Why do Lubavitcher Chassidim place such a strong emphasis on the Rebbe? This question comes up often—there are many rabbanim and roshei yeshiva, so why is there such a central focus on the Rebbe, why are his pictures so commonly displayed, where does this strong connection come from, and is it something unique to Lubavitch or does it have roots in earlier Jewish history?Answered by Rabbi Mendy Wolf
Why are we careful to eat handmade matzah as opposed to machine matzah? While modern machines are faster and cleaner, they cannot provide the required human spiritual intention (kavana) necessary to bake the "bread of faith" for Passover.Stump the Rabbi - Rabbi Shlomo Goldfarb

If a soldier can approach a mission with the mindset of “I can,” why do we let small failures convince us that we’re incapable? How does one small frustration turn into a whole story where we start believing we can’t? And how much of our success is really determined by the mindset we choose to build?

Today, many people use the word “Zionist” simply to mean someone who supports Israel. Can you fully support Eretz Yisroel and the Jewish people without calling yourself a Zionist? This project was made possible byThe Chanin FundYZ BIZ INChttps://yzbiz.com/To ask a question and for more answers visit:http://stumptherabbi.org/

Chabad doesn’t grow long payos — why?If it’s a mitzvah, wouldn’t more be better? The Arizal writes about the proper shiur of payos and why going beyond it isn’t necessarily ideal.
The joy of Adar is unique because it centers on the power of transformation within our regular, everyday lives rather than escaping from them. While other holidays might omit Tachanun to rise above the mundane, Adar is a time when we engage with the physical world and even its negative aspects to turn them into something holy. Therefore, we say Tachanun because the greatest possible joy is found in the ability to descend into the "bottom" of the world and transform that negativity into a connection with the Divine.
What am I here for? What is my mission? Chassidus addresses these core questions of existence by diving deep into the teachings of the Alter Rebbe. Using the Book of Tanya as a practical guide, we explore a framework for living with intention—fostering the love, fear, and motivation needed to serve G-d. Beyond just theory, Chassidus opens us up to a profound understanding of ourselves, the purpose of creation, and the entirety of reality.
Should bochurim drink alcohol? In this episode of Stump the Rabbi, Rabbi Noam Wagner shares the Rebbe’s clear approach: Chassidim don’t drink for the sake of drinking — they say “Lechaim.” The Rebbe emphasized that for those under forty, drinking should be extremely limited — no more than four small shot glasses, and never to the point of getting drunk. A farbrengen is about inspiration, and connection — not intoxication. This project was made possible byThe Chanin FundYZ BIZ INCTo ask a question and for more answers visit:http://stumptherabbi.org/

Is there such a thing as a "non-Chassidish" question? Many of us hesitate to speak up at a farbrengen or a Q&A session because we’re afraid of how we might look to others. We worry that our doubts or curiosities might seem "unrefined."In this episode, Rabbi Mendy Wolf challenges that mindset. he explains why hiding a question is actually the opposite of being Chassidish. If you care about your growth, you have to care enough to ask.Stump the Rabbi - Rabbi Mendy Wolf This project was made possible byThe Chanin FundYZ BIZ INC

What are we actually doing when we say Yechi? Is it a holy proclamation of kingship, or has it just become another social slogan? Drawing a parallel to the prayer of Shema, Rabbi Yosef Katzman challenges us to move beyond the shouting and treat the crowning of Moshiach with the same reverence and dignity we afford our most sacred prayers. If saying Yechi is our way of declaring the King, then the way we say it—with respect, timing, and intentionality—matters just as much as the words themselves. This project was made possible byThe Chanin FundYZ BIZ INCTo ask a question and for more answers visit:http://stumptherabbi.org/
