Something a little different this time, here's a run replay of one of my own races. I've been planning to go to Watford and run one of their summer track events for a few years now, so here it is - my debut at the Watford Wednesdays.
We're back, and just in time for Berlin Marathon! This guest has been a friend of the show since joining Queen's Park Harriers, having run a lot of Manchester Marathon with Matt and Sam after the first series. He's gone from strength to strength, smashing his PBs and setting course records all over the place, including the holy grail – Gladstone Park parkrun!
A truly inspirational and energising episode that can't be summed up in words - just listen!
It's quite fitting that the final episode is number 26 and it's all about the marathon. The London Marathon! What an event... the cheering seemed crazier than ever, the rain made it almost cinematic, but stop reading these words and listen to us waffle on about it. Thanks for listening to another series, hope to see you again!
Is that a twinge in my calf... Have I run enough recently... Which shoes are THE shoes...? It's that time again and the MARANOIA is real!!
This week we speak to Georgia about her recent trip to Japan for a very interesting marathon event. We talk some absolute sh#t on this show but this marathon recount is one of the best, inspiringly honest tales we've had to date.
All the usuals, plus we welcome Jen Armson and speak about her running and why she loves it. Neil and Sam recap their Battersea 5km and we all deliberate over another Neil or Real...
Ever wondered how you can run for England? Or how to structure your training? Maybe, which vessel is best for drinking beer...? Well, you my friend, are in luck! Just plug in and listen, and let the answers come to you!
This week we have a special guest stepping in while Matt's away. He's an adidas run captain, self-proclaimed Beer Mile Champion and all-round-great-guy - it's Ayo Dada! We chat about his running so far, the EPIC race he has coming up, as well as all the usuals.
This week, we bring you race reports from Neil and Sam at the Brighton Half. Was the wind slime green? Was the Hilltop honey any good? All will be revealed, along with the Neil or Real, a question that includes a LOT of beers.
We are back! After a week off to welcome Indy George Sutherland into the world, we return to your ears with a double running update. We also discuss training plans, spotting niggly injuries and running marathons barefoot.
Matt runs up some Yorkshire hills, Neil flies around the track and Sam runs another parkrun! Have you ever had people stare at you like you're a looney for running up a hill, only to turn around and jog back down it? If so, then you may enjoy this rEp 🍊
Packed full of tangents – perfect for your long run... or getting off to sleep. Marathon training is in full swing, as is Neil or Real, so enjoy another instalment of RPCR.
What links the Fred Hughes 10 mile race, Buxton water bottles and London Marathon...? Sam and Matt aren't sure either, but Neil will tell us all about it! Plus another conversation-proving Matty's Marginal Gains and all the usual tosh.
Bevs, bullseyes and whole load of incredibly articulate, thought-provoking conversation - we're back for week 2 🍊
The looong awaited return of the UK's Top Running Podcast from NW London! After months of silence and countless requests for more we are back, and each running a spring marathon. There's the usual ramblings, plus a couple of new features – enjoy!
This week, we speak to the legend that is Bill O'Connor who has run every single London Marathon to date. He's one of only 7 remaining 'Ever-Presents' and talks us through his tales of running from the 70's to today. We try to stay on topic, but naturally veer all over the place, so this one is best listened to on a long run, lengthly commute or broken up over a few listens - enjoy!
We're back, and instead of facts Matt is running track. 25 laps to be precise. With a sub 32 mins PB for 10k, he qualified for the illustrious Night of the 10,000m PBs at the Highgate Harriers track at Parliament Hill, London. We unpack his training since Manchester, as well as discuss what Neil and Sam have been up to.
So, you've just had a baby but you also have a London Marathon Good-For-Age place... DILEMMA!! Do you... a) give it up, it's only a marathon, with a medal, that you've earned through a solo brilliant run around the Lincolnshire countryside b) give the training a go, being sensible but hopeful, that your body remembers the 26.2 Have a listen to find out...
After a tough one at the previous UTS 100 miler, Matt returned knowing a bit more about what was in store for him. Well, as much as you can do when tackling 100 miles across bog, darkness and mountains...
