In 2006, Bryan Pata – a football star at the  University of Miami – was shot and killed outside his apartment. The death of a high-profile player from a major college football program was big news, but it didn’t lead to an arrest.  But more than a decade later, the case found its way to a team of ESPN reporters.  What they found was an exasperated family desperate for answers, a murder investigation that appeared to be cold (even though the police said it wasn’t), a legendary football program with a wild reputation in a tailspin, and a side to Bryan he didn’t want people to know about. I really enjoyed how you captured the tension and intrigue in *Murder at The U*—your summary made the mystery feel gripping without giving too much away. I liked that you highlighted both the plot twists and the character dynamics, which makes it clear why readers get hooked from start to finish. It reminded me a bit of *Nimipäivä tänään*, where paying attention to small clues and details can make the experience of reading much richer and more immersive. Which character or twist did you find the most surprising in the story? https://nimipaivatanaann.fi/

In 1996, football player Marlin Barnes was also murdered at UM (by his ex). I remember it being the biggest thing to rock the U at the time. I never had classes with any players (they're notoriously not the smartest students on campus, & I was an honors student), but I certainly smoked a lot of pot with Warren Sapp. Go 'Canes!
