What a week! The chalet is officially crowded as we finally welcome a proper guest into the mix. And not just any guest—we’ve got actual Olympic royalty in the building.
Fresh from her historic gold in Milano-Cortina 2026, Charlotte Bankes joins Tim, Jenny, and Ollie to talk wax, wins, and why the British team might just have the edge over the French when it comes to athlete support.
Paralympic Heroes: We recap an emotional week on the boardercross course. We talk about the legend that is Davie Gieve, who defied a motor neurone disease diagnosis to compete seven years later, and Ollie Hill, who unfortunately sat out after a brutal crash during course testing.
Natural Selection Tour: As the tour goes live, we break down the "Sessions" format across Japan, Utah, and Revelstoke. Plus, a massive shout-out to Yuka Fujimori for taking the win in the all-women’s R&D back-country contest.
The Science of Speed: Charlotte lets us in on the world of high-stakes waxing. What exactly is "storage wax"? Does "travel wax" actually exist? And how much does a wizard like JP (her wax tech) really help when you're hunting for those fractions of a second?
Beyond the Snow: It turns out Charlotte isn't just fast on a board; she’s a demon on the water too. We dive into her love for sailing Musto Skiffs and single-handed 29ers.
Tim’s "Snip" Story: We wrap things up with a classic Tim Warwood tale involving a vasectomy, the Commonwealth Games, and a nurse who definitely recognized him from the telly.
Links and other bits
Natural Selection Tour: Catch the live action and replays on their YouTube Channel or official website.
Spring Battle Flachau: Tim is heading out to Flachau next week for Spring Battle. Check out the event details at absolute-park.com.

It’s just Tim and Ollie in the hot seat this week as Jenny takes a well-earned break from the BBC. Things get a bit "lads-lads-lads" as the boys dive into Paralympic prep, billionaire-slapping fantasies, and the eye-watering cost of airplane "duct tape".
From Kaishu Hirano’s gravity-defying 25ft half-pipe air to the mystery of why Tui makes it so hard to book a board bag, this episode is packed tighter than a suitcase on a budget airline.
The Paralympic Deep Dive: Tim is heading to Cardiff to commentate on the Paralympic Snowboard Men’s Upper Limb category. He’s currently drowning in spreadsheets trying to tell his Lower Limb 1s from his Lower Limb 2s.
The Billionaire Slap-Off: If you could open-hand slap one billionaire, who would it be? The boys weigh up Elon Musk vs. Jeff Bezos, but James Dyson takes the heat for those ear-splitting hand dryers that spray your trousers.
The 25ft Club: Discussing Kaishu Hirano’s legendary jump at the LAAX Open—25 feet above the lip!. That’s literally the height of the eaves on your house.
The £6k Roll of Tape: Ever see tape on an airplane wing and panic? It’s actually "Speed Tape," and it costs a staggering £6,805 per roll.
Tui Troubles & Listener Tips: Ollie is off to Austria for Spring Battle, but booking his board bag on a Tui flight has been a nightmare. The consensus from the listeners? "Just ring them up".
Scotland’s Shifting Snow: Shout out to the scene in the Cairngorms and the upcoming sessions with Jamie Nicholls and Ben Kilner.
Email the Show: theaprespod@gmail.com
The Après Instagram: Follow for the "viral" Tui rants and more.
Swiss Air: Mentioned for their free board bag policy—and no, the "APRE" promo code for free champagne probably won't work, but it’s worth a shot.
Tui: For those brave enough to try and book sports equipment online.

In this episode, the gang (mostly) gets back together—if we can keep Jenny's laptop from dying! We dive deep into the high-stakes world of childhood hoarding, celebrity Instagram follows, and what it’s like to look at Earth from the dark side of the moon.
Highlights include:
The Sticker Heist: Tim shares his "banging" snowboard sticker collection and the tragic moment his partner, Lucy, replaced his stickers with pastry supplies.
Nostalgia Trip: Remembering the glory days of sending stamped addressed envelopes to skate shops just to get a few fresh decals.
The Big Reveal: Tim has officially completed life. Find out which legendary British astronaut just gave him a follow on the 'gram (Hint: It’s Tim Peake).
Paralympic Preview: We shout out the incredible athletes heading to the Paralympics next weekend, including Nina Sparks, Matt Hamilton, and Davey—the first person with MND to compete in the games.
The Ultimate Space Playlist: If you were drifting behind the moon with no contact with Earth, would you listen to Tool, Hans Zimmer, or David Bowie?.
The Bombardino: A listener question takes us to the slopes of Italy to discuss this legendary egg-custard-and-brandy concoction.

Tim and Jenny are live (and surprisingly still alive) from the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy! While Ollie is back home navigating the treacherous waters of "nursery dad nights" and Cornish rain, the duo in the Alps are dodging avalanches and accidental fame. This episode is a deep dive into the high-octane world of Olympic snowboarding and skiing, featuring everything from heartbreaking near-misses to historic British gold.
PSA: Stay Safe! 🏔️ A serious note on the gnarly Alpine conditions—90 avalanche deaths this season is no joke. Tim and Jenny give the "stay alive" talk before the fun starts.
The BBC "Blackout" explained: Ever wonder why you missed Mia Brooks' qualifying run? Tim breaks down the BBC’s "two-stream" dilemma and the agony of watching Mia’s fall live while pretending to be professional on camera.
Kirsty Muir is a Boss: Two 4th place finishes might be the "worst" result, but Kirsty skied her socks off. We talk about her incredible comeback from surgery and why she’s the "skier's skier".
GOLD FOR TEAM GB! 🥇 The absolute highlight: Hugh Nightingale and Charlotte Banks crushing the Mixed Team Boarder Cross. Jenny shares the behind-the-scenes "well of doom" interview and the epic redemption arc after their singles disappointment.
Hair Braiding & "Commentary Juice": Tim reveals his secret talent for blow-drying hair that’s destroying his wife’s confidence, and the team introduces their post-work beverage of choice (Don't tell the bosses!).
Tim’s New Followers: 15,000+ and counting. Is he the new Ben Shepherd? Probably.
Bum Bruises: 1 (Poor Timmy’s tailbone vs. a poma lift).
Commentary Juice: Strictly consumed after the P45-risk hours.
Coming Up Next: The Halfpipe finals are under the lights on Saturday! Get your "telly boxes" ready for Zoe Atkin. We’ll be back once the team crawls home on their hands and knees from the closing celebrations.

Mia and Kirsty Muir may have missed out on medals with their fourth-place finishes on "Mental Medal Monday," but the level of riding was nothing short of legendary. This episode of The Apres dives into the high-stakes pressure of the Olympic finals, from the "broken flow" of a course plagued by poorly placed tunnels to Mia Brookes’ death-defying decision to huck a 1620 when she was "bricking it" at the top of the run. We break down the technicality of the Big Air finals, the historic rise of Japanese snowboarding, and why even the world's best qualifiers sometimes struggle to convert that top spot into gold.
Beyond the slopes, we’re catching up on the "rowdy" atmosphere in Livigno as the British fans take over the high street. Jenny shares her awkward run-in with snowboard cross royalty, and we answer your burning questions—including the truth about Olympic twins and whether those annoying camera drones are actually flown by robots. Whether you're here for the "steeze," the stats, or just to hear about Scotty James’ love for Love Actually, grab a drink and join the conversation.

The Winter Olympics have officially taken over the mountains, and Tim Warwood is reporting live from Lavigno. While Ollie Peart deals with the rain back home, Tim is navigating 1,800 meters of altitude, dry nostrils, and the "lawless" vibe of a town that feels like the Wild West of winter sports.
In this episode, we go behind the scenes of what might be the most compact and chaotic Olympic venue ever built. From "medium-sized" Big Air jumps to the dietary habits of the BBC commentary team, this is the side of the Olympics the mainstream cameras don't show you.
The Venue Layout: Why building an Olympic arena in a disused car park might actually be a stroke of genius.
"Medium Air": Tim discusses why the jumps are 19 meters instead of the usual monsters and what that means for the riders.
The Olympic Bubble: Living with Ed Leigh and Jenny Jones, self-catering on the license payer's dime, and the mystery of "activated nuts."
The NBC "Enemy": Sizing up the American commentary competition (Todd Richards, we're looking at you).
Mia Brooks’ Baggy Pants: The story of the one-eyed seamstress from Cheshire who saved Team GB’s style.
Listener Correspondence: A brutal update on Liam’s jaw-shattering crash and the status of the legendary "Apres Pod" tattoo.
"It feels like you’re back in the prospecting days where you can go and stake a claim and the police can't catch you... I am pig in shit mate. I am loving it." — Tim Warwood

We are back! After a chaotic start involving a failed intro about a burger and a vitamin water (don’t ask, just listen), we dive straight into a massive couple of weeks for snow sports.
Jenny gives us the courtside lowdown from the LAAX Open—arguably the greatest halfpipe competition of all time—including the moment she had to perform light medical duty on Yuto Totsuka’s broken nose. Tim gets starstruck interviewing Scotty James after binge-watching Pipe Dreams, and we discuss his historic run.

But the real story? The Girls. We are breaking down the historic British female dominance at the X Games. Mia Brooks and Kirsty Muir are taking over the world, while we ask the important question: Where have all the men gone?
Plus, we look ahead to the Olympics (Tim and Jenny are packing their bags!), solve a listener's crisis in a French hospital, and drop the ultimate money-saving hack for anyone flying into Geneva.
🎙️ Key Moments in This Episode:
00:00 - The Intro Disaster: Tim tries (and fails) to read a script about a Midlands man, a burger, and a contactless card.
The LAAX Open: Jenny’s view from the bottom of the pipe. Cam Melville Ives’ run of a lifetime and the electric atmosphere of a night final.
Medical Timeout: Jenny Jones: Olympic Medalist and makeshift nurse for Yuto’s nose bleed.
The Scotty James Factor: Tim recounts his interview with the Aussie legend and why he was surprisingly nervous.
X Games Takeover: "Who Run The World? Girls." We celebrate Mia Brooks and Kirsty Muir becoming potential household names.
The Men's Field: Are they posing in the mirror or just chilling? We look at Chambo’s "Podium or Death" mentality.
Olympic Preview: Tim & Jenny’s top picks for medals (Zoe Atkin, Mia, Kirsty, Charlotte Bankes) and the threat of Eileen Gu.
Listener Mailbag:
A torn spleen in Grenoble (and a noisy roommate).
Digging out the funicular in the Cairngorms.
Sam Plank’s Voice Note: A road trip to Livigno for the Olympics.
Travel Hacks:
WARNING: Don't try to drive into Livigno without paperwork!
The Geneva Hack: How to find the secret Migros supermarket in the airport and avoid paying £15 for a sandwich.
Shoutout: Davey, the Paralympic hopeful making history with MND.

We are live from the mountains! Jen and Jonesy are coming to you from the legendary LAAX Open in Switzerland. Ollie is conspicuously absent (we explain why, and yes, it involves us leaving him hanging), so it’s a duo mission today.
The "froth" levels are high as we discuss celebrity sightings, the insane progression in the halfpipe, and the pressure of Olympic qualification. Plus, we break down the brutal reality of the "Home Run" and why Peter Crouch was getting a ski lesson from a Team GB coach.
🎙️ Key Highlights
Where is Ollie?
Ollie isn’t here. Is he dead? No. Was he livid because Jen and Jonesy forgot to record with him twice due to a mix of work and après? Yes. An official apology is issued.
The LAAX Open Vibe
Jen gets starstruck seeing Ayumu Hirano with a towel and Scotty James (fresh off watching his Netflix doc, Pipe Dream).
Discussion on the insane wealth in snowboarding (thanks to the Stroll connection) and the current "rude health" of the Halfpipe discipline.
The Scott McMorris Incident
Old snowboard pro and "3D Printed" human Scott McMorris joins the crew for a shred.
Peer pressure from Ed Leigh leads to a disastrous attempt at a board slide on a down rail.
Result: A classic "coy whiplash" and a massive bruise on the bottom.
The Random Peter Crouch Spot
Jen bumps into football legend Peter Crouch in the queue.
He’s fast approaching "National Treasure" status but might need to switch to snowboarding because those skis looked huge.
Fun Fact: He was getting a lesson from Mia Brookes' coach!
Competition Updates & Olympic Dreams
Val Guseli: The Aussie Wonder Kid is going huge and potentially qualifying for both Pipe and Slopestyle.
Jamie Anderson: A heartfelt look at her comeback attempt. It wasn't to be this time, but maximum respect for the effort while juggling motherhood.
The Chloe Kim Situation: She’s out with a shoulder injury, meaning the showdown with Korean phenom Gaon Choi is delayed until Milan.

This week, we ask the big questions: Is Ben Shephard actually AI? Are Ed Leigh’s goggles getting bigger every year? And do we need to sell a kidney to afford tickets to the 2026 Olympics?
🎧 On The Show:
Ski Sunday Review: We give it "mid-thumbs." Ed is celebrating 20 years, but we’re mostly focused on whether his Dragon goggles are actually fish bowls.
The "Mother-Hecking" Olympics: Listener Katie writes in about living the Van Life just to afford the €200 Big Air tickets. (Sorry, Tim’s driveway is full).
Tattoo Watch: Listener Liam claims he’ll get The Aprés logo tattooed on his bum. We are officially waiting for proof.
LAAX Open: Jenny is prepping (barely) for commentary duty. Send in your questions for the athletes!

Santa's Secret: Is Father Christmas on insulin or has he switched to Wegovy to survive the night?
The Great Apres Quiz:
Jenny’s Round: Alpine cocktails and mulled wine records.
Ollie’s Round: Mountain movies, from James Bond to Cliffhanger.
Tim’s Round: A "High/Low" stat attack on lift heights and skiable miles.
Looking Ahead: Tim’s son officially asks to snowboard, and the crew preps for the LAAX Open in January.
🗣️ Quotes of the Week

Uh oh. Jenny Jones joins the pod live from a luxury chalet in Morzine, but she’s had two Cosmopolitans before hitting record and is feeling excessively merry. Tim and Ollie naturally take full advantage of the situation.
Between sips, Jenny recounts dancing to 90s tunes in Tignes and the brutal reality of being a "sherpa parent" lugging a toddler’s snowboard gear up the hill. Ollie attempts a sincere tribute to Jenny’s trailblazing X Games legacy, which Tim immediately undermines by focusing on her current state of intoxication.
Despite the chaos, the team covers a monumental week for GB Snowsport, discusses the potential comebacks of Lindsay Vonn and Jamie Anderson, provides an update on the snow in Europe and Japan, and issues a crucial warning for anyone using step-in bindings in France.

The boys are back in the cabin, but the trio is incomplete! With Jenny Jones living her best life in Tignes, Tim and Ollie are holding down the fort. Tim is sporting a questionable hairstyle that screams "early 90s rad ski dude" (complete with a winter cold sore), while Ollie is preparing for his 40th by consuming his body weight in cheese and wine.
This week, we finally get a resolution to the infamous "Jenny stole a child’s goggles" story—and the guilt trip is officially over. We also cover the latest competition news with Mia Brooks taking a massive win, check in on the snow conditions across Europe, and drop some tips for early-season trips. Plus, Tim teases his latest Ski Sunday shoot with the inimitable Sparrow Knox.
In this episode:
The Look: Tim’s Bastille-inspired hair and winter ailments.
The Hunt for Jenny: Live-calling Jenny (and getting her voicemail) while she shreds in Tignes.
Goggle Update: The mother of the 7-year-old victim reaches out! Find out how Jenny plans to make amends.
Competition Corner: Mia Brooks takes the win at the Big Air, plus updates on Kirsty Muir and the Olympic cycle mindset.
Snow View: Europe is open for business! Why you need to head to the glaciers (Tignes, Val d'Isère, Sölden) right now.
Listener Mail: How to survive snowboarding with your 70-year-old skier dad (and the legend of Spike, the lightning-struck instructor).

Winter has saved us (mostly), but Ollie is busy throwing away gas heaters and cashing in on scrap metal. This week on The Après, we settle into the podcast cabin to discuss the festive season, massive wins in the freestyle world, and the shocking price of a romantic train ride to the Scottish Highlands.
Plus, we dive into the mailbag to answer the ultimate middle-aged shredder’s question: Is buying new gear actually worth it, or is it just marketing hype? (Spoiler: Treat yourself).
In This Episode:
DIY Disasters & Scrap Metal: Ollie’s house extension continues, and he’s "tatting" copper pipes for cash.
Christmas Tree Shopping: Tim gets profiled by a Christmas tree salesman in Sutton Coldfield who turns out to be a Morzine legend.
The Snowman Trivia: Did David Bowie introduce The Snowman? We settle the debate.
Big Air News: Massive shoutout to Kirsty Muir for her Big Air win in China. We break down the confusing world of Olympic qualification points and quota spots.
Travel Goals vs. Reality: Tim dreams of the Caledonian Sleeper train to Aviemore, but the price tag for a family of five brings everyone back down to earth.
Listener Mailbag:
Rumors that Changa Bang in Avoriaz has closed down? (Say it isn't so!).
Gear Talk: Mike Bond asks if new kit benefits a "stiff, middle-aged bloke."
The Step-In Binding Debate: Are they the future for dodgy knees, or a terrifying risk?
Gear Rec: Why the Salomon Sickstick is the ultimate do-it-all board.
Links & Mentions:
Caledonian Sleeper: Check out the sleeper train to the Cairngorms (Use code Stag25 if you're quick!).

Is it cheese on meat? Or is it meat on cheese? On this week's episode of The Apres, Tim, Jenny, and Ollie attempt to solve the ultimate culinary equation while reminiscing about the best (and worst) post-shred snacks—from 3 AM window bagels in Whistler to the legendary schnitzel sarnies in Mayrhofen.
Here’s what else is going down in this chaotic episode:
The Hurt Stick: Jenny shares a terrifying childhood story about her grandmother’s "hurt stick" and why you should never run in the hallways.
Crime Watch: In a stunning confession, Jenny admits to accidentally stealing a pair of Sinner goggles from a 7-year-old girl named Iris. (Iris, if you're listening, we’re trying to return them!).
Snow News: We chat about the massive snow dumps in the Alps, the potential for a tropical waterpark at a new UK snow centre, and the Snowdome’s top-secret new airbag launch.
Reality TV: Would Jenny go on Strictly? Or is she better suited for The Traitors?
Plus, we celebrate Laurie Taylor’s incredible ski racing results and analyze some very questionable AI fan art.

Alright shredders, grab a drink and settle in! Ollie and Tim are back (minus Jenny, who is definitely not dead this time, just famous and busy... probably).
This week, the lads tackle:
* The Universal Truth: Why does your mum always tell you that you look tired? Is there a more derailing comment known to humankind?
* Influencers on Mud: Ollie kicks things off with a rant about ski influencers grinding down rocky, snowless slopes. Tim gets genuinely angry. Are they cool? (Spoiler: No). Is it like fingernails on a blackboard? (Spoiler: Yes).
* Mayrhofen Musings: Tim's been hitting the surprisingly good snow in Mayrhofen and shares tales of:
* The daredevil Penkenbahn lift – and the legendary (maybe?) story of why it has a bend in it (hint: it involves a bar).
* Developing a sudden fear of chairlifts – sweaty palms included!
* The slightly terrifying "call of the void" high above the ground.
* Need for (Sideways) Speed: Tim straps on his board, points it downhill sideways, and clocks a frankly ludicrous 40.2 mph on his heel edge. Were his legs okay? Did anyone else witness this madness?
* The Mayrhofen Birthday Curse: Is April 8th in Mayrhofen cursed for Tim's mate Gendle? Hear the tale of three birthdays, three injuries. Ouch.
* NEWS TIME!
* The Brits are BACK! A recap of the British Ski & Snowboard Champs returning to Mayrhofen after 6 years. Big up the organisers!
* Meet Riley Sharp: The 10-YEAR-OLD prodigy who swept the slope style, big air, and rail jam titles. What's his coach's secret? (Maybe lawnmowers?).
* Gutting News: Charlotte Banks' season ends early with a broken collarbone. Heal up fast, Charlotte!
* World Champs Wrap: Quick thoughts on the World Champs, Jenny's apparently quite good commentary (don't tell her we said that), and Mia Brookes' awesome season.
* MUST WATCH: Cody Bramble absolutely sent it at the Freeride World Tour final on the Bec des Rosses. Backflips in no-fall zones? Yes please. Link to watch Cody's insane run: CODY: https://www.freerideworldtour.com/news-videos/cody-bramwell-snowboard-men-winning-run-2025-yeti-xtreme-verbier-by-honda/
* Late Season Shredding: Thinking of squeezing in one last trip? The glaciers are calling, and Tim reckons the snow could be good well into May. Stay tuned for tips next week!
* URGENT PSA - APPLE PODCASTS: If you listen on Apple, PLEASE RESUBSCRIBE! Ollie did something clever (or possibly disastrous) and all our lovely reviews got deleted. Leave us a new one! Pretty please?

Wow now, what’s this. Not one guest but TWO! Sure, one of them introduced themselves in a questionable way, but let’s gloss over that. You’ll be treated in this episode to the untameable energy of British ski legend and friend of the show, Chemmy Alcott and why she’s more than irritated at a price hike to watch skiing on TV.
You’ll also hear from Tom Arthur, a groomer (piste basher driver) based out in Whistler Blackcomb. Tom reached out to us to “set the record straight” because we may or may not have said something about groomers. He did more than set the record straight though, as you’ll hear.
