This was a talk that I gave to local Catholic Young Adults in the Dallas area! This talk covers everything from facing rejection, why rejection feels so deep, and continuing with hope as you build resilience!
In this episode, I’m sharing my recent interview with the Guadalupe Radio Network in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where I was a guest on their monthly “Young and Present!” show (airs every second Friday). We dive into Catholic dating in the digital age and unpack the real challenges young adults are facing in 2026 — from dating apps and social media to intentionality, discernment, and staying rooted in faith while searching for a spouse. If you’re navigating modern dating as a Catholic (or ministering to those who are), this conversation is for you.
In this conversation with Jillian Kurvers, life coach and strategist, we explore how technology and the modern internet have eroded decorum—and how that cultural shift has made dating far harder than it needs to be. This episode offers a much-needed breath of fresh air, inviting Catholic singles to step back, reflect, and date with greater intentionality in today’s digital age.
Originally recorded in January 2025 on the Former Truly Present Podcast, I talked with Matchmaker Madigan of CommitmentISM Catholic Matchmaking about how Matchmaking is a Fabulous Alternative to the Dating Apps that many Catholic Singles who have lost hope should strongly consider! Today, I’m interviewing Judith Pereira, Founder of Empowered Dating Co and a trauma-informed Catholic dating coach, who helps Catholic single women uncover the roots of their broken dating patterns and move toward freedom and healthy relationships. This conversation sheds light on what so many Catholic single women are silently suffering through, but rarely feel safe enough to talk about.
Continuing the conversation on Catholic dating from a man’s perspective, we discuss the importance of communicating unspoken expectations, learning how to disagree well, and developing the skill of challenging your thoughts to discern the voice of God versus the voice of the enemy. We also share a sneak peek into our story, talk about intentionally distinguishing dating from marriage, and explore why marriage is something you build together, not something you simply hope to find.
On this episode of the Catholic Dating in the Digital Age podcast, I’m joined by Joey Pontarelli, founder of Restored Ministry. Joey serves Adult Children of Divorce, separation, and dysfunctional marriages, helping them heal and reclaim hope for love and marriage. In this conversation, we talk about:Healing limiting beliefs about love and marriageLearning how to engage in healthy conflictDating with the natural obstacles and wounds that come from growing up in a broken or dysfunctional familyListen to the Restored Podcast Buy Joey's Book: It's Not Your Fault.Fr. In this episode, I chat with Rachel Hoover Canto, author of Pretty Good Catholic, for Part 2 of our conversation. We break down practical strategies for dating intentionally and with purpose. Learn why meeting 5 people a week can benefit your life beyond just finding a spouse, how the non-exclusive stage can actually support your discernment, and why avoiding intense early relationships leads to healthier connections. We also explore how practicing chastity strengthens your ability to discern fruitfully and clarify the difference between casual dates and serious dating—plus tips for building meaningful friendships without getting stuck in the friend zone.
In Part 2, we take this conversation on the road. Riding along together, we get practical and real about Catholic dating—breaking down how to approach dates 1–5, why becoming less like strangers should be the real goal early on, and how to build connection without forcing intensity. We talk candidly about rejection, mixed signals, pacing, and what healthy progression actually looks like when both people are dating with purpose. This episode feels less like a lecture and more like an honest road trip conversation about discernment, communication, and dating with clarity, peace, and a sense of humor. If you’ve ever wished someone would just tell you how this works in real life, this one’s for you.
Join me as I discuss the uniquely Catholic struggles of burnout and mental health in the modern age with Mary, a Certified Mentor from the CatholicPsych Institute. This conversation touches on many deep pain points for Catholic singles—especially those faced by Catholic women. While these struggles are often left unspoken, avoiding them only gives them more weight. By bringing them into the light, our hope is to offer understanding, healing, and renewed hope. See more of Mary's work with 1:1 Mentorship!
What does healthy, faithful dating actually look like from a man’s point of view? In this episode, I’m joined by a special guest who offers honest, practical advice for men navigating Catholic dating today. We talk about how men experience dating, discernment, rejection, initiative, and communication—and what actually helps relationships grow in real life, not just in theory. This conversation is rooted in human formation as much as spiritual intention: showing up well, leading with clarity, having fun, and discerning marriage without losing joy or authenticity along the way. Whether you’re a man looking for direction or a woman wanting to better understand the male experience, this episode offers thoughtful insight and usable takeaways for dating well—with faith, maturity, and purpose.
In this guest conversation on the Words with Ward Show, I explore how Catholic singles can date intentionally in a digital world. From dating apps and discernment to burnout and hope, this episode offers practical wisdom for choosing well and staying rooted in faith while dating.
In this episode, I chat with Rachel Hoover Canto, author of Pretty Good Catholic, in a conversation originally recorded in September 2024 on the Former Truly Present Podcast, just before I hosted my first Speed Dating Event in Plano. We explore the many ways real-life meet-cutes happen—whether in an elevator, a grocery store parking lot, or at a singles’ event—and how to actually meet new people and build your “dating funnel.” Rachel and I dive into how to approach online dating effectively, why dedicated singles’ events really work (and don’t have to be awkward), and so much more. Welcome to Catholic Dating in the Digital Age! I’m kicking off the podcast with a replay of a virtual talk I gave to local Catholic Singles, where I explore how a digital detox can truly transform your dating life. In this talk, I share the heart behind this podcast and ministry, and why I felt called to combine my two greatest passions: Digital Wellness and Catholic Dating. This passion project addresses a gap I see in the Church today: helping Catholic singles navigate dating intentionally in a digital world.
