OPIE: FINAL MIC DROP

The Final Year. The Unfiltered Truth. The Pirate Ship in the Corporate Suite.

For four decades, Opie dominated the airwaves, but the most legendary chapter happened when he finally stopped playing by the rules. After years of dominating the airwaves on Opie and Anthony, the microphone never really turned off, Critics and die-hard fans call it the best radio of his career: a final, defiant year at SiriusXM where Opie was essentially running an underground pirate ship right in the middle of corporate headquarters.

The Core Crew:
Relive the undeniable chemistry with the late, great Carl Ruiz, Vic Henley, Sherrod Small and the friends who kept it real while the corporate clock was ticking.

The Comedy Giants:
Raw, laugh-out-loud sessions with the absolute A-list, including Bill Burr, Theo Von, Bert Kreischer, Chris DiStefano, Artie Lange, Ron White, Phil Collins, Jerry Springer and the top tier of the comedy world.

The Arc of the End:
This is the definitive record of a show that was hitting its absolute peak just as the rug was being pulled. You’ll hear the evolution, the laughter, and the heartbreak as the radio era comes to its definitive end.

The corporate shackles are off. The mic is live. This is OPIE: FINAL MIC DROP.

Artie Lange, Vic Henley, and Jay Williams from ESPN join Opie in the last year of radio. Artie barely sits down before he’s out the door for a doctor’s appointment — but not before rats, reincarnation, Gandhi, and Howard talk. Jay stays and goes nuclear: the motorcycle accident that “pretty much broke his dick,” Shaq swinging it in the All-Star locker room, Barkley late-night food runs, Trump accepting the results… if he wins, Pitino’s stripper mess, and the Josh Brown Giants story. Unfiltered Final Mic Drop chaos.
Artie Lange, Vic Henley, Jay Williams, and Morgan Spurlock join Opie for one of the last years of his radio run. Artie tells a brutal jail story involving a cellmate’s knee, Jay and Vic tear into sports betting and NBA trash talk, and Spurlock walks through his horror-style rat documentary—until Artie imagines Gandhi coming back as an angry temple rat. Filthy, funny, and completely off the rails.*** Best Last Year of Radio series is the last year of radio Opie ever did.
Vic Henley and Artie Lange roll in and the show turns into a classic, messy, hilarious hang. Artie tells the hospital-room story with Howard and Robin, the rejected book commercial, rehab calls from South Beach, DEA visits, comedy-club menu apartheid (openers get the wings, headliners get the T-bone), and why the Stern world feels different now. Vic keeps it grounded while Opie rages about temporary offices and corporate nonsense. Radio-war hallway fights, Speedy Gonzalez tattoos in jail, and “despite all my rage I am still just a rat in a cage” energy throughout. Pure unfiltered Opie + Artie + Vic. No notes. Just stories.
Tough Town for a Clown

Tough Town for a Clown

2026-10-0944:10

Opie, Vic Henley, and DC Benny go from childhood fat nicknames and Token Whitey war stories at the Apollo to Benny’s all-timer: he filmed Comedy Central spots as a clown, crashed his wife’s psych session in full makeup, started a turf war with a Washington Square mime, got arrested when the mime’s kit turned out to be 50 bags of weed… and years later found the mugshot hanging in a SoHo gallery labeled “Tough Town for a Clown.” Plus the worst clown PSA ever made, Halloween costume panic, and pumpkin-spice privilege.
Vic Henley finally gets his buddy DC Benny on Opie’s show and immediately starts explaining why. What follows is downtown storytelling nights, live baby rats, a horse-ass acid story, comedy in China, a 1988 Sam Kinison tape, and a blue poodle run-in with Donald Trump. Then Dr. Steve calls in mid-limp after tearing a basically useless calf muscle at 61, grades Vic as an endomorph, and casually walks them through debate “go pills.” First time these three are in the same room. It sounds like it.
