In this week's episode of The Nick Speaks Podcast, I get emotional asI open up about something that has weighed heavily on my heart sinceThursday night. After attending a Halloween party with everyone from my homehealthcare agency, I came home struggling with feelings I neverexpected to have. Being surrounded by individuals with differentphysical and intellectual disabilities made me reflect on somethingdeeply personal. Some people are physically able but mentallydisabled, some are physically disabled but mentally enabled, like me,and others are both physically and mentally disabled.Seeing everyone at that party affected me in a way I still struggle toput into words. My heart has been incredibly heavy ever since, andI've found myself wrestling with emotions that I don't fullyunderstand. That night, I found myself asking God a question I never thought Iwould ask: Why didn't You make me like them?I actually found myself feeling guilty for having a brain and themental abilities that I do. It's a difficult feeling to explain, andthroughout this episode, I attempt to process those emotions openlyand honestly with you. Please hear my heart in this episode. This conversation comes from aplace of love, compassion, and a genuine struggle to understand whyI've been given the abilities I have when others face such differentchallenges.A quick clarification: Throughout this episode, I occasionally referto the Halloween party as happening on Friday night. However, theparty actually took place on Thursday night. I go back and forthbetween the two days during the conversation, but Thursday is thecorrect day.If this episode touches your heart, please like, follow, and share TheNick Speaks Podcast. In this week's episode of The Nick Speaks Podcast, I'm speakingdirectly to pastors, both men and women, about church hurt, accountability, and why I believe today's generation is walking awayfrom traditional church.Christians need to stop telling people who have experienced churchhurt to simply get over it or not allow what a man or woman of God didto change their view of God. The reality is that, for many people, italready has. When a church leader falls, the consequences reach far beyond thatleader's immediate family. Their actions can forever affect the sheepwho were under their spiritual leadership. While I believe that the actions of a church leader should notdetermine whether someone walks away from God altogether, pastors needto understand the tremendous responsibility that comes with theircalling.Their mistakes don't just affect them. They can affect hundreds, thousands, and sometimes even millions of people who follow theirministries and look up to the God they see reflected in that man orwoman. In this episode, I'm challenging church leaders to recognize thelasting impact their actions can have on people's faith and whycompassion, accountability, and understanding are essential if thechurch wants to reach today's generation. The Nick Speaks Podcast releases new episodes every Tuesday at 7 AM onYouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and iHeartRadio.Like, share, and subscribe! This week’s episode was inspired by a private message I received from one of my TikTok followers. While responding, I found myself admitting something incredibly vulnerable: sometimes God hasn’t been enough for me. But I think I finally understand why. I know why God hasn’t been enough for me, and I believe a lot of born-again believers struggle with the exact same thing. The answer may surprise you. I know it surprised me when I had the revelation myself. At the same time, the Bible tells us that God said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” God created us with a need for human connection, friendship, companionship, and community. But as believers, are we ever truly alone? In this episode, I have a vulnerable conversation about loneliness, my relationship with God, and the realization that forced me to take a hard look at myself and ask: Why hasn’t God been enough for me?
