Hey friends, welcome back to Her Purpose, a podcast for women in real estate seeking alignment with God and their work. Here's a question for you: Is chaos blocking your purpose? Sometimes we pray for more opportunities, more clients, and bigger doors to open—but we may be overlooking the areas of our lives and businesses that need order first. In 1 Corinthians 14:33, the Bible reminds us that God is not a God of disorder, but of peace. And in Luke 16:10, it says that whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much. That challenges us to ask: Are we ready for the growth we're praying for? If more clients came into your business today, would your systems support that growth, or would it create chaos? Throughout the Bible, we see that God establishes order before expansion. In the beginning, He formed the earth before filling it, bringing structure before growth. We also see this pattern in Proverbs 24:3–4: "By wisdom a house is built, through understanding it is established, and through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." First it is built, then established, and then it is filled. The same can apply to our lives and businesses. Before asking for more, we should ask God to show us what needs to be organized or strengthened first. And 1 Corinthians 14:40 reminds us: "But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way." So the encouragement today is simple: Ask God which area of your life or business needs order first—and start there. One step at a time. A key theme throughout the episode is the idea that everything should have a designated place. When items have a clear home, maintaining order becomes quicker and more manageable. Simple daily routines can then help keep spaces tidy with minimal effort. Stephanie shares a transparent and faith-rooted conversation about a topic rarely discussed in leadership spaces — grief in business. Drawing from personal experience, she unpacks what it looks like to lose roles, titles, identity, vision, or relationships while still showing up outwardly strong and successful. Through both vulnerability and wisdom, Stephanie reminds leaders that identity must be rooted in Christ — not in output, titles, or achievement — and that unprocessed grief can quietly shape decision-making and leadership.     📝 Episode Summary We talk about profit. We talk about productivity. But we don't talk about grief. In this episode, Stephanie explores how grief shows up in business beyond physical death — through losing a company, stepping out of a role, experiencing financial hardship, walking through betrayal, or letting go of a dream. She shares how seasons of transition exposed places where her identity was tied to what she did rather than who she is in Christ. With honesty, she discusses what it means to live open-handed — giving your all in a season while remaining willing to release it when God says it's time. This episode invites leaders to identify hidden grief, process it with the Lord, and recognize how it may be influencing their leadership.     🔑 Key Takeaways Grief in business is real — even if it's rarely acknowledged. You can be grieving and still look successful on the outside. Loss of identity, relationships, and vision are common leadership grief points. Unprocessed grief can lead to decision fatigue, emotional reactivity, avoidance, or impulsive pivots. Your identity must be rooted in Christ — not in your role, title, or productivity. Living open-handed allows you to lead with obedience rather than fear.     📚 What You'll Learn How to recognize grief that may be hiding beneath burnout or frustration The three primary areas where business grief shows up How identity attachment affects leadership clarity Why strong leaders often delay healing Reflection questions to help you process transitions with God How grief can quietly influence your leadership and decision-making     💭 Final Thought Grief in business doesn't mean you're weak. It means you cared. If a role change, vision shift, or season ending feels heavier than it "should," don't dismiss it. Sit with the Lord. Ask Him what's happening beneath the surface. Healing begins when grief is named. In the next episode, we'll walk through practical ways to navigate this season so grief doesn't become the silent driver behind your leadership. 🎙️ Listen & Subscribe to the Her Purpose Podcast Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you listen ⭐ If this episode speaks to you, leave a review — it helps more women find this space 📲 Share this episode with a woman who needs encouragement or alignment today Connect with Stephanie & Her Purpose 🤍 Join the Her Purpose Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/759665260000019 📸 Follow Stephanie on Instagram @real_estate_and_nontoxic_homes 📲 Follow Stephanie on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/stephj926 🌿 Want more information on nontoxic living? Stephanie shares actionable, faith-centered strategies for leaders navigating grief in business, identity, and leadership roles. Drawing from personal experience, she provides practical steps to process grief, protect your heart, and lead with clarity.     📝 Episode Summary Grief in leadership can silently influence decisions, communication, and confidence — even when outwardly, you appear "successful." In this episode, Stephanie walks us through three practical ways to walk through grief and healing, ensuring it doesn't become the mastermind behind your leadership: Deciding who you can trust and being vulnerable with the right people. Seeking the Lord for healing and reflection. Redefining success for your current season. Through scripture, reflection prompts, and real-life examples, Stephanie guides leaders on how to honor both the grief and the responsibilities they carry.     🔑 Key Takeaways Grief in business isn't only about loss of a loved one; it can show up as losing a role, identity, vision, or dream. Vulnerability is critical, but boundaries matter — know who you can safely share with. God's Word provides a roadmap for healing and reflection (Psalm 139:23–24, Jeremiah 17:9–10). Redefining success in a season of grief allows you to acknowledge small wins and honor your limits. Healing is essential to lead effectively; unprocessed grief can quietly drive decisions and reactions.     📚 What You Will Learn How to identify grief that may be impacting your leadership decisions. Practical steps for choosing trusted people to confide in. How to seek God's guidance and allow Him to reveal areas that need healing. Ways to forgive others and yourself while processing grief. How to redefine success in your current season, celebrating small wins and practicing self-care. Tips for leading with clarity while navigating a difficult season.     💭 Final Thoughts Grief will touch every leader at some point — it doesn't make you weak, it makes you human. What matters is how you respond: lean on God, lean on trusted people, and give yourself grace. By taking intentional steps to process grief, you can protect your heart, make wise decisions, and continue leading well in every season. In this episode of the Her Purpose podcast, a show for women in real estate seeking alignment with God, family, and work, the conversation focuses on the role of organization in creating peace, clarity, and intentional living. The discussion highlights how maintaining an orderly environment can support a calmer mindset and help individuals operate with greater focus and purpose. Drawing from biblical principles that emphasize peace rather than disorder, the episode encourages listeners to view organization not just as a household task, but as a way to create space for clarity and alignment in everyday life. The episode introduces a four-step approach to organizing any space, whether it is a small drawer or a larger area: 1.     Clear it out – Remove everything from the space to start with a clean slate. This step helps reveal how much has accumulated and allows for a more intentional reset. 2.     Choose what stays – Sort items into simple categories such as trash, donate, and keep. This process helps eliminate unnecessary clutter and encourages thoughtful decision-making about what truly belongs in the space. 3.     Contain and label – Items that remain should be placed in designated containers or divided spaces. Labeling ensures that everything has a clear home and makes it easier to maintain organization over time. 4.     Put it back with purpose – As items are returned to the space, they are evaluated again to ensure they are truly necessary. This final step reinforces intentional organization and prevents clutter from returning. A key theme throughout the episode is the idea that everything should have a designated place. When items have a clear home, maintaining order becomes quicker and more manageable. Simple daily routines can then help keep spaces tidy with minimal effort.
