Ryan loses his mind over Ocho's viral claim that Caleb Williams is the most talented quarterback of all time — then dismantles it play by play. What starts as a highlight reel gets exposed for exactly what it is: filtered touchdown passes against busted coverages and trick plays dressed up as serious film analysis. The rant is equal parts hilarious and surgical. Ryan breaks down why stitching together 30-yard touchdown highlights is not "the tape" and why Ocho's analysis doesn't hold up to even basic scrutiny The DeVondre Sweat-to-Jets trade for Jermaine Johnson gets a quick hit reaction — what it means for both teams and why player-for-player swaps are so rare Teamworks acquires Pro Football Focus, and Ryan explains why this could either supercharge PFF or kill its consumer-facing product entirely Special teams coordinator interviews are heating up with four candidates coming in for in-person meetings — a hire could come by the weekend Javon Bullard's elite coverage numbers put him in company with Kyle Hamilton and Derwin James Free agency and the new league year are less than two weeks away, so buckle up — things are about to move fast. Ryan hits the microphone in a raw, unfiltered state after seeing the latest organizational grades drop — and what starts as a temperature check on the Packers roster turns into a full-blown reckoning with the direction of this franchise. Kyle from Madison kicks things off asking the question every fan is wrestling with: are the Packers a legitimate contender, or are they a Micah Parsons injury away from irrelevance? Ryan unloads on the Packers' inability to develop draft picks and the troubling trend of building through free agency like "garbage teams do" Matt LaFleur's leadership comes under the microscope — liked by everyone, but will players actually go to war for him? The season ticket resale debate heats up as a passionate ticket holder pushes back on Ryan's ID proposal Uncle Rico checks in with a hilarious breakdown of the Bears' stadium saga and their toothless leverage game Callers demand a killer instinct — why does this team keep taking its foot off the gas with leads? Ryan spirals into an honest rant about information overload, the Olympics losing their magic, and why we might all be too dumb for transparency Plus: pork belly on the smoker, podcast distribution headaches, and the Indiana Bears jokes keep rolling Grab a seat, call in, and let it out — this is your late-night therapy session for Packers frustration. #Packers #GreenBay #PackerNet #NFL #AfterDark #PackersRant #MattLaFleur #Gutey #NFLDraft #FreAgency This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Packers Total Access : LIVE Combine Reaction To DT Measurments!
The Packers are heading into the offseason with the worst offensive line of the PFF era, and Ryan isn't buying what Brian Gutekunst is selling. Today's episode dives deep into the numbers behind Aaron Banks' career — and the data tells a very different story than the GM's glowing endorsement at the combine. A full PFF breakdown of Aaron Banks' career grades reveals a player who has never cracked the top 20 at his position, despite his massive contract and $9.5 million roster bonus looming on day three of the league year Ryan challenges the Packers' philosophical shift toward bigger, stronger offensive linemen, arguing the team has historically dominated with smaller, athletic technicians — and the power approach has produced nothing but failure Combine day one highlights including Florida kicker Trey Smack drilling a 60-yarder after getting iced, plus quick hits on Aaron Rodgers' timeline, Tyler Linderbaum's market-setting deal, and the Brian Thomas trade rumors Early clues on Jeff Gannon's defensive scheme suggest a 3-4 base with nickel principles — and why that's actually exciting news for Micah Parsons and Rashan Gary Is the front office in denial, or do they see something the stats don't? The quarterback market is getting desperate, offensive tackle stock is crumbling, and the Combine is about to shake up the entire 2026 draft board. Ryan dives deep into the chaos unfolding across the NFL as teams scramble for answers heading into draft season. Key Discussion Points: The Vikings are "exploring all quarterback options" while JJ McCarthy sits on the roster — what that really signals and why drafting a QB before hiring a GM would be organizational malpractice Multiple teams including the Browns, Dolphins, and Jets are hunting for quarterback solutions, with Malik Willis hysteria reaching a fever pitch and teams calling Carolina about Andy Dalton Some NFL teams believe no offensive tackle in this class deserves a top 10 pick, a stunning departure from consensus rankings on Mauigoa and Fano Combine spotlight prospects who need to prove themselves: Ty Simpson, Garrett Nussmeier, Akeem Mesidor, Aiden Fisher, and Emmanuel McNeil-Warren each face make-or-break moments A passionate case for why the "mediocre draft class" narrative is lazy and why fans should invest in knowing prospects beyond the first round Don't just follow the first round — dig into the full draft with us and subscribe for year-round coverage! #NFLDraft #NFLCombine #DraftRoom #NFLDraft2026 #PackernetPodcast This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Packers Total Access : Talkin Defensive Tackle, Cornerback & Offensive Line Prospects!
Brian Gutekunst Talks at the Combine
The phones are ringing and the callers are NOT holding back. Tonight's After Dark kicks off with a full-blown roast of the Chicago Bears and their fans' endless excuses for empty seats — turns out "there's so much to do in Chicago" doesn't hold up when your team might be moving to Hammond, Indiana. That "stupid piece of paper" Packers fans hold doesn't seem so stupid now, does it? The show takes a more serious turn as callers and Ryan reflect on the tragic losses within the Minnesota Vikings organization and the broader mental health struggles NFL players face when their identity is stripped away by injury or decline — from Jaire Alexander to Romeo Doubs to Christian Watson, the emotional toll of the league is real and worth talking about. Callers also dive into the special teams coordinator search and whether the Packers are willing to sacrifice offensive or defensive practice time to fix the unit, the backup quarterback debate and whether "planning to lose" without a quality backup is a fireable offense, one caller's passionate plea for Ryan to get a press pass, and a quick detour into why nobody's been talking about the Winter Olympics. The Combine is here and the rumors are flying. In this episode, we dive headfirst into the flood of news pouring out of Indianapolis as scouts, GMs, and media collide for the first time this offseason. From Kirk Cousins getting his walking papers in Atlanta to the stunning freefall of quarterbacks across draft boards, there's a lot to unpack. The bizarre quarterback class where former projected first-rounders like Chet Club Nick, Carson Beck, and Drew Allar are plummeting into Day 3 territory, and why that's actually great news for some teams Jordan Tyson skipping Combine workouts and why the outrage is completely overblown Fernando Mendoza's quiet rise as a "special prospect" that nobody seems to want to talk about — and the Cam Ward comparison nobody wants to hear Deep dives into the Raiders, Dolphins, and Jets as the NFL's most desperate rebuilds collide with a thin quarterback market Free agency rumblings including Trey Hendrickson, Jalen Waddle trade talk, Malik Willis to Miami or Arizona, and receivers Alec Pierce and George Pickens commanding $27M annually Whether you're building your mock draft or just trying to keep up with the Combine chaos, this one's packed wall to wall. #NFLDraft #NFLCombine #DraftRoom #GreenBayPackers #PackernetPodcast This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! Packers Total Access : Packers Comp Pick Breakdown + What Should Gutey Do At Stackbacker?
The NFL Combine is underway and there's no shortage of Packers-related intel to break down. Ryan kicks things off with the official death of the tush push ban — no team even submitted a proposal this year, despite league-wide usage actually increasing. So much for player safety concerns. The Packers have a formal meeting scheduled with LSU linebacker Harold Perkins Jr., a former five-star recruit with elite pass rush ability but serious questions about his ACL recovery and undersized frame Rasheed Walker's free agent market could hit $25 million per year, with the Chiefs, Patriots, and even the Lions reportedly circling — and what that means for Green Bay's compensatory pick formula Elgton Jenkins is "widely expected" to be released before the league year, adding another name to the painful list of Packers talent that never reached its ceiling Green Bay is meeting with a surprising number of small-school quarterbacks at the Combine, plus a deep dive on kicker Marco Jovisick and tight end prospect Eli Stowers The Packers double down on their warning to season ticket holders who resell — and Ryan lays out exactly how he'd enforce it Get your calls in for tomorrow's show and stay locked in as Combine week heats up. The Draft Room goes full community mode with a unique third-round mock draft built from fan-submitted mocks in the NFL Draft Fanatics Facebook group. Using real first and second round selections posted by group members as the foundation, each third-round pick becomes a legitimate exercise in evaluating need, value, and available talent as the board thins out. All 36 third-round selections broken down pick by pick, including team needs, player evaluations, and positional value analysis The Packers land Jake Slaughter, offensive center out of Florida, as teams passing on the position let him fall perfectly into Green Bay's lap Garrett Nussmeier to Arizona as a Day 2 QB, the Steelers finally addressing offense after heavy defensive investments, and why Miami needs three straight trench players A deep look at which positions accumulate value in the third round, from the run on corners and defensive tackles to the surprising tight end and safety selections late in the round Drop your own mock drafts in the NFL Draft Fanatics Facebook group and make sure your fan base is represented — 30,000 members strong and growing. Packers Total Access : Breaking Down Gutey's Athletic Thresholds
It's Mock Draft Monday, and this time YOU built the board. Ryan takes fan-submitted draft crushes from the Packernet Facebook group and X to construct a complete seven-round mock draft for the Packers — and the results might surprise you. Full breakdown of all seven picks including CB Chris Johnson (SDSU) at 52, DT Dominic Orange (Iowa State) at 84, OL Cage Casey (Boise State) at 120, C Pat Coogan (Indiana) at 158, RB Robert Henry Jr. (UTSA) at 200, CB Devon Marshall (NC State) at 237, and LB Red Murdock (Buffalo) at 257 Deep scouting profiles on each prospect with PFF grades, injury histories, pro comps, and scheme fits for Green Bay's defense and zone-blocking offense The Aaron Jones comp for Robert Henry Jr. that's "almost eerie," and why Red Murdock's NCAA-record 17 career forced fumbles make him a potential steal of the draft Jennings Dunker update: he's slid to consensus #52 overall, putting him squarely in Packers range Don't forget — the NFL Combine kicks off now, so stay locked in for updated prospect intel and Brian Gutekunst's upcoming press conference. #Packers #NFLDraft #MockDraft #GreenBayPackers #PackerNet #NFLCombine This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! The Sunday night crew brings the heat heading into Combine week with a loaded call-in session tackling the Packers' biggest questions. The conversation dives deep into Green Bay's offensive line woes, with callers and Ryan breaking down the alarming lack of development along the front five and what needs to change with Morgan and Belton getting locked into positions this offseason. Callers dismantle the Caleb Williams arm talent hype, arguing that every NFL quarterback can make elite throws and that the Bears' success was fueled by historic luck unlikely to repeat The great defensive draft debate: should the Packers prioritize defensive backs to complement Micah, or double down on the pass rush? A passionate breakdown of why the backup quarterback position matters more than people admit, with Ryan revisiting his own past takes Fans sound off on the team's need for vocal alpha leaders and a tougher mentality in the locker room The calls keep rolling as the offseason officially kicks into high gear with the Combine starting tomorrow. How much should a torn ACL actually move a prospect down your board? In this episode of the Draft Room, we dig into real orthopedic studies and data spanning decades of NFL Combine medical evaluations to answer one of the most underrated questions in draft analysis — how do pre-draft injuries actually impact career production, and are NFL teams overcorrecting in the early rounds? Key Discussion Points: Deep dive into the Brophy 2008 study and a 2018 systematic review covering 32 studies on how specific injuries (ACL, rotator cuff, Lisfranc, spinal) correlate to fewer games, lower snap counts, and shortened careers Football Outsiders data suggesting teams overcorrect for injury in early rounds, creating value windows for savvy drafters A thorough breakdown of why "Best Player Available" is more myth than reality — and why tier-based drafting with need awareness is the smarter approach Pronunciation guide for commonly mispronounced 2026 prospects including Ihana Chore, Wetjen (Wee-Jin), Mauigoa, Pregnon, and more Whether you're building your own big board or just want to understand how NFL front offices really think about medical risk, this one's packed with actionable insight. The Packers have added another name to the special teams coordinator search, and Ryan is losing his mind over it. Sam Sewell, the former assistant special teams coordinator for the Arizona Cardinals — a unit that finished 30th in DVOA — is the latest interview, and the pattern of targeting coaches from the league's worst units continues to baffle. From there, Ryan breaks down the full NFL Combine schedule day by day and maps out every critical offseason date from legal tampering through training camp. Deep dive into the Rasheed Walker tag-and-trade scenario and why the math makes it dead on arrival at a $28 million tag price Full breakdown of Packers trade candidates including Rashawn Gary, Elton Jenkins, Aaron Banks, Josh Jacobs, Keyshawn Nixon, and more — with contract details and realistic return values Rob Demovsky's latest notes on Jordan Morgan, Quay Walker's price tag, Malik Willis's market, and Romeo Doubs' future Ryan fires back at ESPN's Evan Cohen and the tired national narrative questioning Jordan Love after three consecutive strong PFF grades Hit subscribe and leave a review to help the show grow. The Friday night phones are lit up and the callers came ready to throw haymakers. Tonight's Packernet After Dark kicks off with a deep dive into the Bears' stadium saga — and the absolute roasting that follows their potential move to Hammond, Indiana. The callers can't contain themselves, and neither can we. The Bears-to-Hammond news dominates the night as callers pile on Illinois' inability to keep its own historic franchise, complete with population comparisons to Green Bay and relentless ribbing about the "Hammond Bears" A thoughtful debate breaks out over whether the Packers should draft a backup quarterback or pursue a veteran like Justin Fields, with Dakota from Tennessee making the case for NFL-experienced backups Special teams coordinator candidates Kyle Wilbur and Tom McMahon get the statistical breakdown treatment, and the numbers aren't pretty — sparking a bigger question about whether any available coordinator can actually improve the unit The offensive line conversation resurfaces with a painful "what if we drafted Creed Humphrey" butterfly effect, plus callers weigh in on Belichick's Hall of Fame snub and the podcast officially names its Poet Laureate Subscribe, leave a review, and call in next time — new callers go straight to the front of the line at 608-501-0718! #Packers #GreenBayPackers #PackernetAfterDark #ChicagoBears #HammondBears #NFLOffseason #GoPackGo #SpecialTeams #BackupQB #NFL This episode is brought to you by PrizePicks! What if almost nothing at the NFL Combine actually predicts success? Ryan went deep into the data — correlating height, weight, 40 time, vertical, bench, broad jump, shuttle, and three-cone results against NFL career value scores — and the results are humbling. Almost every metric across every position lands squarely in the "noise" category. But what emerged from the frustration is a powerful new way to think about prospect evaluation. Position-by-position correlation breakdown reveals almost zero signal in any individual combine drill, with the 40-yard dash showing some of the weakest predictive value of all Surprising inverse correlations: why slower 40 times, lower verticals, and weaker bench numbers sometimes trend with more successful players — and what that actually means The offensive tackle vertical jump mystery: a negative .314 correlation that challenges everything we assume about explosiveness Ryan introduces the "Craftsman vs. Weapon" framework — why how a player uses their physical tools matters far more than the tools themselves, and how to think about "buckets" when evaluating prospects at the Combine Stop chasing the shiny 40 time and start asking the real question: can this player actually use what he's got? I'm sick of hearing Brett Favre now. He didn't 'get long great' . He treated Rodgers like garbage. Leave the Packers alone. He acted a fool towards the team. Just stay out of it

The commentary regarding the Green Bay Packers is getting excessive. Especially on YouTube. Skip, Nick etc....have never played football, yet their opinions are so important. I defend both Rodgers and La Fleur. I'm not in the meetings. I'm a lifelong fan. Whatever is going on will resolve itself. GPG

I read AR's comments regarding the new CBA. Nowhere did he call or imply any players as being stupid. He was saying they're too distracted to totally understand the complete offer from the NFL. His comments were a direct result of a vote he took among his teammates. AR is not the enemy.

I'm a native Milwaukee resident. I grew up there. YES! all the friggin crime during the 80s with the crack epidemic moved it's way north to nice Wisconsin. After Chicago dismantled cabrini green, robert taylor holmes projects. All of the worst people moved to Wisconsin and f ed up MY state. I remember being at a game there. I was wearing Packer gear. People were pelting us for most of the time with batteries. Yeah, on Superbowl Sunday 1997. there was an incident in the Chicago land area at a bar. A brave lone Packer fan transplant was cheering for Favre and our Superbowl winning team. Long story short he was stripped to his undies and duck taped to a pole. If you recall that night it was horrible weather wise. Enough said! You are so dead on. thank you! I love Chicago for the skyline, food, arts the lake we share! But the rest bites!
