Walnut Street Church of Christ Dickson, TN

One of Walnut Street's shepherds, J.T. Gillson, elaborates on our mission statement--to live is Christ. How do we live out this mission as a church member and a church family?

We all bring something different to the table, and whatever gift we bring it’s all for the same purpose. The gifts may be different, but the purpose is the same. Variety of gifts. One Spirit. One purpose.

Chris continues his Sunday evening sermon series focusing on some of the most misused and abused passages of scripture. The verse being highlighted in this particular message is 2 Corinthians 5:10. There is much confusion surrounding the judgment and the Day of the Lord. What does 2 Corinthians have to say about it, if anything.

Unity is not uniformity. It’s not everyone being the same. It can’t be. If we were all the same, we couldn’t accomplish the goal. Uniformity will kill the team. We don’t all have to be the same, but we do all have to be on the same page. Unity is not sameness of persons. It’s oneness of purpose.

Chris Hedge discusses what he would want everyone to know if he had only one shot to preach God's word.
