Salvation is the love of God - love made salvation possible. Love also made the ability to know the truth possible. God’s truth defines our reality.Love Initiated Initiated Truth - John 1:6-18 Love and truth are inseparable. God’s love binds us to the truth. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7Because the Love of God is rooted in God’s truth, we are separated from the world.- The world does not know God’s love. Because God’s love is rooted in truth and the whole world is in darkness, God’s love separates us from the world.- This means that whatever is considered to be live in the world, if God’s love is not a part of it, it’s rooted in darkness no matter how good it sounds. For example, God’s love is incompatible with hating people. 1 John 2:15-16Do Not Love the World - 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12, Matthew 24:4-14 Support the showFind more content at bolcf.org

Welcome to Made New this week Danny and Jeff dive deeper into our current focus “The Church"This week we’ll focus on who makes up in the church familyGod modeled the family in the garden after himself (his image) and so we reflect the community that is the trinitarian God of the Bible. Because of that, His Church reflects his nature as well and it is a family. The Members of the church are not like members of a gym but more like members or parts of the body. The church is made up of confessing believers who are justified by faith and made new by the Spirit. It is a community manifesting the supernatural life of the triune God!Support the showFind more content at bolcf.org
Today we begin a brand new series focused on the church. Jesus is the center of His Church and He sets people (you and me/members) into His body as he sees fit. That is why any look at what it means to be Made New has to include a look at Jesus’ Bride, the city set on a hill, the church. This week we’ll focus on the “what” of the church. In the following weeks, we’ll dive into the how of the church as well.Ephesians 5:25 - Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.Support the showFind more content at bolcf.org
In this teaching, we explore what it is means to become like Jesus through salvation. We discuss the fact that being a christian isn't something one is born into, a social class, or even a religion. One becomes a Christian, when they truly meet Jesus and surrender to His Lordship. When that happens, he begins to live in our hearts, through faith, slowly making us like him. He does this through the power of the Holy Spirit, as he make us into his likeness.Click Here For NotesSupport the showFind more content at bolcf.org
In this teaching, we learn what being saved into Jesus means. Simply, it means that Jesus Christ, through a God-given miracle, becomes quite real to us. The result is us wanting to surrender our lives to Him. We enter into relationship with Him by believing in Him. Upon that surrender, He moves into our hearts and lives, and begins to create a new life. This is what salvation means, and how it becomes real when we are born again.Click Here For NotesSupport the showFind more content at bolcf.org
This teaching is on what it means to be saved and to have a relationship with God. This brings us to the Biblical subject of repentance. The Bible teaches us that in order to know God, we have to repent from sin and evil deeds. We must understand what sin is, and choose to be free from it by choosing God at a personal level. In order for faith to be real, it must be joined with repentance. Join us as we look at this matter, and learn to trust Jesus for our forgiveness and deliverance from evil.Click Here For NotesSupport the showFind more content at bolcf.org
In this week's teaching, Jeff Delong explains how salvation comes through what the Bible calls grace, and it is not a result of our good efforts and right doing.Click Here For NotesSupport the showFind more content at bolcf.org
This week, Tom Bedford teaches us what it truly means to be converted to Christianity. Together, we look at the idea that being a church attender who agrees that the Bible teaches good morals, does not necessarily create Biblical faith. The Bible teaches that while these things are good, we need to go further and believe in Jesus at a heart level to produce a life change. Salvation is a matter of transferring trust from ourselves to trusting in God for our eternity.Click Here For NotesSupport the showFind more content at bolcf.org
This is the first message in our series on "The Beginning." This series aims to lay the foundation of what The Gospel is and what it means to be a Christian. Questions like: What does it mean to be born again? How does salvation work in one's life? Does a person really go to hell without knowing Jesus? What does it mean to know Jesus? What do the scriptures say about these things? All of these questions are relevant and important. Please follow this weekly discussion and discover what is possible with God.Click Here For NotesSupport the showFind more content at bolcf.org

This Mother's Day message was given at Bread of Life Church of Fresno where Tom Bedford spoke on the power and the role of Motherhood. In this message, he gave examples of three women in his life, who through the grace and wisdom of motherhood, helped shape him into a leader and minister. This is a timely message, as the role of women is being redefined with great persuasion. Motherhood is discouraged and dishonored in today's culture. However, God's word gives great honor to the natural desire to have children. Motherhood is one of the most effective callings on the earth because it has the power to raise the next generation of leaders. Whether you are a mom who is hurting, or a young mother who is looking to the future, this message will encourage and perhaps even bring healing.Support the showFind more content at bolcf.org
