The San Francisco Giants sealed their first series win of the 2026 MLB season as they beat the Padres for the second consecutive night, this time thanks in part to a HUGE rally in the top of the 6th inning. Willy Adames had a four-hit night, including a home run, to help out starter Logan Webb, who spun six innings of mostly quality pitching. The San Francisco Giants FINALLY picked up their first win of the 2026 MLB season as Landen Roupp was filthy on the bump tonight and Harrison Bader smashed the team's first home run of the season. The bottom of the order produced some key runs in the win as well, but Ryan Walker nearly gave it away in the ninth inning. It was a brutal series for the San Francisco Giants — and the numbers say it all. Just one run over three games in a historically bad offensive stretch. The San Francisco Giants have had just about the worst start to the 2026 season that you could ask for, and their terrible play continued today as they fell to the New York Yankees 3-1. The San Francisco Giants entered today looking for their first run of the 2026 MLB season, and they ended today still searching for that first run as they fell 3-0 to the New York Yankees at Oracle Park. An Aaron Judge two-run blast and a solo shot from Giancarlo Stanton proved to be the difference in this one, but the biggest concern with this team, much like last season and the years prior, remains on the offensive side of the equation. Opening Night didn’t go the way the San Francisco Giants hoped, as they got smacked and showed clear areas that still need work.
