Each episode features candid interviews with women who have experienced breech birth firsthand, whether at home, in the hospital, planned or unexpected. While many stories are empowering and transformative, some also speak to the grief, challenges, or trauma that can accompany breech presentation. Through honest storytelling, this podcast challenges the fear-based narrative surrounding breech birth and explores what it means to reclaim autonomy, intuition, and trust in the birthing process. Henna shares her experience transferring between hospitals after discovering she had a breech baby. Henna chose to have a breech vaginal birth and received an episiotomy without consent at the birth due to a dropped foot and cord prolapse. Henna found out shortly after the birth that her baby's toe had been accidentally amputated during the episiotomy. Faith shares her incredible story of determination and strength that was required to achieve her vaginal birth in a hospital setting. Gemma shares her three breech birth stories and a snapshot of her head down baby's birth. Gemma has birthed one of her breech babies vaginally in the hospital, one via caesarean and then chose a freebirth for her last baby who was also breech. Gemma shares the intense experience she had with her first being a surprise breech in labour and receiving an episiotomy without consent. Tamara shares her experience in having planned homebirths and with her last baby being a surprise breech her midwife required phone support from a doctor and manoeuvres were required. Unfortunately, Tamara's baby's arm was broken during a manoeuvre but Tamara shares the healing process was quick and additionally her baby required a stay in ICU due to concerns of lack of oxygen supply during the birth. Jade shares her experience opting for MGP care and later transferring to the local breech clinic. Jade had a successful ECV but shortly after baby turned back to her breech position. Jade accepted an induction at 40.5wks due to baby's size and at 8cm requested an epidural. Shortly after the epidural baby's heart rate became abnormal and Jade made the decision to have a caesarean.
