Join Mossy Oak Properties, Tennessee Land & Farm Agents, Doug Kinser and Davis Fleming as they discuss stories of rescues and emergencies directed by Tennessee State Parks Chief Ranger T. Shane Petty. Shane is currently the Operations Chief for Maury County OEM, overseeing operations, search and rescue, and the K-9 program. From 1989–1993, he was a park ranger at Henry Horton State Park and later served as Chief Ranger for all 56 Tennessee State Parks until retiring in 2023. He managed 250 rangers and led emergency teams including wildland fire, search and rescue (SAR), mounted, and K-9 units. He has run 2,000+ SAR missions and helped locate 280+ missing persons with his bloodhounds. A co-founder of Tracking and Search and Rescue (TSAR) and adjunct instructor at the TN Law Enforcement Academy for 29 years, he has received numerous honors including State Park Ranger of the Year, Columbia State Alumni of the Year, and a Governor's Day of Recognition. He holds degrees from Columbia State, Middle Tennessee University, and Bethel University, and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He is also the author of two books: Lost and Hound and So God Made Rangers.

"Talkin' Turkeys - 2025 Tennessee Governor's One Shot" has our own Mossy Oak Properties Agent, Doug Kinser sitting down with Johnny Allred, Development Director for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation and Keith Seagraves (longest volunteer) for the Tennessee Governor's One Shot event. The Tennessee Governor's One Shot Turkey Hunt is an annual event, hosted by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation (TWRF), where selected individuals, often veterans, are paired with experienced guides to hunt premium properties in middle Tennessee, aiming to harvest a gobbler on opening day of the spring turkey season. Watch and listen as three friends talk about this great event as well as stories about the old days growing up together and how they all became addicted to hunting the great Eastern Wild Turkey! In the second episode of Tennessee Dirt, we sit down with Mossy Oak Brand Ambassador and outdoor legend, Ronnie "Cuz" Strickland. Cuz joined the Mossy Oak team in 1988, two years after the company was born, first as salesman, then in marketing and public relations. He worked with Toxey Haas to found Mossy Oak's media productions department, building a large series of retail video titles, then launching the company's first broadcast television offerings with Mossy Oak's Hunting the Country on TNN in 1995. Today, as Senior Vice President, he oversees media efforts that have expanded to include both traditional broadcast and online video. Cuz is the author of three books of humor and instruction on turkey hunting, and in 2010 was recognized as the National Wild Turkey Federation's Communicator of the Year.
