Maxceleration Racing is a snowmobile performance parts dealer and drag racing team based in Calgary, Alberta. It is owned and operated by Mike LaValley, who is in his third decade of competitive racing. Over the years, we have won championships on snow, ice and grass, having raced and won in every province in Western Canada. In the past, Maxceleration Racing have competed in almost every class in the sport from vintage to King of the Snow (now called Outlaw). While the team has always been competitive, results improved dramatically when we began to design our own engine modifications. All engine porting and head design on our two stroke sleds was executed by Maxceleration Racing with the assistance of several engine and pipe design computer software programs. While we have moved away from 2-stroke engine work, we now offer performance parts for for snowmobiles and are an official dealer for Hurricane Performance parts and accessories. Currently our racing focus is on our turbo-charged Yamaha Sidewinders and Arctic Cat King Cat. Taylor Gidney — better known online as @mama_gids — has been riding sleds for nearly her entire life. She grew up snowmobiling in Ontario, first riding “squirrel” with her dad when her hands were barely big enough to hold the gas cap of an old Polaris Indy. Levi started riding snowmobiles at the young age of eight and from the start, he was hooked and wanted to give racing a try. After placing 2nd in his first snowmobile race, Levi has continued to succeed in racing and worked his way up to the Pro Class in 2003. With the desire to win and the need for speed, after multiple snocross podiums and wins, Levi had the opportunity to try snowmobile freestyle. With the tricks coming naturally, Levi was able to win his first freestyle competition he entered (with only a month of practice) and was awarded an invite to compete in Freestyle, Speed & Style and Snocross in the 2008 Winter X Games (the most disciplines any snowmobile athlete had ever competed in). Since then, Levi has continued to compete in all Snowmobile disciplines in the Winter X Games. He has earned himself a total of 13 Winter X Games medals (7 of which are gold), a snocross Championship Title, the first athlete to attempt a double backflip on a snowmobile and holds the current world record for longest snowmobile distance jump of 412ft (2011 Red Bull: New Year. No Limits. live on ESPN). If being a racer and a freestyle rider wasn’t enough, Levi embarked upon a new opportunity of Team Owner, Team LaVallee in 2009. The future? Brady Slade and Brad Leaman are Team Sno Ghosts 82 in the TOUGHEST Snowmobile Race in the World - Cains Quest.  Cain’s Quest Snowmobile Endurance Race has been described as the ultimate in extreme racing. At more than 3000km of high energy racing , this race is the longest race of its kind in the world and promises to keep race fans on the edge of their seat. Cain’s Quest is a true northern adventure that gives racers the experience of a lifetime.  Racers push body and machine to the limits in an all-out race to the finish for a shot at a hefty prize purse. Teams of two leave the start line pumped with adrenaline and an eye on the prize.  Some, with the take no prisoners attitude, may quickly learn that when the going gets tough, sportsmanship and help from a competing team is often what it takes to make it through. From ski-doo Mach Z to the skidoo 850 etec. Jamie Nichols has had them all!Jamie joins Snowmobile Sessions to bring some attention to an expedition he providing snowmobile support in Alaska starting January 27.  Jamie's buddies are dog mushers and I’ve been known to be behind a team. We are paying tribute to the serum run of 1925 to save the children of Nome. Jamie rides a 24 expedition, SE 900 Turbo R. He also just bought a 21 Scandic 900 ace. Jamie and his friend jeff will be pulling supplies along the route and breaking Trail ahead of the dog teams. It’s going to be a test of those two sleds. At more than 3000km of high energy racing , this race is the longest race of its kind in the world and promises to keep race fans on the edge of their seat. Cain’s Quest is a true northern adventure that gives racers the experience of a lifetime.  Racers push body and machine to the limits in an all-out race to the finish for a shot at a hefty prize purse. Teams of two leave the start line pumped with adrenaline and an eye on the prize.  Some, with the take no prisoners attitude, may quickly learn that when the going gets tough, sportsmanship and help from a competing team is often what it takes to make it through. The race runs day and night guided by GPS and gut instinct to get teams from checkpoint to checkpoint.
