Description

Forged Into Man is a raw, masculine, faith-centered podcast hosted by David Adam Kurz, filmed in person in Miami, Florida.

This show isn't about titles or achievements — it's about the journey.

The fire.
The failures.
The faith that shaped the man.

Each episode reveals the moments God used to strengthen, refine, and define men from all walks of life — veterans, entrepreneurs, athletes, executives, creators, and leaders.

This podcast gives men a space to speak their truth, find purpose in their pain, and pass wisdom to others walking through their own fire.

Motto + Mission:
The fire doesn't destroy the man — it defines him.
Forged by pain | Tempered by faith | Built for purpose

What happens when you achieve the "perfect life"… and still feel trapped? In this powerful episode of Forged Into Man, Alex Montalenti shares the near-fatal car accident that became his wake-up call. Exhausted at a red light, he closed his eyes for a second — and seconds later found himself crashing through a brick wall and landing in a cemetery. That moment forced him to confront a hard truth. He had the mansion on Long Island. The pool. The jacuzzi. The 30-year mortgage. The image of success. But instead of fulfillment, he felt imprisoned. In this raw and honest conversation, Alex opens up about: • Why the traditional blueprint of success left him empty • His evolving definition of manhood — and why presence matters more than influence • Why faith is not belief, but daily practice • The Core Values he lives by today: GRACE (Gratitude, Results, Acknowledgement, Celebration, Excellence) • The friend who saw the leader in him before he could see it in himself This episode is about redefining success, reclaiming faith, and having the courage to build a life that actually aligns with who you are. If you've ever questioned the path you're on… this conversation will hit home. 🎧 Listen to the full episode now. Follow the podcast so you never miss an episode. In this first episode of Forged Into Man, host David Adam Kurz sits down with William Ledesma, a bold entrepreneur, family advocate, and real estate leader, to explore a life forged in resilience. Born in White Plains, New York, but raised on the streets of Cali, Colombia, William navigated two cultures, overcoming early challenges with language, learning difficulties, and a harsh environment. After losing everything in 2008, he rebuilt his life from the ground up, rising to the top of multiple industries and helping others do the same. In this episode, William shares lessons on hustle, accountability, leadership, and building real estate with confidence and purpose, while reflecting on family, personal growth, and redefining masculinity. If you're ready to embrace challenge, grow through adversity, and redefine what it means to be a man, this conversation is a must-listen.
David Kadun was a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer by age 23. By 34, PTSD had brought him to his knees. In this raw and unfiltered interview on Forged Into Man, David shares the full story of how a quiet childhood in a small Canadian farm town shaped his grit, discipline, and sense of responsibility—and how that same mindset led him into a career that would ultimately cost him everything he thought defined him. As an RCMP traffic analyst, David spent years immersed in the aftermath of violent crashes—documenting death, reliving scenes frame by frame, and standing in court beside grieving parents while offenders walked free. What he was never taught was how to process the weight of it all. In November 2013, the dam broke. David collapsed in his own home, shaking and crying, his mind and body finally giving out. What followed were some of the darkest days of his life: heavy medication, memory loss, isolation from fellow officers, and suicidal thoughts. He credits his wife, his two young daughters, and his ingrained training to "fight until you die" for keeping him alive. Losing his badge—especially after his father had proudly idolized him for wearing it—cut deeper than anything else. But that loss also forced David to confront a question many men never stop to ask: Who am I without the title? This interview explores: Growing up isolated and learning independence early The psychological toll of repeated exposure to death and trauma The culture of silence around PTSD in law enforcement Hitting rock bottom and surviving it Rebuilding identity, purpose, and confidence after losing the badge Today, David is a husband, father, and businessman who openly speaks about PTSD, masculinity, and healing. He's building a new life in real estate—not because he has to, but because purpose still matters. This is not a story about quitting. It's a story about becoming forged through loss. 👉 Listen to the full interview and hear the story in David's own words.
In this episode of Forged Into Man, we sit down with comedian Mark Viera for a raw and deeply human conversation about pain, purpose, and survival. Raised in the Bronx by his grandparents, Mark grew up navigating father wounds, loss, and instability at an early age. His father—a Vietnam Army Ranger—returned home broken by war. His mother struggled to hold life together. And comedy became more than laughter—it became armor. Mark opens up about the devastating loss of his son, a grief that shattered his identity and challenged his faith. He reflects on forgiveness, masculinity, and the long road to becoming a comedian—from walking away from an early opportunity at the Apollo Theater to grinding for years with no guarantees. This is not an episode about fame. It's about resilience. It's about becoming who you are when life burns the ground beneath your feet. 🎙️ Listen now and witness how pain can forge purpose.
