Accountability is now a love language 👊🏻 It's really normal for a hurt person to guard their hearts frantically but there will always be a limit to how much we see the world cynically. Not everyone is a threat. Not everyone can carry our burdens with us. Most of all, not everyone can understand your pain better than you. My insecurity was a product of bullying and I'm still struggling to see past the selfish lies they made about me. There really is a lot at stake when people choose to be unkind but it would unfair if we keep living in the shadows of the choice they made.I hope this episode gives you the strength to listen to the people who love you and sees you as you. The biggest mystery that I have still yet to understand is why people hurt people who love. There's so much to unpack when feelings of betrayal are infused with our perception of kindness but I guess this is how we learn how to guard our hearts more. I condemn cheaters. I condemn homewreckers. Nonetheless, I pray that anyone who was put under their spell still find it in their hearts to love again.
The hardest thing I have to learn is how to let go of things I can't control... and that's pretty much a lot of things. My healing hasn't always been linear and there are times when my space is a reflection of how messy my head is but we're okay. I've done it to one person MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY for 3 years and I, with my whole heart, don't recommend it (HAHAHA) Love is meant to liberate us from our fears and anxieties and having to subject ourselves so low for one person is really not worth it. You owe it to yourself to be loved without having to make yourself small. That person, the one you claim you love, should not make you feel the way you do if you can relate to this. WAHHH#atetips
There are a lot of bitter pills to swallow as you enter your adulthood but seeing your parents slow down as you speed through your life is one that got me the most. I lived my life with my parents guiding my every step so having them let me go LIVE is really something else...
