The Mizzou Basketball season is over following a loss to Miami in the NCAA Tournament. The result was disappointing due to the location of the game, held just down the road from Columbia in St. Louis, Missouri. But the Tigers never were able to get on track offensively, and despite taking a late lead, the game quickly got away from them after a quick Miami run. The regular season is over, and the Missouri Tigers finished 20-11, and 10-8 in the SEC conference, tied for 7th. It was a disappointing week where the Tigers went 0-2 to finish conference play out with losses at Oklahoma and at home to Arkansas in Overtime. But despite the poor results of the last week, the Tigers didn't harm their NCAA Tournament chances, as most bracketologists have them still hanging around a 10 seed. Mizzou Basketball is playing it's best basketball of the season at the right time of the year. After finishing last week 2-0, which included a quad 1 win over a ranked Tennessee squad, and a road win over Mississippi State, the Tigers have moved themselves off the bubble and look to be fully in the NCAA Tournament. Missouri Basketball was off to their best start to SEC play since they joined the league after the Tigers defeated Kentucky in Rupp Arena. But they lost momentum when they travelled to Oxford to take on Ole Miss, one of the lower ranked teams in the league, and missed an opportunity to get to 3-0 and keep pace with only two other teams in the league.
