It's our maiden voyage on Maryland Racing Today, Powered by The Racing Biz, and  cohosts Mackenzie Pfeiffer and Frank Vespe have a great time talking Maryland racing, looking back at the news of the last week, and visiting with guests. Guests on this week's Maryland Racing Today include Kenny Taylor, who co-owned Hall of Famer Xtra Heat -- whose namesake stake was run last week and who is probably the best winner of the Barbara Fritchie Stakes, which takes place Saturday -- and David Bushey, whose Bush Racing Stable owns General George contender Point Dume. We learn the answers to some intriguing questions like: where did Xtra Heat's silks come from anyway (not where we were expecting)? How does David root for his horses? And more importantly, an update on David's father, co-owner Bryan Bushey, who is taking courage from his horse as he battles cancer.
