Both of us guessed wrong on who was setting the table — it was Valentin making coq au vin in Carly's kitchen. He's also made it for Anna, so that's his dish. The wine bottle was a prop; the Loire Valley and California Central Coast can't share a label. Carly got caught when Lucas showed up, the leftovers were allegedly thrown away, and coq au vin only gets better in the fridge.
Cullum stabbed Marco seven times, moved his phone out of reach, and turned off the lights. Alexis and Danny found him by chance — she kept pressure on the wounds, and he called 911. Marco didn't make it. Lucas was in surgery on Cullum with no idea. Liz had to tell him. She asked him to sit down. He said just tell me. Sidwell thanked Lucas for loving his son, then invited him back to Wyndemere. Grief or strategy, we're not sure.
Rocco overheard Britt and Lucas at the hospital — she's sick, Lucas got her medication, she's leaving. He followed her to the pier. Cullum had read Lucas's text and got there first, smashed the vials, and pulled a gun on Britt. Jason arrived from Danny's basketball game — he'd headbutted Dante to get out of a WSB arrest — fought Cullum, the gun fell, and Rocco shot Cullum. Nathan showed up: the police are two minutes out, what's the play. He took Rocco out. Jason woke Britt and told her to say she saw him pull the trigger. She did. Jason said nothing at the PCPD. Lulu is already asking Britt who else was there. Rocco is not holding up.
Our position on Ric and Liz hasn't changed. It's not Rick Hearst — he plays it perfectly. It's the shortcut: months of no became a kiss on the floor with no friendship in between. Liz stopped Ric from telling her the truth about the detox. When she finds out what he's doing with Sonny, he will point to that dinner. Franco set the standard. The bar exists.
Chase and Brook Lynn named the baby Phoebe, and Brook Lynn wants to keep her — abandoned infants are wards of the state, not how it works. Wiley asked the foster care social worker what a hooker is, and Olivia had used the word in the next room. Gio asked why Corinthos Coffee wasn't at the station — our tagline: when you want your coffee as dark as your storylines.

Ric and Liz are back on screen together, and before we weigh in on what that means now, we went back to where it all started. In under two years she was bitten by a snake, poisoned, run over by a car, lost her sight, and her husband held a pillow over her face and set it back down. Oh, and he kidnapped Carly and locked her in a secret panic room inside their home to steal her baby. If you forgot how much happened between these two, this episode is your refresher. Part One is up now. Listen now wherever you get podcasts or 🎙 Link in bio.

This week in Port Charles, Sonny said the word murder out loud for what felt like the first time, Jason stood on a roof in broad daylight and had to stand down when Brennan walked into the line of sight, and Cullum went to Marco's office alone, in gloves, with a gun. Every scene Marco had felt like a goodbye. Britt confirmed Faison had four children, with the fourth still unnamed. Ric told Elizabeth she is the only reason he wants to build a life here, Lucas pulled her aside at dinner and encouraged her to follow her heart, and she went back to the table. When Ric started to tell her the truth about the detox, she stopped him.
Elsewhere, Stella pushed Jordan into a pregnancy test before she was ready, Cody showed up at Molly's with a basket after she asked for space, Olivia called a family meeting over Jacinda that Michael shut down in about thirty seconds, and Lulu's romantic dinner for Nathan ended with burned chicken and James mispronouncing charcuterie. Brook Lynn and Chase named the abandoned baby Phoebe and want to keep her, which is not how the system works. On Thursday we are starting our Ric and Elizabeth retrospective, Part One covering the end of 2002 through spring 2004. If you want to understand why we keep saying these two cannot simply pick back up where they left off, this is the episode.

Cesar Faison Part Five — 2014 & 2018
We have reached the final chapter of our Cesar Faison retrospective with guest JD, and this one covers 2014 and 2018. In 2014, the truth comes out that Anna and Robert secretly imprisoned Faison in the caverns beneath Wyndemere instead of turning him over to the authorities. When Anna leads everyone to the chamber to prove it, the pit is empty. He had been free long enough to walk around Port Charles wearing Luke Spencer's face. He is eventually arrested, escapes custody, and disappears again.
In 2018, Faison's memory mapping operation finally unravels, Drew learns he has been living Jason's life by design, and Nathan West discovers that Faison is his father. When Lulu convinces Nathan to go public with that connection to draw Faison out, it works. Faison shows up, confronts Maxie, and shoots Nathan when he tries to protect her. Jason shoots Faison. Nathan does not survive. Faison dies days later, and the fallout keeps coming, including a Huntington's diagnosis, a secret daughter Anna gave up in Brussels, and a will designed to pit Jason and Drew against each other even after his death.
By the end, even JD had run out of reasons to defend him. Listen to the full episode of Port Charles 411 for all the details and commentary. Join us Monday for our weekly recap, and we will see you at the pier.

General Hospital recap for the week of March 9-March 13, 2026. This week on GH, Jason walked in on Carly and Valentin and spent the rest of the week quietly tying up loose ends ahead of his exit. The mystery around Nathan deepens after a telling moment at the batting cages with James, and Shannon has a full theory about who Nathan actually is. Maxie and Lulu face off over the Nathan situation, and we break down why Maxie's frustration is completely valid. Molly's endometriosis flare-up lands her at the hospital, and the storyline continues to be one of the better things General Hospital is doing right now. Jordan and Justine meet up at the nail salon, Trina and Portia arrive, and a pregnancy announcement gets made in a very public setting. Charlotte is playing everyone around her like a true Cassadine. We are also covering Brook Lynn's growing attachment to Baby Jane Doe in the NICU, Britt's timeline getting pushed up by Sidwell, and a Gio and Sonny conversation that left us wanting more.

It was a dramatic week in Port Charles with new mysteries and shifting relationships. Brook Lynn and Chase rushed a pregnant woman named Delilah to the hospital, but she did not survive the emergency C-section, leaving behind a baby girl with no identification and a mysterious tattoo that may become important later.
Lulu and Nathan’s growing connection was exposed when Felicia caught them kissing. Lulu later told Maxie the truth, leading to an emotional conversation about Nathan’s return and Maxie’s complicated feelings after choosing Spinelli.
Curtis struggled with signing the papers to sell the house he once shared with Portia, while Jordan began questioning whether she might be pregnant. Meanwhile, Willow continued pushing forward with her political ambitions as Drew remained unable to communicate.
Things escalated when Josslyn discovered Valentin hiding in Carly’s attic, revealing that Carly already knew Josslyn had joined the WSB. Their confrontation forced Carly to face the impact Sonny’s world has had on her family.
Later, Valentin tried to comfort Carly as she processed everything Josslyn said, and the emotional moment quickly turned into something more—leading to an explosive development many fans have been waiting to see.
Sidwell also continues moving pieces behind the scenes as the larger mystery in Port Charles unfolds.
For the full breakdown and reactions to everything that happened this week, listen to the latest episode of Pier 54: A General Hospital Fan Podcast. We'll meet you at the pier.

In this Port Charles 411: Fan Spotlight, Shannon and Amanda chat on Zoom with fellow General Hospital fan Melanie Samalon about her longtime love of the show and the storylines that made the biggest impact on her as a viewer. Like many fans who started watching in the 90s, Melanie was drawn in by Sonny and Brenda, and the conversation revisits why that era of GH remains so memorable.
Melanie also shares a unique perspective as a trained actress who now works in corporate communications and dialect coaching. She talks about how her acting background shapes the way she watches soaps and why she appreciates the pace and craft of daytime television.
The discussion covers favorite storylines and couples from the 90s, recasts, classic GH sets they’d love to see return, and even ideas for how the show could generate more revenue—from product placement to selling in-show items like Corinthos Coffee. It’s a fun and nostalgic conversation between fans who share a deep appreciation for the world of Port Charles.

Shannon’s out on a work/romantic getaway, so Amanda is joined by guest co-host Ryan for this weekly recap of General Hospital (Monday, February 23 through Friday, February 27), and his “newbie POV” makes the chaos in Port Charles even more entertaining. A major focus this week is the escalating situation involving Britt and Sidwell, and how Lucas gets pulled deeper into it after learning that Marco knew Sidwell has been forcing Britt to continue Faison’s cold-fusion research. Britt is being controlled through her Huntington’s medication, with access tightened to keep her dependent and compliant, and Lucas is determined to help her break free by getting a sample that can be reverse-engineered. Britt considers a risky plan involving sodium pentothal, but Lucas pushes back and instead pressures Marco to help secure a vial—knowing it could put all three of them in serious danger once Sidwell’s people realize a vial is missing.
Outside of Britt’s crisis, the week delivers plenty of relationship and power-play fallout. Maxie returns to Deception and quickly realizes Sidwell has embedded himself deeper than anyone expected. Meanwhile, her personal life takes a turn when she chooses Spinelli, leaving Nathan pivoting toward Lulu—setting up an inevitable, messy conversation with Maxie. Willow’s new political chapter begins with a rocky first interview where Nina jumps in to keep her from floundering, Drew remains incapacitated under suspicious circumstances, and Sidwell continues to maneuver behind the scenes. Sonny and Justine cross a line, Jason warns Sonny about Callum, and the larger Sidwell/WSB web keeps tightening. By the end of the week, it’s clear the stakes are rising fast, and the biggest question is whether Lucas can actually help Britt before Sidwell tightens the leash even more.

César Faison’s 1999–2000 return to General Hospital marked one of his most manipulative and far-reaching storylines. Resurfacing in Switzerland under an alias, Faison secretly conducted diamond deals with Luke Spencer involving the Ice Princess, all while Luke remained unaware he was working with the man believed responsible for Robert and Anna’s deaths. At the same time, Faison revealed himself as the mastermind behind Lucky Spencer’s presumed death, holding Lucky captive and staging an elaborate cover-up using falsified medical records and surveillance to convince the world he was gone.
Faison controlled Lucky through psychological manipulation, threatening Elizabeth Webber and forcing Lucky into strategic mind games while Helena Cassadine’s involvement hinted at a larger plan unfolding behind the scenes. As Luke discovered Faison’s true identity, the diamond scheme escalated into a personal battle that pulled Felicia and Mac Scorpio into the chaos, straining relationships and raising the emotional stakes.
Even after arrest, Faison continued manipulating events, ultimately escaping custody and delivering a final bombshell to Luke: Lucky was alive. Moments later, Faison disappeared in a boat explosion, leaving Port Charles once again believing he was dead. In the aftermath, Luke began to suspect Helena’s deeper role in the scheme, setting the stage for future revelations and proving once again that Faison’s greatest weapon was never violence — it was control.

General Hospital Recap: February 16–20, 2026
This week focused on Maxie learning that Nathan and Britt are alive, which led her to question whether Faison could be too. Nathan told Liesl he would only consider reconciling with Maxie if that’s what James wanted. At the Brown Dog, Jason encouraged Spinelli not to count himself out, while Liesl made it clear Nathan was back.
Chase raised questions about Michael’s key ring, leading to a warrant at the Quartermaine mansion. Nathan collected the keys, and one matched Drew’s door. Ric warned Michael to stay quiet after Wiley mentioned the keys. Turner advised Dante to distance himself since they know Michael didn’t shoot Drew.
Willow resigned from her nursing job and said she needed to “see this through” with Drew. Sidwell suggested Willow step into Drew’s congressional role, while Laura encouraged Alexis to consider running.
Kristina tried to push Molly’s manuscript on Cody after he joined a Pride and Prejudice book club, but he refused to read it unless Molly asked.
Friday was devoted to Luke Spencer. Lulu found a photo of her dad and, with Tracy, tried to honor him first at the church and then at the Brown Dog. Haunted Star poker chips appeared around town, Liz’s mention of Aiden getting his license reminded Laura of Luke, and the group gathered at the pier to release lanterns and toast him. Lulu saw Luke walking into the fog and said, “See you later, Dad.”

Port Charles 411: Cesar Faison (1991–1992)
Faison returns to Port Charles under his own name — and immediately resumes his psychological war against Anna and Robert. From orchids on Anna’s wedding day to hypnosis that fractures the Scorpio marriage, this arc escalates fast.
By 1992, Faison expands into cartel operations, corporate manipulation, and a coordinated kidnapping plot targeting Robin. The story culminates in a deadly confrontation, a helicopter escape, and Robert and Anna being presumed dead.
Listen as we break down one of General Hospital’s most intense villain arcs — featuring Shannon’s husband JD, self-proclaimed Faison #1 fan.

General Hospital Recap: February 9–13, 2026
Lucas realized something bigger is happening at Wyndemere after overhearing Marco and his father discussing Britt’s medication being withheld. Liz warned him it isn’t safe to stay there, and Lucas confronted Marco.
Cullum told Carly to stop distracting Brennan, which led Carly to share news of Anna’s alleged breakdown with Valentin. Dante and Brennan agreed the story about Anna going rogue doesn’t add up. Laura and Mac offered Dante the commissioner job, and he later warned Chase about going rogue.
Lucy’s feud with Ava escalated. After clashing at the nail salon — where Lucy stormed out without paying — Jenz told her he had vetted both women and believes in second chances. Lucy later accepted a dinner invitation for three, without Ava knowing.
Portia rushed a paternity test confirming Curtis is the father. Curtis suggested formal custody arrangements before the baby arrives.
Kristina admitted she submitted Molly’s manuscript without permission, leaving Molly unable to revise it. Tracy encouraged Cody to keep reading the book and see how the story develops.
Danny asked about the Cassadine family tree and told Jason he kissed Charlotte. Valentin warned Charlotte not to trust anyone.
In Boston, Maxie woke up and returned to mom mode. Felicia then told her Nathan is alive.

This week on General Hospital (February 2–6), the episodes moved slowly until Friday reframed everything.
We focused heavily on Willow and the custody situation, including the sixty forty compromise in Michael’s favor and the fallout from Willow taking Michael’s house key and making it look like he had been in the house. Chase continued inserting himself where he didn’t belong, questioning Molly and later testing Michael’s keys at Drew’s house.
Friday shifted the week when Willow admitted to Drew that she shot him, injected him, and explained that he now needs ongoing medication. That led to a larger conversation about Drew being discharged, with Lucas raising concerns about whether Drew was ever asked what he wanted.
Britt’s situation tightened as well. After agreeing to let Jason reverse engineer her medication, it went missing and turned up with Cullum, who told her she would receive one dose at a time at Wyndemere.
Anna was found in France after escaping and flagging down a car while talking about Cesar being alive. Emma went to Felicia, and authorities moved toward placing Anna in a mental health facility, despite Anna warning that Faison would use Emma to get to her.
Joss continued digging, questioning Laura about power grids and Liesl about the Faison book and fresh cigarettes found on Spoon Island. Lucas quietly clocked several things at Wyndemere, including Britt’s presence and Pascal’s behavior.
We also touched on Tracy reclaiming Edward’s decanter, Diane’s skiing injury, Ezra’s uncomfortable gym scenes, Sonny adopting a rescue dog named Fizz, and the legal limits of Willow’s accusations.

This week on Port Charles 411, we continue our Fan Spotlight with Kim Hudson in Part 2 of a conversation so good it couldn’t fit in one episode. We dive into GH theories (including Kim’s Faison-as-AI idea), laugh over the show’s science-adjacent chaos, and reflect on how story pacing has sped up over the years.
We discuss Kristina’s stalled storyline and brainstorm ways to give her momentum, what makes a legacy character like Lois memorable, and how GH works best when everyone has a story. Kim also shares insights on Willow’s resilience, Nina’s fierce loyalty, and the heartbreak of lost characters like Franco.
Fans, theories, and GH history collide in this relaxed, spoiler-aware chat.

This week on General Hospital (January 26–30, 2026), a major storm shut down Port Charles, forcing characters into close quarters and pushing secrets into the open.
Joss went all-in on her Wyndemere investigation, openly questioning Brick about power grids and intentionally heading to the island during the storm, where she crossed paths with Cullum and picked up clues that pointed her straight to Anna. Meanwhile, Anna’s captivity grew more disturbing as she was isolated without power and taunted by someone using Faison’s voice, leaving her increasingly disoriented.
Britt and Jason’s week moved from confrontation to confession. After Britt threatened Jason with a restraining order, Lucas became suspicious of her secret work at Wyndemere. By week’s end, Britt and Jason were snowed in together, where Britt revealed Cullum’s control over her, the WSB involvement, and how her Huntington’s medication is being used against her.
Molly and Cody were also stranded together, with tension rising after Cody read Molly’s manuscript and struggled with how he was portrayed. Tracy and Martin were forced to share Drew’s place, leading to blunt conversations about Luke and past choices, while Portia and Trina clashed over paternity, trust, and long-standing lies.
We also covered the week’s “wait, what?” moments, listener emails, a debunked Steve Burton rumor, and a discussion of the upcoming Tony Geary tribute.

Kim Hudson joins Amanda and Shannon for Port Charles 411 Fan Spotlight (Part 1), and the conversation instantly feels like longtime fans picking right back up. Kim’s GH history goes all the way back to watching with her mom in the late 70s, taking breaks over the years, and diving back in after finding our podcast.
We talk about watching older GH now (hello, 1988 makeup), characters who disappear without explanation, and why soaps are at their best when people make messy choices. The chat naturally drifts into current storylines, WSB questions, and some very classic GH speculation — and goes long enough to become a two-parter.

Got it — here’s a much tighter, cleaner version that still hits the major beats and flows smoothly:
This was a heavy four-day week on General Hospital (January 19–23, 2026), with nearly every storyline tied to the fallout from Willow’s not-guilty verdict. Even without a full week of episodes, the show packed in a lot — and most of it unraveled fast once everyone left the courtroom.
The week opened with Willow, Drew, Nina, and Chase returning to Drew’s house to “celebrate,” though the mood was anything but joyful. Nina was eager to stay, Chase brought flowers, and Scout wandered in with questions, but Drew abruptly sent Nina away and Chase soon followed. Once alone, Willow toasted Drew — then stabbed him in the neck with a syringe, repeating the exact words he’d said the night he was shot. In that instant, Drew finally realized Willow had been the shooter.
At the hospital, Willow slipped into crisis mode, playing distraught while quietly disposing of the syringe and keeping her story straight. Nina began noticing how off the timing felt, especially as Willow seemed to know too much about Drew’s condition. Alexis balanced suspicion with relief that Scout was safe.
We talked a lot about how unsettling it is that Willow went free — and how her real punishment may be staying married to Drew. Trina and Kai even said it out loud: Willow avoided prison, but she’s trapped in the life she created.
Michael struggled all week, especially with Sonny, reopening old wounds about trust and protection. His anger spilled into a physical confrontation with Chase, already spiraling after his demotion — a demotion that felt especially unfair compared to Nathan’s return without consequences.
Tracy had a strong week, offering to protect Jason if needed and recognizing that Chase needed to talk to Brook Lynn instead of self-destructing. Britt, meanwhile, pushed Jason away and picked fights with Carly, clearly acting out. Jason refused to choose, and Carly surprisingly clocked that something deeper was going on.
Anna’s story grew darker as she heard Faison’s voice and later “saw” Peter, likely hallucinations that only deepened our Faison theory. Emma went searching for Mac and instead crossed paths with Nathan, with Gio staying by her side. Elizabeth and Laura shared a quiet, grounding scene about grief and support.
We also discussed the brief Anthony Geary tribute, which felt abrupt but made more sense once we learned a full tribute episode is coming.

We loved connecting with Rena Sofer for a Port Charles 411 cast interview because teenage Amanda and Shannon never would’ve believed we’d get to spend an afternoon talking with Lois Cerullo herself. Staying warm at home in upstate New York, Rena shared what it was like stepping back into Lois after so many years away, along with behind the scenes stories and some real life conversation too.
We talked about the things Lois fans care about most, like the friendship of Lois and Brenda, Lois’ signature press on nails, and how different filming is now compared to the ’90s.
Rena also opened up about ceramics, animal rescue, and the benefit event she’s planning in Pittsburgh later this year to support animal and human food banks.

This week on General Hospital (Jan 12–16, 2026) was tense and emotionally heavy, with the trial driving nearly everything. Much of our discussion focused on Alexis, whose role shifted once she learned Trina and Kai were with Drew the night he was shot. Her choices — and the moral gray area she navigated with Diane and Sonny — showed just how boxed in she truly was.
In court, reasonable doubt ruled, but the verdict didn’t bring clean closure. Fallout lingered for Dante and Chase, while chaos exploded at the Quartermaine house as Tracy, Ned, Olivia, and Drew collided, ending with Olivia pulling a rifle on Drew and Laura later forcing a fragile truce.
We also covered Molly and Cody taking a sincere, slightly uncomfortable step forward, Anna’s disturbing isolation and psychological manipulation, and the growing uncertainty around Faison’s shadow. Valentin, Carly, Brennan, and Cullum continued taking risks that feel ready to unravel.
Plus: Britt and Jason’s axe-throwing date and concerns about old patterns, set changes, legal nuance, cast news, and a listener theory that Drew could be Shiloh.
Hosts Amanda and Shannon break it all down in their weekly recap.

This week’s Port Charles 411 Fan Spotlight features a relaxed, thoughtful conversation with longtime listener Sam Nolan. Sam shared how she first connected with General Hospital, what it was like growing up with the show, and why staying spoiler-free has always mattered to her — especially when it comes to major emotional moments.
We also talked about representation on GH through Leo, how real-life experiences can deepen the viewing experience, and why some recent twists feel more exhausting than shocking. The conversation naturally flowed into favorite characters, current frustrations, and speculation that longtime fans will instantly recognize.
