Have you thought about writing a novel? I know I have. I am probably the last person who will be able to do it and actually get it done. Ani Alexander from the Write 2B Read Podcast talks about her choice to become a writer and offers advice to others who want to do the same. I enjoyed my conversation with Ani. I hope you enjoy it too. Feel free to reach out to her online.

I had a great chat with David Klein about his story. Then off the record, we chatted about my business. I'm glad we were finally able to connect and he was able to share his story. There are a lot of like lessons here. Hope you enjoy it and have learned something.
From Business Insider:
"You've probably never heard of David Klein. He's the guy who invented the Jelly Belly. He came up with the idea in 1976 and lost the trademark before President Ronald Reagan made the candy popular."

Peter Arnott has a great way to start cash flowing with Amazon Kindle digital books or ebooks. It's simple. It just takes action. Find trending digital book topics that are selling on Amazon. Write an outline for a book. Have a ghost writer write it for you (make sure they sign an NDA). Build a following for the book by giving it away. Watch it climb the charts and collect seventy cents on the dollar from Amazon per book. There is more to it than that but you get the idea. More to tell in the interview and also at the link below.

I met Dawn Sole in the Shark Tank Entrepreneurs Facebook group and thought I'd bring her on the show. We get started after some chit chat about the weather (Miami Beach vs Green Bay, no contest, right?) and Dawn breaks down what she has been doing to get her product off the ground and into the hands of consumers. Hope you enjoy. Share, Like, and review. You can comment too, if you're nice. Find more about Pluck 'N File and Dawn below.

I met Russie Jones in the Shark Tank Entrepreneurs Facebook group and invited her to be on the show. She has a moving story on why she developed the Rely-A-Light, a lamp that works during a power outage. She has agreed to give away one Rely-A-Light, valued at $189.99. Check for instructions on the Rely-A-Light Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/RelyALight

We hope to see her on Shark Tank soon. I think she has a very "Shark Tankable" product.
I met Dave Conrey at Podcast Movement 2014 in Dallas, Texas. I first saw Dave in a promotional video for Marie Forleo's B-School so it was great to finally meet him. He helps artists be better at the business side of being an artist. There are a lot of tools online to help you sell your art or your skill, you just need guidance. Dave can help. Here are some of the online tools he mentioned.

This is dedicated to my dad who died July 26, 2014. My dad served in Vietnam and I never really talked to him about it. My niece Sadie had the opportunity to do something that I was not able to do; sit down and have a conversation with him about Vietnam. She wrote a paper about her conversation with my dad, Milton. This is a recording of the first time I read it. It is emotional and unedited. Rest in peace dad.
Here is my dad's obituary:

I met Colleen on the Facebook Group "Shark Tank Entrepreneurs." She has a great story how she came up with the idea to develop her product that she sells nationwide. This device is perfect for people who need to clean nebulizer or oxygen tubing. It uses UVC light to disinfect and kill 99.9% of germs and other harmful micro-organisms. From the site: "C-Pap Easy Clean germ reducing light can penetrate a micro-organism's cell membrane damaging the DNA, preventing growth and killing the organism. Kills up to 99.9% of germs, viruses and other micro-organisms on solid, non-porous surfaces." She also gives away six a year to disabled veterans in need. They retail for 279.99 plus tax and shipping. Links below.

You will enjoy this episode with Tim Forrest. Great conversation and insight on business and branding. Here is a sample from his website: "Tim powers growth and his clients agree sharing insight into how Tim's creativity doubled their sales volumes, developed 'sell out' consumer programs, and catapulted them into international markets, along with leading a record 20 vendors into the club channel, 10 items onto QVC Television, introducing food companies to Disney and Walmart, and he just recently pioneered one of the world's largest Organic product launches."
