It’s been a week of bombshells for the Royal Family, as the late Princess Diana’s brother, Earl Spencer, released a tell-all book commemorating his sister’s life and sharing stories from her time as a member of the Royal Family. Well, at least, that’s what it was meant to be.
The book revealed several shocking claims, the most notable being the suggestion that King Charles, then Prince Charles, was seen to be “giddy” after learning that his then-wife and mother of his two children, Diana, had died in a tragic car crash in Paris.
Many have slammed this claim, including her former butler, Paul Burrell, who on Piers Morgan Uncensored said Charles was in fact completely 'broken' by the news.
Another claim made by Earl Spencer that has since swiftly been proven to be untrue concerned Piers Morgan and his time as editor of the Daily Mirror, when the newspaper published photographs taken with a hidden camera at Diana’s gym, showing her working out in a leotard. Piers has since threatened to sue Spencer over the incorrect claims, with Earl Spencer offering a public apology for making “wrongful assumptions.”
So, joining Jo Elvin, Katie Nicholl and Grant Harrold on today’s Royals Uncensored to unpack all of this and more is royal author and commentator Ingrid Seward, Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror Russell Myers, former PPO to Princess Diana Ken Wharfe, and host of Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, Kinsey Schofield.

In a special edition of The Royals Uncensored, hosts Katie Nicholl, Jo Elvin and royal butler Grant Harrold are joined by Piers Morgan and star of ‘Queen of the Castle’, Ann Kaplan Mulholland at Lympne Castle in Ashford.
In front of a live audience, the panel discuss Harry and Meghan’s status, after a letter from King Charles made clear that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are non-working royals and have no HRH status.
The intervention has reportedly left the Sussexes surprised, while Uganda’s withdrawal from the Invictus Games has sparked further controversy, with a source close to Harry and Meghan blaming the King’s letter.
Meanwhile, the Home Office and Royal and VIP Executive Committee are reviewing Harry and Meghan’s UK security arrangements, with a decision expected on whether their taxpayer-funded protection should change.
Fresh reports also suggest Prince Harry could be planning a new project about his mother, Princess Diana, ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death - potentially reigniting tensions with Prince William.
Four years after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the panel reflects on her extraordinary 70-year reign and the changes to the Royal Family since her passing.
Prince George has also begun a new chapter at Eton College, following in the footsteps of his father Prince William and uncle Prince Harry.
A special thanks to Ann Kaplan-Mulholland and the team at Lympne Castle for hosting us on our first live event!
