Hear Me Out & Pass the Scissors - A Scrapbooking Podcast

Lisa and Nicole are back for Season 3 of Hear Me Out! Pass the Scissors after taking the summer off, and they have a lot to catch up on. In this episode, the scrapbook podcast duo shares personal updates from their summer, including changes to their creative businesses, YouTube channels, and everyday lives, before diving into three major topics affecting the scrapbooking and crafting community: the disruption surrounding Notions and its warehouse, changes to Stampin’ Up! and what they could mean for demonstrators, and upcoming YouTube monetization changes in 2027. Lisa and Nicole share what they have learned, offer their opinions, discuss the importance of researching industry news, and give practical tips for creators who are working toward YouTube monetization and the 4,000 watch-hour threshold. Whether you scrapbook, create content, run a creative business, or simply enjoy keeping up with the crafting industry, this Season 3 premiere is a casual catch-up packed with real-life stories, creator conversations, industry news, and plenty of “hear us out” moments. In the Season 2 finale of Hear Me Out and Pass the Scissors, Lisa and Nicole tackle one of their biggest "what if" questions yet: What if they had to start over from scratch? Imagine losing every scrapbook supply, tool, album, photo organization system, YouTube channel, design team connection, and follower overnight. What would they buy first? What would they never purchase again? Would they still scrapbook Disney, create double-page layouts, create scenes or even start a YouTube channel? Join them as they reflect on the lessons they've learned about scrapbooking, content creation, organization, and creativity while sharing the mistakes they'd avoid, the tools they couldn't live without, and the advice they'd give to their beginner selves. Whether you're new to scrapbooking or have been preserving memories for decades, this heartfelt and inspiring season finale is packed with practical tips, honest conversation, and encouragement for every memory keeper. In this episode of Hear Me Out and Pass the Scissors, Lisa and Nicole challenge the idea that scrapbookers always need new inspiration. Instead, they share the sketches, sketch bundles, classes, and creative resources they return to again and again when designing scrapbook layouts. From favorite page sketches for heavy embellishing to go-to sketch bundles that help use up paper scraps and 6x6 paper pads, they discuss why some resources stand the test of time and how the same sketch can produce completely different results. Along the way, they highlight layouts from their own channels, talk about the value of revisiting proven designs, and encourage scrapbookers to get more mileage from the inspiration they already have. Whether you're looking for scrapbook sketch ideas, layout inspiration, ways to use scraps, or tips for stretching your favorite classes and workshops, this episode is packed with practical ideas for creative memory keeping. In this episode of Hear Me Out and Pass the Scissors, Nicole and Lisa dive into Creating with Collections, a scrapbooking challenge focused on getting the most from a single scrapbook collection. Nicole explains how she started this series and her experience with the past four series she has completed. We then share our experiences using the Doodlebug Tinsel Time collection, discuss how to stretch supplies across multiple layouts, use scrapbook sketches to keep designs fresh, and decide whether a collection has enough papers and embellishments to go the distance. We also tackle listener questions about busy patterned papers, leftover scraps, killing a kit, and how to choose scrapbook collections that fit your style and photos. If you've ever wondered when a collection is truly finished or how to make the most of the scrapbook supplies you already own, this episode is packed with practical tips, honest opinions, and plenty of scrapbook talk. In this episode of Hear Me Out and Pass the Scissors, Nicole turns the tables and interviews Lisa about some of the biggest changes in her creative journey. We look back at our Season 1 episode, From Hobby to Side Hustle, and talk about what has happened since then, including joining the Bella Blvd Creative Team, expanding Lisa's Etsy shop, launching Lisa's scrapbook organization products, and making the decision to leave her corporate job to become a full-time content creator. Nicole also shares what she has learned during her first year on the Bella Blvd team and offers her honest, slightly skeptical perspective on turning a creative hobby into a career. If you are interested in scrapbooking, content creation, Etsy, creative entrepreneurship, and what it really takes to bet on yourself, this episode is for you.
