Seven years after staging a wildcat strike outside Crazy Girls, veteran stripper and labor organizer Antonia Crane returns to the scene of the rebellion. Joining Velveeta and Marianina on the Hollywood sidewalk, she recounts how Soldiers of Pole confronted wage theft at the club and helped ignite a new chapter of stripper organizing in Los Angeles.
But what happens when workers put everything on the line and don’t get the victory they expected? Antonia challenges the idea that organizing should come with an immediate reward. Drawing on her experience with the historic Lusty Lady union, she argues that revolution isn’t measured by contracts or individual wins, but by the solidarity and collective power that survive the struggle. The conversation revisits Star Garden’s unfinished union fight, the challenges of worker-owned strip clubs, and the role customers can play in supporting sex worker movements. Because when workers stand up to their bosses, courage is contagious.

Dolly Parton takes center stage as Velveeta and Marianina celebrate an icon who found beauty in the town tramp and made trashy look powerful. Her refusal to judge other people becomes a jumping-off point for talking about the freedom to look sexy on your own terms. When a Hollywood passerby shares his own encounter with Dolly, the sidewalk gets an unexpected firsthand story about the kindness behind the legend.
That celebration gets complicated by The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Velveeta takes apart the movie’s romance, its treatment of sex workers, and an ending where stigma wins because nobody publicly fights back. The conversation also turns to AI-generated models and what gets lost when human sexuality becomes an artificial product. Through it all, Dolly remains impeccable. Praise Dolly.

Fresh off a stripping trip through the North Woods, Velveeta returns to Hollywood wondering why coming home to the hustle left her feeling stressed instead of fulfilled. Stories from small dive clubs become a case for the value of stripping itself, where connection becomes part of the work and emotional labor finally comes with a price tag.
A fresh lychee from Grocery Outlet leads Velveeta toward a bigger question: why should workers have to spend their lives pursuing happiness instead of getting to enjoy it? She turns to labor organizer Rose Schneiderman and the idea of “bread and roses,” arguing that workers deserve more than enough to simply survive. They deserve pleasure, leisure, and the fruits of what their labor creates. Against a culture built around accumulation and endless striving, Velveeta makes her pitch for redistribution and a different measure of wealth: appreciating what we already have and sharing it with each other.

Velveeta kicks things off with “Cherry Bomb” before getting into the fight to unionize Star Garden and what happened after the dancers won their jobs back. A fired passerby gets recruited into the newly coined “labor wave,” while Velveeta argues for decriminalization and declares sex workers essential workers.
Marianina arrives ready to imagine a different social order, taking on patriarchy, hierarchy, and who gets to hold power. The conversation turns toward intersectional feminism before landing on mutual aid as something people can practice right now: share resources, ask for help, trust your neighbors. Velveeta reflects on learning to have faith in other people during the Star Garden campaign, and Marianina brings it home with an original protest song calling for the walls to come down.
