And of course, we wrap up with Sani-Petty. In this new series from Lovett or Leave It, Rachel Lindsay joins Jon Lovett to talk about what it’s like to go from being a lawyer, to Bachelor contestant, to the first Black woman to be the Bachelorette. Can you actually find love on these shows? Can you ever trust that it’s real? And what role to do fireball shots play in the process? Plus Rachel reflects on the moment she realized producers were preparing her to lead the franchise, even as they seemed to be worried about racial stereotypes in how she might be perceived by the audience. She talks about the perfect storm that led to Chris Harrison’s fateful interview on Extra which ultimately led to his ouster from the Bachelor world entirely. And Lovett does ask about the fantasy suites, but from a place of concern and confusion, mostly. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. The 2024 election closed the book on the old way of thinking about political geography. Famously blue areas moved right. So did famously red ones. Janelle Bynum (D–OR), Anderson Clayton, chair of the North Carolina Democratic Party, and Ben Wikler, former chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party to talk about how we can fight our way back to power everywhere on the map.For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. Utahn here. Erin is correct about Utah being a corniness factory 😆
Brilliant. best show ever. you women scare me. And that's a good thing. keep it up. I feel sorry for your husbands.
this is a goof right? please...
Shirley MacLaine for President!
something significant is going to happen in February!
who and why is the astrology nutbar?
Hearing someone on the production team burst out laughing in the background after Erin said, "But number go up, Alyssa," is my absolute favorite thing. It's usually Caroline, but today was a new laugh and I'm here for it.
Have to unsubscribe when you commented you voted for Trump
omg! women are so screwed!
It’s unintentionally amusing listening to these highly educated women—so informed that they struggle to relate to people without their level of education (as noted in a previous episode)—yet they can’t grasp why JD Vance would want his country to maintain a replacement fertility rate. The idea that he might simply want a sustainable population to support future generations and the country’s stability? Unthinkable. No, it must be because he’s just incredibly creepy! Yes, ladies, spot on.
brilliant! bring back home ec!
In addition to being gaslit, I think y'all been downright robbed. Investigate ES&S voting machines!
These 2 are so insightful, current and wonderful. love their takes on all political views. Then Erin talks about her pregnancies or babies - DUN, DUN. She tries SO HARD to talk about women issues - but it's obvious, only Uterus is important. How does Alyssa even agree to this anymore?
two things: 1. Anna Thomas is great!! 2. When Sam Bee said, "I'll dip a candle," I literally burst out laughing.
I absolutely love 'Hysteria'! The blend of sharp wit, insightful commentary, and engaging discussions makes it a must-listen every week. The hosts tackle current issues with such authenticity and humor that it feels like you're having a conversation with friends who really get it. https://www.spreaker.com/episode/the-story-behind-thank-you-bags--60813264
Hi, This is WHY NC Governor Cooper took himself out of the running for VP. Our Lt. Gov is Mark Robinson, a radical Christian conservative and our Gov is reluctant to be gone for long periods of time out of fear of what Robinson would do. He believes abortion is "child sacrifice," thinks men should run the church, calls women "witches," and refers to LGBTQ ppl as "filth" and "maggots." He was single until he ran for Gov and then suddenly got married. NCers don't trust him! He's certifiable, IMHO!
Gonna need out to my local bookstore and grab Dr. Tang's book now. I really love when ya'll have Gynecologists on the show.
Oh noooo! Not Sam's last episode! 😫 I was literally just thinking about how much I love Alyssa and Sam's chemistry on the pod. I could listen to them shoot the breeze all day.
"Rich people licking each others' taints" is getting me through today, thank you!
What is up with this episode? I hope there was a restful holiday afterwards.
