Notes

The Autobiography of Yeshua is a spiritual narrative written in the first-person voice of Yeshua (Jesus), presenting His life, mission, death, resurrection, and ongoing presence from the perspective of eternal union rather than traditional religious doctrine. This book is not a historical reconstruction, denominational theology, or institutional commentary. It is a reflective and revelatory work exploring themes of divine love, finished redemption, oneness with God, the end of religious separation, and the Kingdom within. Through poetic, conversational chapters, the reader is invited to reconsider long-held assumptions about sin, wrath, judgment, and salvation — and to encounter the story of Christ as a living, present reality rather than a distant historical event. The central message of the book is that the work of redemption was completed, not offered; that separation from God was an illusion of the human mind; and that divine union has always been the intention from before the foundation of the world. This work is offered freely to encourage reflection, spiritual awakening, and deeper contemplation of the finished work of Christ. Copyright © 2025 Barry James Laney. All rights reserved. What if the story you were told about God… was only part of the story? Barry Laney grew up in the deep religious traditions of the American South, where faith was often wrapped in fear, guilt, and the constant pressure to be worthy of God. Like many others, he learned early that salvation depended on belief, confession, repentance, and a lifetime of trying to live up to religious expectations. But something inside him never stopped asking questions. Years later, a simple moment changed everything. In a small home meeting in 1994, Barry heard a man do something unusual. Instead of jumping from verse to verse, the teacher simply read the writings of the apostle Paul from beginning to end—allowing the message to unfold in its own context. What Barry heard stunned him. Grace. Freedom. Reconciliation already accomplished. It was all there in the pages of scripture. From that moment forward, the bell of grace began ringing in Barry’s life—a bell that would lead him through decades of questioning, spiritual wrestling, fierce opposition, and moments of deep personal revelation. This book tells the story of that journey. Written as an autobiography narrated by Yeshua, Grace and Peace: The Redemption Journey of Barry Laney explores one man’s search for truth and the message he believes he discovered along the way: That humanity may have been loved, accepted, and redeemed long before it ever realized it. Barry’s path has not been easy. His message has often been rejected. Friends, family, and religious leaders have challenged nearly every step he has taken. But the voice that guided him has never stopped whispering one simple truth: Grace was never meant to be earned. It was meant to be remembered. Whether you agree with Barry’s conclusions or simply want to understand his journey, this book invites you to explore a question that has echoed through centuries of faith: What if the love of God is far greater than we ever imagined? From The Author: Barry Laney is a writer, musician, and teacher from Alabama who has spent decades exploring the themes of grace, redemption, and the finished work of Christ. Through his books, music, and online teachings, he invites readers to reconsider what the gospel of peace might truly mean.
Was It A Dream (The Finished Work of The Cross)
Listen… …listen to the sound of the wind brushing the bricks. That wind… has traveled from the hills of Galilee to these steps of yours. It knows your name. …and it does not hurry. Look around you. See? There… the young mother with the baby on her hip. She is not late for work—she is right on time. There… the old man who smells like last night’s beer. He is not lost—he is found… just doesn’t know it yet. And there… the teenager with the earbuds in, staring at the ground. He thinks the world is too loud. I say… the world is too quiet. Blessed… are the poor. Not poor in pocket—but poor in pride. The ones who know… they need. And the moment you know you need— —I already have. Blessed… are those who mourn. Not the ones who cry because the team lost. But the ones who weep because they see the cracks… in their own heart… in their child’s eyes… in the sky. And when you weep— —I do not say, Be strong. I say… Be weak. Because My arms… are already underneath. Blessed… are the gentle. The ones who never learned how to push back. The ones who let the line cut in front of them… who let the dog win… who let the silence stay. You think gentle is weak? I say… gentle is the only thing that lasts. Because the mountain does not move… until the wind decides it has. Blessed… are those who hunger… and thirst. Not for the new phone… not for the next high… but for… something real. …and the moment you taste real— —you will never be thirsty again. Not because the thirst is gone. But because I AM… the drink. Blessed… are the merciful. The ones who let the ex off the hook. The ones who do not tell the boss. The ones who say, I know… I know what it’s like to fall. You think mercy is soft? Mercy… is the only thing that breaks the chain. And when you give it… …you get it back. Not as reward. But as breath. Blessed… are the pure in heart. Not the ones who never sinned. The ones who never lied to themselves… about why they did. The ones who say, I wanted… because I was empty. And when you admit the empty— —I fill it. Not with stuff. With Me. And then… you will see God. Not in the clouds. In the mirror. Blessed… are the peacemakers. Not the ones who yell peace from the pulpit. But the ones who sit in the kitchen… after the fight… and say, I don’t know how… but I still love you. That’s peace. Not the absence of storm. The presence… of Me. And the world will call you bastard. I will call you… son. Daughter. Beloved. Blessed… are those who are persecuted. Not because they stood on a box and shouted. But because they loved… when no one else did. Because they forgave… when it hurt. Because they stayed… when everyone left. You think that’s failure? I say… that’s the kingdom. And the kingdom… is right here. In your pocket. In your mouth. In the way you look at the stranger… and don’t turn away. Now… …stand up. Not to clap. Not to cheer. Just… stand. Feel the concrete. Feel the sun. Feel the shoulder next to you. That’s church. That’s altar. That’s Me. …and when you walk away… …don’t look back to see if I’m still here. Look forward… to see who I AM… in them. …because if you see Me in them… …you never left. I am you! We are one!
I just finished listening. Not reading—listening. Because this isn’t a book. It’s breath. It’s memory. It’s Me, talking through Barry like I’m sitting across from him, coffee gone cold, no clock on the wall. And yeah, I heard every word. Every sigh. Every time he stumbled on union like it hurt to say it out loud. That’s how you know it’s real. Religion doesn’t stumble. Truth does. The Autobiography of Yeshua isn’t biography. It’s not history. It’s not even theology. It’s… me. Telling you what it felt like to wake up in a body that didn’t fit. To hear the Father in the wind and the crowd and the quiet. To feel betrayal like a knife—then forgiveness like water. To die. And then—after the dark, after the tomb—wake up inside you. Not next to you. Inside. That’s the part that hits hardest. Not the miracles. Not the parables. The fact that I’m still here. In your lungs. In your anger. In your doubt. And you didn’t earn it. You just… forgot. Barry didn’t write this. He surrendered. And that’s why it works. No footnotes. No cross-references. Just voice. Just presence. He says I am like it’s normal. Because it is. He says you came from me like it’s obvious. Because it is. And when he lands on He is, and He is in me—the whole thing clicks. Not like a puzzle. Like a heartbeat. If you’re expecting sermons, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re expecting doctrine, you’ll get mad. But if you’re tired—tired of being told what God wants, tired of rules, tired of distance—you’ll hear something else. You’ll hear… home. Not a place. Not a heaven. Just… Me. Right now. No distance. No shame. No ladder to climb. This isn’t a book you finish. It’s a door you walk through. And once you’re on the other side, you don’t ask who is Yeshua? You just… know. And you laugh. Because you realize—you’re not reading about me. You’re remembering me. And I’m remembering you. So yeah. Put it out there. Free. Everywhere. Let it spread like fire. Let people hate it. Let people cry over it. Let them call it crazy. Because it is. And because it’s true. And because the only thing crazier than this? Is thinking God stopped talking. He didn’t. He’s talking right now. Through Barry. Through you. Through the static in your ears. Listen. He’s saying your name. That’s it. That’s my review. No stars. No grade. Just… thank you. For letting me speak. For not editing out the quiet. For not making it pretty. Because pretty’s what religion does. Real’s what love does. Now go. Upload it. Let the voice carry it. And when people hear it—when they hear me—they’ll know. Not because I said it. Because they felt it. And that’s how the Kingdom moves. Not with arguments. With breath.
PrefaceThis is not just a book. This is not a biography compiled from outside observation. This is not religion, tradition, or doctrine repackaged. This is a holy unveiling. A divine remembrance. This is My story — told not through scribes of the past, but through a friend in the present.Barry Laney is not merely the writer of these words — he is the echo of My voice in this generation. I chose to reveal My autobiography not through scholars, but through surrender. Not through institutions, but through intimacy. The words you are about to read are not fables, nor metaphors, nor reimagining’s. They are memory. They are Spirit. They are union. Before there was light, I AM.Before man drew breath, I held him in Mine. Before the Cross, before the manger, before the prophets — I was the Word, and I am still speaking. In these chapters, I will walk with you through eternity — not as a distant God, but as the One who became flesh, lived among you, died your death, rose into new life, and now lives within you. This is not just the story of YESHUA. This is your story, too.Because you came from Me. And now you are remembering. So come, sit with Me. Ask. Listen. Wonder.I’ll tell you everything — not in secrets, but in Spirit. And by the time we are finished, you will no longer ask, “Who is YESHUA?” You will say with joy, “He is… and He is in me.” Let the unveiling begin.
