonzales, 6 year old Ivan Noyola and 17 year old Rafael Garcia.  Now, upon full examination of the CCTV footage, Detective Lucas Shupe, the lead on the case would explain that when the white pickup truck pulled into the lot, there were 2 occupants, the driver who was an adult male and the teen passenger. The teen didn’t leave the vehicle upon arrival. Instead, it was the adult male who went into the store and purchased medicine, looking around the store. He then returned to the truck and appeared to be talking to the passenger. Both were seen pointing inside the store. The truck then backed up, circling around the store through the fuel pumps. They left the view of the camera briefly before returning. This time, the teen exited the truck. He now had on a baseball cap and a mask, the kind we all know well from covid. He was wearing dark colored shorts, dark colored slides and no shirt. He headed to the front of the store, opened the door and began killing. 14 year old Abel Acosta was charged with murder, however vanished that day and has not been seen since. Back in 2023, 6 people were renting a home together in Berkeley, MO. This was nearby St.Louis and the international airport. 29 year old Naaman Williams, 23 year old Mikayla Thompson, 26 year old mother Gerielle German and her 3-year-old son Ashton Mitchell as well as 25 year old mother Ma’Kayla Wickerson and her 3-year daughter Malaiyah. A mother of one of the victims pointed detectives in the direction of an online group, often referred to as a tiktok and YouTube cult. This was led by a man with an online platform named Rashad Jamal. Rashad had created ‘The University of Cosmic Intelligence.' This "cult" had been linked to 2 other murders and the cult leader's own conviction. Now, 6 people had mysteriously vanished. This is a deep dive into the massive compilation of information regarding a murder discovered within a house fire and teenage sons gone missing. Two separate trials, 3 suspects but outcomes you would never expect. Present in this case is manipulation, false statements, sick behavior, past trauma, past convictions and many different versions of the same story. The murder of Terry King and the conviction of his preteen sons Derek King and Alex King. Back on November 26th 2001 in Cantonment, Florida a 911 call came in around 1:30 in the morning about a family home on fire. He believed the owner was inside, a man named Terry Lee King. He could see Terry’s car in the driveway. Firefighters found that the home was completely locked from the inside. They kicked down the doors and rushed inside to stop the fire. They went room to room searching for anyone inside. One of the detectives would accidentally touch a foot before realizing there was a body. They would locate a man sitting in a chair with his legs up on a sofa. He was fully dressed with shoes and a camouflage jacket on. A coffee cup was sitting beside him on the chair. He was found to be deceased. He was pronounced dead at 2:02am. After 30 minutes, the fire was extinguished.  The homicide team was quickly called as firefighters found that this was a typical death by fire. This man had injuries to his head and blood spatter was found on the walls. While he was taken for an autopsy and identified to be 40 year old Terry King, arson investigators were canvassing the home.  However, it was known that Terry had two young sons. Back in 2021, Derontae Martin was a 19 year old living in Madison County, MO. On the evening of Saturday April 24th 2021, he had gone to a birthday party at a rural home belonging to James "Jimmy" Wade. Jimmy pointed the officer to the stairs and they went to the second floor. As they entered the bedroom, Jimmy pointed to a door that led to an unfinished area. He had to step on the rafters for footing because there was no floor. Then the deputy saw the body of a Black male between the rafters. He was laying on his back and was unmoving and silent.  Derontae’s family learned of his death the following morning from other family members, not the police. April 29th, Madison County SD announced the results of the preliminary investigation stating that he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Fredericktown home. His mother never believed this was the case. On March 15th 2021, a call for help escaped a prison-like room created to hold the victim inside for the last two decades. A man then called the police stating that he was concerned for the welfare of an individual and gave the address. This was a home in Twekesbury, Gloucestershire, England. Police responded to the call that evening and inside the residence, found a frightened and gaunt victim who smelled strongly of body odor. They would learn that a 40 year old woman had been held captive here for the last 25 years. She had gone missing as a 16 year old and had been found alive after all these years. Mother of 10 Amanda Wixon was charged with false imprisonment, 2 charges of requiring a person to perform forced labor and 3 charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. Are family murders on the rise? What is causing this? In this episode, we're discussing two eerily similar survivor stories. On December 17th 2024, in West Valley City, Utah 5 bodies were found shot inside of a home. A mother, father and 3 children were deceased but the eldest son, Sha Reh, was breathing. He would survive, blinded by the murder-suicide committed by his own father. Then on December 22nd 2025, another teen would be shot in the face by her family and survive. This time she would name her mother’s killer and state exactly what happened to her. Her stepfather, Jason Kenney had shot them after an argument over Monday night football. What REALLY Happened to Dee Warner? On April 25th 2021 Dee Ann Warner was believed to go missing. Her daughter Rikkell would state that during her last conversation with her mother the night prior, Dee had declared that she was leaving Dale, for good. Now, Rikkell made sure to add that it was common for Dee to leave Dale only for a couple of days to cool down after a fight. However, she never stopped speaking to her children and she always took her little sister Angelica. She never went no contact. But that night prior, Rikkell asked her mother if she sold her trucking company would it fix the marriage and Dee said, “My marriage is already over. You can’t go back from this.” Rikkell said she seemed more sure than ever about divorcing him. Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas were high school best friends before they were mowed down while riding an e-bike on September 29th 2025. The hit and run ended in the death of both teens but was determined to not be accidental.
