In the late 1980s, "John and Gordy's Media World" was a local cable access program on WYOU-TV in Madison, Wisconsin featuring the comedic partnership of John Peterson & Gordy Young. The program showcased their irreverent, conversational style. For serveral years, Peterson & Young also had radio stints at 92FM-WMAD and Triple M Radio and at WMSN-FOX47 as hosts of the weekend late night movie show "Night Owl Theater". More recently, the duo had revived their radio partnership with WMDX-FM, Madison from 2023-2026 with the"John & Gordy Morning Show". Since the conclusion of their time at WMDX, Peterson and Young have devoted their efforts to going back to their roots with an updated version of "John and Gordy's Media World" available on YouTube and Facebook and check out the audio version, "John and Gordy's Media World Podcast" wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

Unrelated and still important, John & Gordy recall going to the last 2 Testicle Festival in Springfield Corners, Wisconsin...but, are sad they missed this year's fest.
The time finally arrived. The cameras and mics were turned on. The ribbon cutting had just taken place. John and Gordy downed three shots of vodka...and it was on! The very first episode from the new studio in John's basement was about to begin. A hush fell over the crowd and just then, a the familiar theme music from 37 years ago began to play...it's a brand new day for "John and Gordy's Media World". Long live John Peterson and Gordy Young...they're not dead, yet!
John and Gordy are back together again with "John & Gordy's Media World". They finally have a chance to catch up after almost 3 weeks of dealing with unemployment, Gordy's ear surgery, building their new studio and more. They welcome their former boss Kathryn Lake to the show to talk about moving on from their radio home for the last 2+ years and what's next. They phone one of their loyal listeners, Doug Normington who likes to drive around Milwaukee in a random fashion from time to time. It's a new beginning for John and Gordy. It's all good! John and Gordy are back together once again! This time, they're testing the studio equipment at Gordy's place to be sure the Bluetooth functions correctly...oh, the fun!
The guys also discuss their "John and Gordy Media World" YouTube channel, still under constuction. It will feature lots of great old video clips from the original cable access show of the same name, as well as brand spankin' new shows, from the massive video studio being assembled in John's basement.
