80's Mateys are back, like they've never been back before... This time Chat GPT has given them October 1986 to go back in time to revisit. This episode they review two films chosen in the previous episode from March 1986 - Spookies and Chopping Mall.80's Mateys review the music of the month by flicking through the Smash Hits magazine of the month and frankly taking the mickey out of anything they can.As usual, unscripted and features some interesting (and quite a lot that isn't interesting) chats about the year in question. The brothers also have to choose a product each from a page (chosen by AI) from the Argos catalogue of the time. We are very biased, but this is possibly the funniest episode yet, certainly the longest.
Here it is - 80's Mateys Highlights Volume 3.Here is the second part of some of the favourite parts from previous 80's Mateys podcasts. It has been 6 years since we recorded these episodes and to listen to them back gives some great nostalgia, just like the 80's!Listen to this highlight reel, of this fantastic podcast looking back to the 80's. Under 25 minutes of unscripted, unplanned fun. The brothers spend a lot of their time laughing. It's short, very short... What else can you do in 25 minutes?!!Join them, relax and allow yourself to smile and laugh along with them... Even if sometimes you don't really understand why you are laughing :-)
We are back with a bumper episode. We review the movies chosen from the previous podcast (which covered March 1987). Budget David Corman Gremlins knock off "The Munchies" and Australian adventure "Frog Dreaming / The Quest" Starring Henry Thomas (Elliot from E.T.).This episode Chat GPT has chosen March (again) in 1986 this time. We go through a copy of Smash Hits from the period, discuss some of the lesser known songs from the period as well as some of the more well known Hits. Also we pick a page from the Argos catalogue from 1986. Improvised (clearly) no script, we just wing it. What you get is a true reaction from what we see and hear from the day. We are not professional, in any way, what you get is a rough around the edges podcast which you may find yourself reminiscing with us and occasionally laugh along (as we often fall into fits of laughter). We hope you enjoy coming on this journey with us as much as we enjoy recording it.
Here it is, the second of the 80's Mateys highlights. The brothers chat all things 80's, from the top 40 UK Charts from, Smash Hits and Movies. The highlights (Greatest Hits) are part of the previous pod casts that were particular highlights with people (mainly us) for various reasons :-)Enjoy!
Yes, it is here. Some of the highlights from the very early 80's Mateys Pod Cast episodes. Covering the very early 80's (1980).Highlights include Johnny Ramones top 10, where he can never remember the album title (not even his own). The brothers also dive into the nonsense lyrics of Matchbox "Buzz Buzz a diddle it"!Funny, light entertainment in a short, easy to digest podcast.
