Ok, so we're not actually against Kevin Smith. We love him. We will take any opportunity to make fun of him whenever we can. Why? Because he's famous, made a ton of money doing exactly what he loves, and invited all his friends to join him on his journey to be rich and famous. So, we're kind of jealous. So that's why we say, TURN YOUR HAT AROUND KEVIN SMITH, YOU LOOK LIKE A COMPLETE NERD! Ok, we're bullies, but he knows he has it good.
Ok, rant over. I don't know what happened on the show this episode since we taped it weeks ago. I know we make fun of Kevin Smith, I heard us cracking jokes about his interview with the cast of Bill and Ted's Face the Music. Which I thought was funny.
The reason why we haven't had a show was because of NM Comic Expo and we're also putting together a big variety show at Revel, and trying to buy a new house. So, we're a bit frazzled.
Will any of our fans want to help us upload our show to the web weekly? Do you know Wordpress? Would you volunteer to help us? We need a team of Directors Cut Fans, to help us! Let us know!
This week we review Heavyweights and Camp Nowhere, and why these movies from the '90s would never be made today! We also chat with Pat Lucero and talk All Things Must Pass: The Rise and Fall of Tower Records.
This week we review Skoob! Plus we try to come up with many scams.

How does a teenager become the accomplice of one of America’s most disturbing killers? For the first time in half a century, Elmer Wayne Henley Jr. opens up about his role in the murders committed with Dean Corll, the “Candyman Killer.”
In this week’s episode of Director’s Cut Radio, Dan Gutierrez speaks with criminologist Dr. Katherine Ramsland about her groundbreaking documentary The Serial Killer’s Apprentice. Ari Aster is back—and this time, he’s brought the paranoia home.
In his latest film Eddington, Aster trades Swedish forests and haunted attics for dusty New Mexico landscapes and pandemic-era breakdowns. Set in a fictional town unraveling under misinformation and digital overload, Eddington is a slow-burn thriller with massive emotional weight.
I had the chance to interview Ari for Directors Cut Radio while visiting the real-world filming location: Truth or Consequences, NM. We talked about:
Why he chose to set Eddington in his home state
How "Screens: The Movie" became the unofficial production nickname
What phones, AI, and digital isolation reveal about us
The layered trauma and belief systems fueling each character
And what it’s like to tell stories about people who can no longer hear each other
I may have started the interview by telling him I “hate” him—because the film stressed me out in all the best ways.
Ari Aster continues to be one of the most thoughtful, unnerving storytellers working today—and this time, he’s got New Mexico stitched into every frame.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever found in a storage locker? If your answer isn’t “Victorian post-mortem portraits,” then you haven’t lived the Storage Wars life like Brandi Passante has.
In this episode of Directors Cut Radio, Brandi joins me to talk about the new season of the long-running A&E hit, the thrill of uncovering forgotten treasures (or disasters), and why this season’s longer episodes reveal more of the chaos behind the scenes. Spoiler: Dave Hester is back, and Brandi has thoughts.
We also get personal—she opens up about some of her earliest finds, big wins, and bigger fails. And if you’re thinking about getting into the storage game? Her advice is simple: Don’t. It’s way messier (and grosser) than it looks on TV.
