We are masked up and back in studio with special guest Tom Garth. This is a long one but it’s worth it. We just kind of sat back and let Tom go. Hear tales of: -His many jobs besides teaching/coaching. -His passionate moments with fellow coaches and players. Like trying to resist the urge to fight Matt Morrison. -Lots of football talk.-The internal debate of how best to use Matt Patterson. -The honor and joy of coaching Pat Clifton in wrestling. -The Mount Rushmore of O’Hara wrestling. -Corporal punishment at O’Hara back in the day -The Adventures of Carlos Torres. -The saga of getting Tony Valencia to O’Hara. -The Chip Sherman impression you never knew you always wanted. -The most dramatic state title win possibly in O’Hara history. -His side of the infamous American Flag wrestling singlet. -Our first news “scoop.”-The time Chadd Peter tried to quit wrestling. -The legacy of the Christian Brothers. -His invention of a demerit card barter system. -The awesomeness that is Lindsay (Crass) Norris. Hope you enjoy!
Come test your O'Hara trivia knowledge against our contestants and their O'Hara lifelines. Keep score at home and see if you could be the ultimate champion of useless O'Hara knowledge. One technical issue to mention. I'm not sophisticated enough with Zoom to know how to keep the game board on the screen and everyone's faces on screen. So you will only see 6 people at a time and those 6 people change throughout the episode. But you'll still hear everyone.Hope you enjoy!
Some levity during the dark days of COVID.Well, it's a podcast. Is it entertaining or worth watching? Who can say? But hey, you gotta be done with Tiger King by now so give it a shot.Yes it's our first ever video podcast. Recorded over zoom. Join the boys from quarantine...sort of. Hear tales of both being essential and working from home. We ponder a few O'Hara related quarantine questions. Play a little show and tell. And quickly come to realize what zoom bombing is and that we should have listened to Joe from the beginning. Yeah, it was that bad. So bad we had to edit it out but we left our reactions in which is hopefully worth it. Enjoy!Note: We will get an audio only version out in the next day or so if that's more your style.
Former Jack of All Trades at O'Hara, John O'Connor joins the guys in studio to discuss his O'Hara journey, the odd (and we do mean odd) jobs he either had or wanted to have in his life outside of education, and what he's up to these days. Hope you enjoy.
Director Brian Rose joins the boys in studio to discuss his documentary film When I Last Saw Jesse. The film chronicles the 2006 disappearance of Jesse Ross (OHS class of 2005). Jesse went to a Chicago convention as part of UMKC's Model U.N. team, walked out of a conference room early one morning, and has not been seen since. Brian breaks it all down for us and was a pleasure to speak with. We hope you enjoy.
Now that Andrew is back from his World Cup trip we are headed back to the recording studio on Saturday. The BRAND NEW recording studio in Patrick’s house! Tales of its glory to come, I’m sure. This time we will be joined by real life super hero Lindsay Norris. We will get into our usual O’Hara talk but if you’ve followed Lindsay the last few years you know she has quite the story to tell.
Episode 6: Matt Morrison

Episode 6: Matt Morrison

2026-01-3101:13:08

We are back from hiatus and joined by OHS class of 1999 and Hall of Fame tight end Matt Morrison. Hear tales of Matt's football career. His knowledge of the whereabouts of the center logo from the old basketball court that was cut out during a senior prank. And as always, his Give Me Five answers.Hear also tales of which bathrooms were best. Locations of pay-phones. Cars that were moved against their owner's will. Wrecking Brother Doug's car. Getting your hands dirty folding newspapers and whether or not that was actually a service to the community or an illegal sweat shop. The thought process of hiring Professor Johnson. Was the generator powered by gas, diesel, or Brother Doug pedaling on a stationary bike? Should we have a tag football game/BBQ at O'Hara this fall? All this and more can be heard right here. Hope you enjoy.
We are back and joined by 30 year O'Hara teacher and coach George Peter and his son (fellow alum and Coach) Chadd Peter. Hear about Chadd's recent run in with 2 *a'hem* "tricksters," in Vegas. George's life before O'Hara as a Christian Brother. Great moments and players in O'Hara baseball history. And finish it off with Chadd's story of going out in a blaze of glory as an O'Hara coach. You won't want to miss it. Thanks for listening, hope you enjoy!
We're back and joined by the 39 year O'Hara football (and basketball!) coach Jim DeMarea along with his nephew and fellow O'Hara alum, Brian DeMarea. Hear all about Jim's early days working with Paul Monteil and great moments in O'Hara football history. As well as Brian's impersonation that got him booted as a starter and his one and only diagnosed concussion. And sing along not once but twice to the O'Hara fight song. We may not be good at this but we're having fun.
In this episode we chat with former 30+ year teacher/Dean of Students/Vice Principal, Ann Wright. We learned a lot about Ann's beginnings in education, her favorite O'Hara moments, the ultimate demise of the school, and she participates in what we can only imagine is the final "Searching for Shelton," segment.
